Peptides are short chains of amino acids with legitimate medical applications including tissue repair, hair regrowth, and body composition improvement, but should only be considered under medical supervision after establishing natural fitness foundations like proper nutrition, sleep, and exercise; for most individuals, natural methods are sufficient for building muscle and losing fat, while peptides may be necessary for those with significant obesity or specific medical conditions.

My thoughts on peptides...Ajouté :
I'm not going to lie. I came into this video today fully prepared to bash peptides and just be like, "Dude, they're injectables. They're steroids.
They're all injectables. They're all steroids. They're bad for you. Be all natural." Blah blah blah. But I will admit, after doing a little bit of research, um, I think I've I think I have a different opinion. So, today, what I want to do is share my opinion of peptides because they are such a popular topic in fitness right now. I also feel like most of my viewers are men from the age of 25 to 45. So I'm 37. I feel like this is a really topical thing right now. And I also want to say this is I'm just I'm a jump rope dude, okay? I'm not a doctor. I'm going to give my take on it, but I'm not going to give you a recommendation. I'm not going to tell you which ones you should or shouldn't take. Um I'm just as a fitness person in this space in YouTube um that helps people lose weight. We're just going to have some fun and I'm going to give you my take. Uh, so first of all, what even are peptides? I'm so glad that I looked this up because I think when you hear a buzzword like peptide, all I knew was like all I see is like hubman and I I immediately kind of thought to myself, this is exactly like TRT, which TRT is testosterone, which that's kind of like steroids. And I just lump anything like steroids as, dude, just don't do it. like it's it's not worth it's not worth the risks um just to have a little bit more extra muscle.
And everything I stand for on this channel is like do as much as you can naturally. All the things you need to have a healthy muscular low body fat physique are already available in this world. So do it naturally. Um, however, after doing a little bit of research, I was kind of I kind of feel now like, oh, now that I understand these substances more, um, I actually totally see why people take these. Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the fundamental building blocks of proteins. So, peptides are not just you shouldn't just think about them for uh building muscle and losing fat. Although, that's mostly what I'm kind of talking about in this video, but just in general, peptides can be used uh to grow hair back, to repair tissue, to grow muscle and lose body fat, things like that. Like, think about medicine, dude. I'm not going to I'm not going to sit here and just be like, "No, peptides have no benefits." And we even even steroids like even the word steroid is this negative word but there's so many let's just talk about substances like people used to die from things like polio or getting the flu and obviously modern medicine uh helped develop these new drugs. So I do feel like medicine and research labs and like places like John's Hopkins like they are super important for the longevity of humanity.
We've obviously made huge advancements in people being able to live a longer and healthier life through medicine. So, I kind of view peptides and the research being done as similar. Like, if there is actual benefits and there's not side effects, then maybe this will improve the overall human experience, help people live healthier and longer lives, which I am always about. So, instead of just looking at the word and being like, "No, this is negative." um modern medicine I do I am someone who believes that we need modern medicine to continually evolve and get better.
Therefore, what I would recommend in terms of peptides is I think they're okay if you go to a medical like physician and say this is what I'm dealing with. Can you help me? you know, can we come up with some type can we come up with some type of peptide stack that through your research you found has the least amount of side effects and is something I actually need. The the thing that I want to make clear on this video that I'm not a fan of is that I believe that most of the ability to build muscle and lose fat, you don't need anything for it. You don't need supplements. You don't need fancy equipment. Like that's what I say on this channel all the time. If you just did a bunch of push-ups and walking and ate fruit and protein, you'd have an amazing body. So, I am a huge proponent of like do it all naturally because anytime that you try to cheat, I just firmly believe this universal rule of like yeah, you can take steroids and get massive, but you're going to pay for that. Like you everything, every decision that you make has consequences.
So, when it comes to fitness and health, my philosophy is like gain as much muscle as possible. Look as sexy as possible. Feel as awesome as you can by doing regular things that are already available to you. Like making sure you sleep enough, drinking water, eating real food, exercising by doing some cardio and some resistance training.
