The Year-Round Pell Grant program allows eligible college students to receive up to 150% of their annual Pell Grant award, enabling them to take summer or winter classes and earn additional credits toward graduation; this additional funding is based on the number of credits taken rather than enrollment status, though it still counts toward the student's lifetime Pell Grant limit.

What is Year-Round Pell Grant?Added:
Most students don't know this, but your Pell Grant might cover summer classes, too. With Year-Round Pell, eligible students can receive up to 150% of their Pell Grant in one academic year. So, if you already use your Pell Grant during fall and spring, you could still qualify for extra money for summer or winter classes. For example, if your annual Pell Grant is $7,395, you could get up to an extra $3,697 for additional terms. And here's the best part, you don't even need to be half-time anymore to [cheering and screaming] qualify. Your aid is based on the number of credits you take. But remember, any extra Pell money still counts towards your lifetime Pell limit. So, before you skip summer classes because of cost, talk to your financial aid office and ask about Year-Round Pell.
