[00:00:19]I went for a walk.

[00:00:20]You may hear some noise in the background.

[00:00:23]It looks like there's a wedding happening down the street. If that's what I think it is, the colors are bright.

[00:00:30]It looks festive.

[00:00:32]So, uh woof, here. Let me turn around.

[00:00:39]I think this is the main office for Foodpanda here.

[00:00:43]So, I think this is where they come in the morning.

[00:00:48]Yeah.

[00:00:51]It's going to be very loud for me, so I'm just going to stop talking for a little bit.

[00:01:58]And it could be here for a couple of days, so Yeah.

[00:02:04]I find it appropriate to show you that because I goofed.

[00:02:12]A comedy of errors with communication and stuff, but it's fine. Um so um a few weeks ago, Sreypov asked me to go to a wedding with her.

[00:02:24]And um she said it was going to be June 29th.

[00:02:28]And I said, "By all means." I was planning a trip to Vietnam, but I said that I'd come back in time to go to the to the wedding.

[00:02:36]And um so I had made my arrangements and plans accordingly.

[00:02:42]And uh turns out we had the month wrong. It was today. So, she is currently with her friends at the wedding. It's up uh north end of the city up by Angkor Wat.

[00:02:55]So, um I couldn't make it today. I class this morning, everything else, so unable to to do it. So, kind of was like a little disheartening cuz I wanted to to go and be a part of it, but next time, I guess.

[00:03:11]Um so, yeah.

[00:03:13]Just finished having a live stream and just taking a little bit of a walk.

[00:03:18]I'm going to uh Oh.

[00:03:22]Get a handle things.

[00:03:24]Um so, I've I'm I've I've mentioned before, I'm on my diet, right? So, it's uh it's going well. I've finally gotten a a handle on things.

[00:03:37]Um I'm doing an intermittent fast now.

[00:03:40]So, I'm trying to do uh 20 hours of no food and then 4 hours where I have a window of to be able to eat. I might change it to 6, depending on how my body feels.

[00:03:54]But, I've been able to handle 4 hours for the last couple of days. So, I don't know if that's just because it's new.

[00:04:01]But, uh yeah, I have an hour and a half left before I'm allowed to eat.

[00:04:09]So, I'm taking a walk.

[00:04:11]But, uh I have already seen a change in my system, my body in in a couple of days of doing this.

[00:04:20]But, the diet and everything else. So, uh reduced all bread, gone.

[00:04:26]Uh rice, for the most part, I eat just a little bit of it.

[00:04:31]Um hardly any, to be honest.

[00:04:35]Uh [gasps] lots of veg, lots of fruit, lots of meats.

[00:04:41]But, um you know, in in balance. The only um you know, carbohydrate thing that I'm I'm eating on a regular basis is oatmeal.

[00:04:54]And I'm making myself an overnight oatmeal.

[00:04:57]That's uh it's just bananas, oatmeal, milk, uh and cocoa powder. So, there's no sugars, nothing. It's just all that stuff.

[00:05:05]And that's my afternoon snack.

[00:05:08]So, I'll have my my breakfast which is our lunch.

[00:05:12]I'll have a snack.

[00:05:13]And then I'll have another meal right before. So, in that 4-hour window, I'm I'm having three little meals. And they're not massive.

[00:05:21]Um and then I'm rest of the day, it's uh water, uh black tea, black coffee, or sorry, green tea, black coffee. No sugar, no cream.

[00:05:34]So, it's interesting.

[00:05:40]But, yeah, um it's it's working.

[00:05:43]I'm also getting my my walks in all the time.

[00:05:46]Uh I'm trying to exercise as much as possible.

[00:05:50]Um, I'm enjoying it, you know.

[00:05:53]It for me it's fun to do something like this.

[00:05:57]And it's something I can balance.

[00:05:59]Um, when I was younger I never ate breakfast.

[00:06:05]So, I was doing this for years without knowing.

[00:06:10]Um, so I just want to get back into the swing of things.

[00:06:14]I think that's part of my problem is like when I moved over here I was eating breakfast because you know, it was so good.

[00:06:25]You know, but it was like pork rice or you know, soups and it was all this kind of stuff.

[00:06:29]And um, hello.

[00:06:33]Little one.

[00:06:35]So, I'm just trying to change it back and get back on my track on my plan.

[00:06:41]And uh, I'm still doing my walks.

[00:06:45]Trying to walk as much as I can.

[00:06:48]I bicycle things still.

[00:06:50]And uh, but I'm not doing as much walking as before. I just don't have the time.

[00:06:56]But I'm trying to fill in as much as I can.

[00:06:59]But, you know, working as much as I do.

[00:07:04]I I I still get in a fair amount, but to be honest, it's been the heat.

[00:07:09]The heat has been abysmal.

[00:07:12]Hello.

[00:07:15]Um, today is actually the first day this week that I've been out at this time of the day where I haven't been like sweating profusely.

[00:07:25]Um, so it feels good.

[00:07:28]Supposed to get a break in the weather tomorrow as well. So, today we're supposed to get rain tonight.

