[00:00:12]MIT has demonstrated a technology that turns a voice command into a real object. Let's go and be sure to subscribe. Even more incredible technologies are ahead. MIT scientists have introduced a system that allows you to create a physical object simply by saying what you need.

[00:00:28]The voice is converted into [music] text. A generative AI builds a 3D model.

[00:00:32]Algorithms check it for strength and physical realism and a robotic arm assembles the object from modular cubes in just minutes. Unlike 3D printing where you have to wait for hours for a model, new objects, furniture, chairs, shelves and even small tables are created almost instantly. The cubes [music] are reusable. You can disassemble the structure and build something else. The system analyzes the number of parts, the center of gravity and the absence of overhanging elements and only then does it begin assembly.

[00:01:00]The developers themselves plan to switch from magnetic fastenings to more durable ones [music] so they can build in a larger form factor. The project was presented at ACM SCF I 25 at MIT and essentially makes design accessible to everyone, even to those who have never worked with 3D modeling or robotics.
