Early business experiences often involve learning through trial and error, where initial low-profit jobs help build skills and reputation before achieving sustainable income; the speaker learned that small, poorly-paying jobs (like the $80 lawn cut) were not worth the effort when equipment limitations and low compensation made them unprofitable, demonstrating the importance of evaluating job viability and business sustainability.

All right, this a old video uh of a This right here was straight dummy activity. Um this was around the time I can't remember Yeah, that's Yeah, that's perfect. Y'all see that sticker on the side of my truck? I remember when I first put them stickers on my truck, I had a guy reach out to me.
Uh he was moving out of his house and needed his property cut um so he can get his money back from the landlord. I'm going to see if I can find that video. Anyway, this video right here, my truck was sitting in the in my driveway maybe two blocks over, and the guy was a real estate guy. I think he had a showing on the property or he was fixing to sell the property. I can't remember.
Um and I think he was about to sell it and he wanted the people to come home to a nice friend I can't remember, but anyway, he got my number off of my truck.
My dumb behind went over there and cut that property. This was on like a Saturday evening. And when he called, I loaded up and went. Actually, the people that was living next door was having a barbecue. And matter of fact, I believe I was single at this time. Yeah, I was a single man cuz I remember that lady on that other side of the house right there that was having a barbecue. I was like, man, she looked good.
Well, anyway, as y'all can see, I think this whole job I only made probably 80 flipping dollars. Wasn't even worth it.
Number one, I couldn't even fit the mower in the back gate. Had to push mower to backyard with that piece of trash self-propelled Toro mower.
Um I I I didn't I didn't I think if I even made $80. I can't even remember it. Again, I was a single man at the time. So at that time, it wasn't the money wasn't important.
I was trying to be a lawn YouTube creator like the other guys.
And I think I I think I I think I had just really wanted to produce some content, so I didn't really charge much.
But that lemon that lemon right there wasn't worth the squeeze. And if somebody called me to do that today, well number one, I'm a mower won't fit in the gate. And I didn't even record when I cut behind that gate. That junk behind that gate was extremely hot.
And it is a bunch of bull crap, man. I gave that man my phone number, a couple of business cards. Yo, man, if you need me, if you selling a house, if you got an open house, just give me a call. Cheap, reliable lawn services, always here to get the stuff you need done.
And I think it wasn't long that I had that sit-down mower. That's when I had round the time I first bought that sit-down mower. And again, y'all remember I told y'all I took out two loans to buy that sit-down mower. I don't know why they concreted all this around the house.
Looking back, it Yeah, they got a piece of trash time master, whatever you call it. I had to But look, I didn't I ain't really make no money off that job. Then my dumb behind spraying, too.
My dumb behind spraying. The straps on that piece of trash Harbor Freight sprayer used to cut into my shoulder.
As a matter of fact, y'all, the other mower that's sitting on that trailer ain't even working. I just
