Nissan launches Infiniti QX65, a luxury SUV, at its Tennessee plant

[00:00:13]We are going to be on two full shifts across both of our lines, which we produce the Pathfinder, Murano, the QX60, and now the QX65 on line one, and in line two, it's completely full of our Rogue production. And we are going to be able to produce every car that the customers demand.

[00:00:44]>> [applause] >> Right. So, tariffs have been a big shock to the automotive industry, and it is a fine balance between tariffs and affordability. Whenever it comes to the QX65 allocation to this plant specifically, it complements the production of that vehicle complements the QX60, the Pathfinder, and the Murano that are all built on line one, because what we call those are D platform SUVs, and they build very well together. So, Smyrna was the logical choice to build that vehicle.

[00:01:39]I mean, you saw the car, didn't you? I mean, it catches your eye. Especially that Sunfire Red paint, you look at it and you say, "Wow, that is brilliant."

[00:01:48]It has sleek lines. It has good technology in it, the autonomous drive, the big screens, the spacious cabin.

[00:01:58]Even though it kind of looks small from the outside, once you get in it, it has tons of space.

[00:02:14]Yes. I mean, obviously, our key message is quality, dependability, and reliability. Yes, a new vehicle is a major investment. Most of the time, the second biggest investment that any family makes. And whenever you buy into a new vehicle, you want to make sure that it's going to be there to serve you for a long time.
