Successful eBay reselling follows the 3x profit rule, where items should be purchased for one-third of their target selling price to achieve a 200% return on investment. For example, purchasing Nintendo 64 games for $15 each (total $30) and selling them for $40-50 each generates approximately $90 in value, demonstrating how strategic sourcing and accurate pricing can transform flea market finds into profitable listings.

So, if it's a a game that's um if it's a game that's worth less than 20, it sells for four. I bulk lot it off. I just get it gone. Um not a priority for me because, you know, the ASP and the profit that you're making at the end of the day, >> it's it's just not worth the time. >> NL NRL stuff. NL.
>> Okay. Yeah. I mean, there is there's a bit of NRL around here.
>> It's just keeping the eyes peeled, right?
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Oh, very good. Well, all the best.
>> Hope you find some stuff. We got a really nice gift. Look at this. Such a such a thoughtful gift for the little one we've got coming up. He's couple of couple of months away.
Some really really nice really nice thoughtful gift. Kate's going to absolutely love that. So, we've been gifted one item and we've found nothing.
Well, this is quite bizarre, guys, because I've been here for quite a bit now and I'm yet to buy anything for the for the flip, which is surprising considering there's so many vendors out here. So, >> I don't want to end my day with absolutely nothing purchased on what looks to be such a big big nice morning out here, but >> we'll uh we'll keep going. We got a few more vendor boosts to go and then I might have to dig a little bit deeper to try and uncover some gems.
>> How much are those ones, mate?
>> $3. I'll take that one.
>> Uh three bucks, mate. There you go.
Thank you, sir. Appreciate that.
>> Now, that is not for the flip.
That is for one of my mates. One of my mates who's had a kid. Probably not going to They're probably not going to fit him, but eventually one day they'll fit him. So, for three bucks, >> not bad.
>> No word today.
>> No word.
Size eight.
That one, that one could have been a purchase, but it was a size eight. And shoes that are in slightly smaller men's sizes are a lot more difficult to sell. So, even for $10, to me, it's just not really worth it.
And I don't sell shoes either. So, you know, just because I'm in a position where I'm not finding stock doesn't mean I then try to start making just rushed bad buys.
Every single buy that I make needs to be a winner or it doesn't get purchased.
>> Legend.
>> He loves you. He's going to be like, "Oh, man."
>> No stress at all, man.
>> Have a good one.
>> Yeah. You too, brother. See you later.
>> Lot of Maryland cards, mate.
>> Just $30 a book. Whatever's there is there.
>> Yep.
>> And is everyone They're all Maryland.
>> I have no You'll find it might be that one.
>> That one. There's Marilyn in there, too.
>> Oh, one of them had the royal family in there.
>> Oh, I think that could be this.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh there.
>> Yeah.
>> Royal Family.
>> But you know, $30 a book.
>> 30 a book.
>> I have no idea about them, mate.
>> You don't know him?
>> Yeah.
I haven't been this way.
>> We're all families.
>> How you doing?
>> How are you?
>> Yeah, >> no worries. E, how you been going? All right.
>> First purchase.
>> Yeah, it's only 1520.
>> Really? I always thought a couple hundred. No, it's P PC is why.
>> Oh, it's strategy guides. Yeah, >> strategy guides go well, but it's um for PC.
>> I think it's your PlayStations, etc. that do the best.
>> Uh there's a shop.
>> Yeah, >> Mario Party. And that's 64.
>> Yeah, 64.
>> Yeah, >> Japan 64.
Mario Party 3. Two and three.
>> How much on them?
>> I was going to do 20 each, but I'll do the pair for 30.
>> Pair for 30. Okay.
Yeah, boys. We'll go 30.
>> Yep. Thanks, mate.
>> Appreciate it.
>> Thanks, brother. Appreciate it, mate.
Well, just like that, we are back. Now, I didn't buy a lot today, but what I did buy definitely did pack a punch. And I'm about to show you that in just a second, but I've got that $100 product guide. If you guys are interested about products that are consistently selling on eBay for over $100, that is going to be the guide to kick you off. Um, now look, two purchases, literally two purchases, but I have been here thoroughly doing some research to try and show you guys exactly what the items are going to go on to sell for on eBay. Now, firstly, I want to kick it off with the recent purchase here of Mario Party 2 and Mario Party 3 on the Nintendo 64. I like it for the fact that they are boxed. They have all of their inserts. They have their manuals as well. Uh, I don't think they are worth as much as what they are here in Australia if they were an Australian copy. Um, the Japanese versions just don't seem to be going for as much money. So, I've invested $15 each. I paid $30. So, 15 in on the two of them. Now, if I'm doing my numbers, I always like to three times my purchase to be able to double my money. That's my rule, my 3x rule. I think it's a great rule for anybody out there trying to work out how much to buy something for.
