Roth IRA conversion involves transferring funds from a pre-tax traditional IRA to a Roth IRA, where the converted amount is taxed immediately but future withdrawals are tax-free, making it a strategic financial planning tool that can help individuals avoid higher tax brackets when combining withdrawals with Social Security benefits in retirement.

He Tipped Me $18 for FRIED CHICKEN?! (Las Vegas Delivery Wins)Added:
Everybody, it's Vegas Ride Along.
Today's Saturday. It's 11:38 a.m. I got an offer from DoorDash to go to Bonds and shop for six items and then go to Little Caesars and then drop off to two different customers. I'm going to be getting paid $16.60 for 4.9 miles.
The goal today is to make $20 and I'm also going to be making $20 tomorrow, same goal.
To make somewhere between $40 and $50 is my absolute maximum I'm I want to make this weekend.
I've changed my strategy starting this weekend and it's probably just going to keep on staying this way where I'm going to work for just a little bit on Saturday and a little bit on Sunday and that's all. I'm really trying to focus my attention on doing Roth conversions.
Roth conversions are when you're taking money from your pre-tax IRA account and you're converting it over to your Roth IRA and the Roth IRA is tax-free.
And I think the the the motivation to do it is that you're paying taxes now on your investments.
And then those investments are transferred over to your Roth account and then they they sit there and grow.
And let's say 10 or 15 years from now even though the investment grew, let's say it grew it doubled in value for just for example. I when I when I'm ready to withdraw that investment, I don't pay any taxes on it. Where if I would have taken it out without doing the conversion from my traditional IRA, I would have had to have paid income tax on the um investment. One of the benefits of doing it, the other benefit is once I am collecting social security, it's going to push me into a higher income tax bracket.
So, if I were not to have done the conversion, it would have been taxed at a much higher um income tax bracket when you combine that withdrawal with social security.
Looks like I'm just shopping for some fried chicken and some Angus brisket chuck and short rib beef patties.
And the Little Caesars is in this same shopping complex, so I should be okay.
The 12-piece fried chicken meal isn't going to be ready for 20 minutes, so I'm just going to start getting the other items and then come back and hope it's going to be ready.
So far I'm two for two for substitutes.
I haven't found anything the customer wants.
Finally found something they wanted.
All right, this is the last item and I'm gambling that this item is a good substitute. I just I forced it into the app for it to be accepted. I hope it's the right uh reasonable price.
Well, I'm back at where the chicken is and of course there's a super long line, so this one is turning out to be much more difficult than I was expecting.
I thought for sure that I was going to get declined at the checkout with so many substitutions that were borderline um trouble.
I couldn't believe how many things went wrong for such a small order, just six items.
And every Almost every single item, 80% of the items gave me grief.
All right, I just got to put this in the pizza bag and I'll be good to go.
No problems picking up the Little Caesars. At least there was something easy there.
Now I'm going to be traveling 4 minutes, 1.5 miles. I'm going to be going to a house. It's going to be a leave at the door.
I can't believe this is my only job so far of the day and I'm already frazzled.
Thank you.
All right, that's all done. And the next one is just a quarter of a mile from here to drop off these groceries at the house. Leave it at the door. No need to ring the bell. There is a red table by the door you can leave it on. Thank you.
All right, Vons order. I'm so happy we're here and you're going to be out of my car.
This fried chicken here took so long.
The line, the wait for them to cook it.
>> Thank you.
All right, that is done.
Let's move on to the next one. Okay, I got the next one from DoorDash. We're going to be going to Slim Chickens. I'm going to be getting $6 for 2.3 miles.
And then I hit the goal.
Been trying to stay hydrated, so I had one of those liquid IV drinks this morning, and I've been guzzling lots and lots of water.
And of course, now that I've done that, I constantly have to go to the bathroom.
So, um I'm just glad this is the last one because um for I mean for obvious reasons.
It sure would be nice if they had a public restroom in Slim Chickens. I mean, it sounds like a place that could have one, doesn't it?
I lucked out, they had a restroom.
When I walked inside the restaurant, the the order was already to go, and there was a employee standing right by the food ready to hand it to me.
And I said, "Oh, can I just use your restroom here before I pick up?" He said, "Yeah, no problem."
So, I got that all taken care of. Now, we're going to be going 5 minutes, 1.4 miles to an apartment. It's going to be a leave at the door.
Do not ring bell or knocks. Thanks.
I noticed since I'm not driving as often that my driving skills I have already declined. I've already gotten into like a couple of close calls where I was trying to make left turns into oncoming traffic and I didn't judge it quite right. Wasn't like a serious close call or anything. I It's just I'm just noticing that if I drive every single day, I'm real sharp when it comes to making judgment calls.
Oh, they didn't drop their pin right.
Thank you.
Looks like the customer from bonds like that I was able to get substitutes and the chicken that they wanted and they were so grateful they up the tip and now I'm way far above the goal of what I wanted which means I have to work less tomorrow. Now I'm at like $32 and my ceiling was supposed to be 25.
Oh well, it's just the way it goes.