Like there's a lot I feel like you should already have down first before we start talking about peptides. The issue with a lot of these conversations is that you have guys um you know a lot of like dudes like me who want to gain a lot of muscle and lose body fat, but they still you know want to party or they're working a ton and they're not sleeping well and so they're using things like peptides to gain a bunch of muscle mass um to make up for what they're lacking in other natural areas of their life. And that is where I'm like dude you're going to pay for that later in your life. the area that I could see this being beneficial. And I I want to say I don't plan on taking peptides, I'm going to try to go as long as I humanly can uh just natural, like not even taking supplements, although I take a little bit occasionally whey protein, but not very maybe like once a month. So my point is I am going to try to be as man of a man as I can be doing natural things until the day comes that I'm like okay like now I I really notice it affecting my sex drive. I really notice it affecting me being able to stay low body fat. I really u notice it affecting my energy levels. Once that day comes, then I will start thinking about like like if I'm 48 or 50 50some and I'm like, you know what, I have heard about this peptide that helps to lose body fat, increase energy, uh build muscle, I might actually visit that at that point. But the point I'm trying to make here is that I think peptides can be good, but you should already have all these other natural routines and habits in place because those are really what is going to make the difference in your life. Not not some shortcut that you inject into yourself expecting it to just work.
Another thing I want to say too is that I personally find like GLP1s and OM ompic absolutely necessary for people like dude it's easy for me to sit here and be like hey man you shouldn't you shouldn't take any ompic or or peptides because because I lost 70 lbs uh jumping rope and dude I was I wasn't even that obese like I I if you've watched the channel you know this I was already like a football player I was exercising all the time I was just eating a ton. to gain a bunch of weight. Now, I did lose 70 lbs. That is real. But I'm just saying it was pretty easy for me to do.
And I was never someone who was actually like, "Okay, I'm obese.
I have a super high body fat percentage and I'm suffering from diabetes." Like, there are certain things where I feel like if you are 350 lbs overweight, jumping rope and eating fruit is not going to get you there. you have to take something like Ozmpic or another GLP1 in order to start you down the right process for losing weight and then you can start like walking and correcting your eating habits. But I think for people who are massively obese, you do need something to start that process.
It's not just going to be like, oh yeah, I ate in a calorie deficit for a couple weeks and I lost a bunch of weight. So, just let me also acknowledge uh as much as I am a proponent of like, hey, do it all naturally, I understand there are some people in some situations that are not going to be able to do that. But for the crew that I'm mostly speaking to, 25 to 45year-old males, I feel like a lot of you are, if you're overweight, you're just a little bit overweight, maybe. And I and by little, I mean you could be 50 lbs overweight, but like underneath that 50 lbs, you have a pretty sexy body. And I feel like you should be working more towards creating a calorie deficit and doing other natural things before introducing peptides. But again, I want to say I expected to come on here and be like, "No one should be taking peptides.
They're and it's just another way of society trying to, you know, like all these people doing looks maxing."
I'm just at the end of the day what I believe is that trying to cheat the system in any way re res results in a karmic effect like if you try to take steroids to look massive you're going to have health issues later in your life like I don't and I don't wish anything bad on anyone but like if you're someone like the rock who in my opinion has been taking steroids but claims he doesn't it's like he took these steroids to have this phys physique to make all of this money and I heaven forbid I hope nothing healthwise happens to him but like you take all these steroids to make yourself really big so you can play a bunch of movie roles and earn all this money and then it's like dude later in your life 60s your 70s like how are you going to be then my my point is I think a lot of people suffer older in their life because of trying to because of vanity and money earlier on in life so yeah that's my take on peptides actually now that I've started to learn more about them. I think that for normal young men, I don't really think you need to be focused on that right now. I'd be focused on the things I talk about all the time, which is just eating more real natural foods. Steak, chicken, fruits, vegetables, sweet potatoes, nuts. um trying to really focus your brain on controlling your appetite and recognizing when you do things like bored eating and you gain weight just because you're eating and not really paying attention. I'd focus on trying to get your mind to a place where you can exercise consistently. Reduce your own stress by being able to sleep more or meditate or get into the present moment by walking or whatever it is. um and making sure that your calories are on point and you're not overeating. Once you have all that in place, I do believe there is places for things like peptides in sports within athletes. I think uh I honestly think it's a pretty exciting time. I I'm always a fan, like I said, of new medical discoveries. The thing that I'm not a fan of, though, is when people look at things as quickcuts to give them X result. Like the world works the same way it's been forever.
All these things that we need to live a healthy life are already here on Earth.
And if you start messing with that, you start messing with biology, you start injecting stuff that's not regulated into yourself, it's a slippery slope. I don't I I think you're going to pay for that in the future. So, I'm always going to come on here and say like, dude, take the healthier. Yes, it might be the more boring. You might not be as ripped.
might not have as much muscle, but I I personally feel like you can still get ripped and look sexy naked um just completely naturally. Those are my thoughts on peptides. Would be curious to hear what you guys are if you're even looking into this, if you're researching it um and just what your thoughts are on this subject. But yeah, appreciate you guys tuning in. That is the video for today. Don't forget if you need a jump rope for weight loss, crossroppe.com/jard to get my jump rope and my mat.
