MUSIC PRODUCER REACTS to EPIC the Musical OCEAN SAGA

[00:00:00]Okay, that's Cyclops Saga was quite a doozy. We are now going into the ocean saga reacting to the entire Epic the Musical from a music production perspective. So, I see that you guys have been enjoying this. Well, that makes one of us.

[00:00:15]This is tragic. It's awful. Is the music great? Yes. Do I sing these songs when I'm washing dishes? Yes. However, sadness. Okay, meanwhile there's 600 men on on the ship that just saw Odysseus talking to nobody.

[00:00:34]He's He's like, "Yo, we just saw you have a whole argument and sing a whole musical number with something we couldn't even see." What? This man's losing his mind.

[00:00:43]So, here we go. The ocean saga. I'm excited, but more than excited, I'm curious. I'm curious where where the story goes from here because Athena was like, "Yo, you ain't who I thought you were. I'm I'm out." Odysseus is like, uh "I might have just screwed up a little bit. Laertes is dead, right? He got clubbed to death, right? That's what it looked like in the animation at least. I mean, we got a remember them song, but not a remember him song. Like, that man gave us a banger with open arms. Like, with Maybe the lessons he taught Odysseus is what's going to carry on here. Still holding on hope that somebody caught the baby.

[00:01:20]Somebody How many times have we seen shows with cliffhangers where somebody falls and then the credits roll. And then the very next scene in the show is them hanging off hanging on a like a something that they caught or a branch or something showing that they didn't fall to their death.

[00:01:40]I'm holding on hope. Isn't Tom Holland in the Odyssey? Maybe he plays the baby.

[00:02:17]And then just a low pad, just a Matches the animatic theme of nighttime, you know? Low, quiet. That trumpet does sound like something is a brewing. Uh, and this song is called storm. So, that kind of makes sense.

So, probably a very important song in terms of the narrative, but musically, melodically, that just flat-out probably the weaker song that I've heard so far in the whole musical, which is fine. My Goodbye is going to be hard to beat. Like, My Goodbye sounded like I know it was the end of a saga, but it sounded like if there was an act one and act two of the musical, then it sounds like it would have been the end of the act type song.
