Navigating Success of Seven-Figure in 10 Months

[00:00:00]I started a company and it grew into a seven-figure company in 10 months. A lot of times we think about the harm from scarcity of resources. I had so much cash coming at me so quickly that that created some risk and some things that I weren't prepared for. You mentioned working with CPAs. I had to go back and undo some of the things, right? I wasn't prepared to grow that quickly. Making sure that you have the infrastructure set up regardless of what stage the business is in because we really just don't know that business was extremely lucrative.

[00:00:33]I was able to successfully sell some of the assets a year ago. I decided to exit when I was announced as CEO to recommit my time here now as well as some things that I had going on with the family. It just made sense to exit. Exiting a seven-figure company >> That's not going to be the easiest.

[00:00:52]Sometimes those people working with you feel like you ain't supportive of what they're doing. And now this impacts everything else cuz they're thinking you're dissing them or where it's like, "I'm not dissing you. I'm trying to put you in the most winning position."

[00:01:03]And that may not necessarily be on the timetable of how you feel based on what you see as the successes that I've gained.

[00:01:11]>> Yeah. I think the biggest challenge, too, that some of our people in our culture have, and I was talking to my husband about this recently, is sometimes people want help but only want the help on their terms, right?
