[music] [music] >> We had a survey made with around 10,000 people in Lithuania.
And we were asking them which is their favorite most traditional Lithuanian food. And the majority of them said it's pink cold pink soup. So, this is very special for us, obviously. And then the reason why we built the festival around it was because we just wanted to have a symbol of the city and a tradition and something special where all the people can gather and we can attract attention of the tourists also, you know.
>> [music] [cheering] >> The weird thing.
>> Stop. Nobody touch my soup.
>> Okay, and the second and the third and >> Got it.
>> Okay, so mine >> Every fifth of the participant is from other countries. So, we have around 17,000 people coming from abroad, you know, from UK, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Netherlands, USA also.
So, so yeah, this year we expect well over 1,100,000 people.
>> Uh well, it is very delicious. It is cold and it is very good for hot summer days. And I think it is just like our Lithuanian tradition because we Lithuanians think that this soup is our national dish.
>> The cold beetroot soup is is is a very refreshing soup. And it's really nice to have a festival around it.
Because it's it's something different.
It's not about drinking or loud music. It's about pink soup.
>> We have a lot of people here, a lot of activities.
Lot of pink color everywhere.
I love pink.
>> [laughter] >> And you see it.
So, it's amazing fest, yeah. I love it.