[00:07:32]We should break it and then um, hopefully over the next few days it stays cooler.

[00:07:43]Cuz it's been ooh.

[00:07:45]uncomfortable.

[00:07:48]So, there is another I want to come down here cuz I think this is remnants of a funeral I was here the other day.

[00:07:57]So, the white just to be able to show the contrast between the two.

[00:08:03]But, there's food is a huge part of all things here in Cambodia. So, it doesn't matter if it's a celebration of life or celebration of marriage.

[00:08:17]Food is part of And the sidewalks are kind of full of motorcycles, so not a big deal.

[00:08:28]Not a not a pain at all. I don't mind.

[00:08:31]Uh see if you can get across here.

[00:08:34]Just want to make sure I get out of the way.

[00:08:36]Um yeah.

[00:08:39]So, I'm just headed down towards the uh cinema.

[00:08:42]This I'm going to I'm thinking of grabbing a 11:00 movie.

[00:08:46]Just to do something.

[00:08:49]Um honestly, it's a way to distract myself to not go eat.

[00:08:55]Just it's what I do.

[00:08:58]Keep myself distracted. And now that I'm out and want to try to stay out today for a while.

[00:09:04]Cuz I spend a lot of time inside.

[00:09:06]But, if I can go and, you know, maybe see a movie or maybe go grab another coffee.

[00:09:13]And sit for a while and then go have something to eat, maybe.

[00:09:15]Don't know.

[00:09:17]It's up in the air.

[00:09:19]But, yeah. It's going. Oh, here. This is where I do my laundry. It's the wash and dry.

[00:09:26]And this is the the Siem Reap banh mi that's closed now.

[00:09:32]It uh they didn't make it.

[00:09:35]They uh Unfortunately, I loved it. That was a great little banh mi place.

[00:09:43]They had a really nice little sandwich.

[00:09:44]You can do get coffee and sandwich you're doing your laundry. I thought it was lovely.

[00:09:48]And it's sad that it's uh it didn't make it. So, hopefully, you know, something else will be able to get in there and make a go of it cuz I like the I like it there.

[00:10:00]But, there's another um laundromat opening up on Tapae Road near my in-laws, so I'll be probably going to that one.

[00:10:08]No, thank you.

[00:10:10]Yeah.

[00:10:12]Guys laying and napping in their tuk-tuks, and they think me walking down the street I am their target audience.

[00:10:19]Really?

[00:10:20]Yeah, so this is this is on the first Wonders.

[00:10:23]And it's a bathroom.

[00:10:26]Yeah, so Wonders is the hostel.

[00:10:30]Very popular, but you have Yeah, you can see what 50, 60 guys hanging in here.

[00:10:38]But, the other thing, too, is like you can get they can get the rides here, but they're also going to hang out here locally. And if they're doing like pass app or Grab, then they can pick up and they can go and grab, so I understand it. Nothing to just sit in here.

[00:10:54]But, they are.

[00:11:03]You They're You You guarantee It's like being at the airport where all the taxis hang out, you know?

[00:11:10]Oh, yeah, man.

[00:11:17]Yeah, I'm uh I think I'm going to buy a shirt today.

[00:11:21]I think I know where I want to go.

[00:11:23]But, uh Oh.

[00:11:28]I uh I I I've come to the conclusion that I just I need to get a couple of new things for myself.

[00:11:34]So, I'm going to I'm not filming it, so don't worry. I'm not taking you on that.

[00:11:38]I want to uh uh Just want to go shopping.

[00:11:44]Buy a couple things for myself.

[00:11:46]I don't uh I I I've been really good.

[00:11:50]Um because of the diet, I've been staying away from restaurants and you know, eating in and you know, taking care of myself.

[00:12:00]And uh Like my my extravagance is going out and buying a coffee for Sapol.

[00:12:07]Like I'll buy her coffee and I'll buy myself uh good Americano. Like a nice Americano. She get her the regular one.

[00:12:14]And uh So, she gets to have the treats and I get to uh just have my Americanos. So, but that's been my expenses for the last little while.

[00:12:25]But anyway, I'm going to uh pause, go do a little bit of shopping.

[00:12:30]I'll catch you guys up after the fact.

[00:12:32]You know, let's let you guys know how it turned out.

[00:12:35]If I bought anything, if I didn't.

[00:12:37]Stupid flies.

[00:12:39]Shopping is done. It didn't last long.

[00:12:41]It was quick. Uh I am here this little I I've shopped here a number of time. Uh pizza place is nearby.

[00:12:50]Yeah, this is going to Pub Street, right down that way. So, you're at the T intersection, you're right here.

[00:12:57]And uh I bought three shirts for 10 bucks. So, they are um the same kind Really? You're going to do this to me, are you?

[00:13:09]One second, let's do the face tracking.

[00:13:11]You're going to face track me now?

[00:13:14]There we go.

[00:13:15]It's the same kind as the fabric that I get for the uh the soccer jerseys or the football jerseys that I wear.

[00:13:21]Um and I love wearing them. They're great.

[00:13:24]Uh they wick away the sweat, so I'm I wanted to get more of that style.