Always just try and triple it and then try and get it for a third of the price.
So, if I'm buying for 15, I want to triple it into $45. Now, this one here, Super Mario Party 2 on the Nintendo 64, boxed up, uh, goes on to sell for around about that $40 price point. But we've done a little bit better here with this one here. Super Mario 3 goes on to sell for around about that $50 odd dollar price point. So arguably there's about $90 worth of value in these two listings. I'll probably go 50 on this, 40 on this. Uh sell them individually uh for for $90 collectively. So, you know, buying it for 30, selling it for 90. It really does fit my metrics of the 3x rule. And I'm probably going to end up profiting around about $30 on those two when it goes on to sell. So, that wasn't too bad. But the real winner, the real winner was these Jurassic Park cards.
Now, the story behind these is I got a little bit curious when I was doing my research because I realized a complete series set was selling for quite a bit of money on eBay. But what got me most interested was these Prism cards. The Prism cards were selling individually.
This Tyrannosaurus Rex was selling individually for $50. And there were multiple $50 sale prices for just that individual card. So once I'd done my research, I then started to fan through the folder and I actually saw that we have a lot of prison cards that are the shiny ones. We actually have almost three complete sets. Three complete sets. So that got me very excited.
They're not totally complete. One of them is complete to a degree. I I'll let you know in just a second. But a very easy thing for me to work this out is I've got these checklist cards, right?
So I knew exactly how many cards were in the deck and then I knew how many prism cards, the rare cards, I needed as well for a complete set. Now I've got this entire binder and I have just finished fanning through all of these cards and I have 110 out of 110 cards three times. I have a complete base set times three.
Now, if I had all of the Prism cards, I need five. Okay. So, I'm looking through all of these. I'm like, do I have five?
Do I have five? Well, they are the five Prism cards right there for that first series set. So, it means I've got the full five Prism cards, but there's these other cards called popups. So, I need five Prism cards and I need five popup cards. I've only got two pop-up cards.
So, I'm basically three cards short, three pop-up cards from a complete series set in its entirety. I had a look on eBay to see what a complete Jurassic Park series set was, including prisms and including pop-ups. It went to sell for $475, guys. There was another one for about $300 odd dollars. And then there was a third complete series set with all of them for $275.
I could go ahead and sell the Tyrannosaurus Rex on his own for 50.
I've got three Tyrannosaurus Rexes. Uh, in my second set of prism cards, I have actually I've got two. Okay, so I've got this this sheet here. I've got all of the five prisms plus two popups. This one here, I have all five of the prism cards. And there's my two checklist cards there. So, that's another So, what I can do is I can basically sell a complete series set with all five prisms plus two pop-ups. probably list that for about $250. That's going to be my most expensive one because I'm missing the three pop-ups. The second one I can do with five Prism cards, no pop-ups, and I'll probably list that one up for about $200. And then this one here, I've only got three of the Prism cards. So that one I'm probably going to do for maybe $100. So 100, 200, and 250.
I've got $550 worth of Jurassic Park cards and I've paid $30. And I don't think that's being steep either. I always shoot for an accurate price and having done thorough research, the cards are in excellent condition. I just didn't realize when I was at the flea market that I had three well complete series base sets. Um, and I've got a ton of Prism cards as well. So, I'm not going to sell them individually. I'm going to do them in complete series sets with a couple of prisms and I'm going to shoot for a collective uh three listing value of $550. So what looked like a day where Matt didn't buy anything at the flea market and it was such a good flea market. Why didn't he buy anything?
Well, between 90 and $550, I have found exactly what I want. $640 worth of value and I've paid just $60 today at the flea market to get that value. Even better, this is only five listings for my eBay store to get that $660 odd dollars worth of listing value. So, I'm actually only listing up five products into my store, which will take no more than about 15 minutes, 20 minutes to list up. It's not going to take long. Uh, and that is going to be good to go. I'm going to leave you with this flea market video, which was another day where I bought a ton of stuff. So, we'll see you over there for that