[00:13:30]Uh, but without having to get another soccer jersey, cuz I have five.

[00:13:35]And they always want a little bit more for them, which is absolutely understandable. So, I grabbed um, three shirts for 10 bucks.

[00:13:42]And they're all like this type of fabric.

[00:13:49]So, they had 4XL, so.

[00:13:52]Ah, so I got three of those. I got two colors and one black, so.

[00:13:57]I like my black shirts. Can't help myself, so.

[00:14:00]I'm happy.

[00:14:01]Um, I've been going through my closet and um, I love my cotton shirts, but just they're so hot right now to wear. Like this shirt, like even now, uh, what are we? 10:30, 11:00 in the morning, and it's not that hot, but I'm sweating because cotton is not the most comfortable fabric in the world.

[00:14:25]And I'm walking across the street to try to find some shade.

[00:14:29]Wow, there's a lot of water coming out here.

[00:14:32]Oh, they're draining. Sorry. There's a pool they're they're doing maintenance on, so it's just the water just flowing.

[00:14:43]Ew, so, yeah.

[00:14:45]I like, "What the heck? Where's Where's the flood?"

[00:14:49]So, yeah.

[00:14:51]I'm just going to continue on my walk and try to get home and have lunch or whatever it is that I'm calling it today.

[00:14:59]Woo.

[00:15:01]It's a hot one.

[00:15:03]I was saying earlier that it was comfortable. I lied.

[00:15:09]I I I I I didn't intend to lie, but no, it actually just starting to feel warmer. I think we've had a lot of cloud cover today, so sometimes when the sun breaks through, it gets warm.

[00:15:20]But, uh, I think I'll go grab myself an iced coffee on the way home.

[00:15:24]I'll get another Americano.

[00:15:27]Spend a dollar.

[00:15:28]Go to the Shack.

[00:15:31]I enjoy their coffee quite a bit.

[00:15:34]And contemplate a movie or contemplate the walk home.

[00:15:38]If I have a movie, that's going to take me into 1:00, which makes it like a 19-hour fast. I don't know my body's going to be good with that.

[00:15:46]>> [laughter] >> I'm pushing it with the uh you know till noon. So, my thought is to uh I'll just get a water and then go home.

[00:15:59]Probably a good idea.

[00:16:01]But, I I honestly, the weird part of me is I wanted to show you guys what Pub Street's like during the day cuz everyone's always shows you at night time. So, yeah, here. Ready?

[00:16:10]This is uh this is Pub Street.

[00:16:15]They're doing a bunch of work, but some places are open.

[00:16:21]Some places are not.

[00:16:23]Like I don't think I ever remember seeing the Empire with the the blinds closed like that.

[00:16:37]Yeah, they're open here.

[00:16:38]But, uh a whole lot going on.

[00:16:43]Again, it's not even noon.

[00:16:52]Looks a little different, doesn't it?

[00:16:54]I always find it funny to be down here during the day.

[00:16:58]It's not like I'm watching through it.

[00:17:04]Yeah, a lot of Hello.

[00:17:06]No, I'm good, man. No.

[00:17:18]Yeah, it's a It's a little different at night.

[00:17:23]I kind of like it It's very a little different during the day than at night.

[00:17:33]Yeah, these places are certain set up for shops and stuff.

[00:17:44]Yeah, but this section is where you usually come and hang out. So, you know.

[00:17:48]This is the uh I don't think I've ever actually gone here during the day.

[00:18:07]It's so weird to think that it's just upheld downside.

[00:18:14]But, you know, they're doing the maintenance and getting things ready for the night. It's Friday, so, you know, it should be a little bit busier down here tonight.

[00:18:24]We'll get a little bit of customers.

[00:18:26]Yeah, Allen and Eugene were saying that here on the end they promote 50 cent beer.

[00:18:32]Which is Yeah, see the sign here.

[00:18:37]Local draft beer 50 cents. That deals with Allen get one free.

[00:18:41]Nice little spot. This used to be a club.

[00:18:44]But, not anymore.

[00:18:47]They got a nice little menu, too. $4 for pizza.

[00:18:50]It's not bad.

[00:18:52]And then upstairs you have AC and the beer 75 cents upstairs with AC.

[00:18:56]So, can't beat that.

[00:18:58]Can't fault them.

[00:19:00]Paying 25 cents for air conditioning.

[00:19:02]I'm okay with that.

[00:19:06]Oh, man.

[00:19:10]I feel like a tourist today, which is really weird.

[00:19:13]Cuz I bought t-shirts, you know. Like, oh.

[00:19:17]And there also the tourists around, so.

[00:19:20]But yeah, anyway, I'm going to finish up.

[00:19:24]Enjoy the rest of my walk. Apparently, I walked past the coffee. I'm not getting it, so I'm not going to backtrack now.

[00:19:31]I guess it's time to go home. I'll grab a water if I need one.

[00:19:35]But yeah, I'm starting to feel peckish, so maybe it's time to get a little bit of By the time I get home, it should be almost time to eat. So, anyway.
