May correctly identifies that global stability is the bedrock of everyday affordability, showing how energy shocks can quickly turn distant wars into local bankruptcies. Itโs a stark reminder that our modern lifestyle is far more fragile than we care to admit.

Hey, welcome to the Dre way. I'm glad you're here. I'm Drayton May and I am your host and yes, we have a lot to talk about today. So you I'm really glad you're here. Don't forget to hit the subscribe button. I'm trying to raise that number up and I need your help. So if you hit the subscribe button, it'll really help me out because on this show you need to know that you're going to get the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help me. So let's get started. Let's go.
>> [music] >> OKAY, LET'S LET'S talk about let's talk about where we're at.
Um and we need to talk about where we're at because like I've discussed for the last few days, um we are in real trouble with gasoline, with diesel, with jet fuel.
Um it it it's real popular right now to go to the United States and say, "Hey, can we have these and ship them abroad?"
But we're going to need that stuff here in the United States. We're going to need jet fuel. We're going to need diesel. We're We're going to need these things. And how much we can sell and how much we need to keep here uh is of major concern because you have to remember companies don't owe us anything.
Uh companies in the United States are in business to make money. They're in business to make money and if they can sell the product for a higher price to those in Europe, they will. Make no mistake about it. Um they will sell to the highest uh bidder and make the most money possible. But let's talk about where we're at right now because we're getting to the point of no return. We're get We're at $4.30 for gas. We have about a 70 cent gap because once we go over $5, yeah, that's the point at which on national average for gas. I'm talking national average.
Once we start going over $5, it's just not sustainable for very long. And economies actually start to break down.
Restaurants start to close. I mean, it it it will be extremely difficult for the economy to do anything but drop quickly.
So but and and that's where we are just with what Donald Trump is talking about because today he said something flippant and said, you know, "Ah, I'm surprised oil isn't $200 a barrel."
Uh $200 a barrel, Mr. President? That's an economic breakdown around the world.
Uh $150 oil is going to the United States. $200 oil cripples the entire world. Uh you're talking about literally massive recessions around the world.
And and the thing I want us to focus on and the things I want us to remember is this. And I have to keep repeating it cuz I want you to remember this for the rest of your life.
This is one man that did this. One man with the assistance of Netanyahu. But this is all on Donald Trump. The whole thing is on Donald Trump. This was unnecessary. This did not have to happen. It didn't have to be this way.
And and we can't ever forget that again.
I said it last show, I said it last week, and I'm going to keep repeating myself because it needs to be implanted in people's heads. When you put a Republican in the White House, you are looking at disaster. It's going to be like this ti- this like now disaster. It was a disaster last time. The Republican before that was a dis- disaster, the one before that, the one before that.
They are disasters.
And for all of you people that live in little towns, little places out in the middle of nowhere, Republicans don't do anything for you. Starting tomorrow, there there is a lot of cuts a a lot of cuts to EBT. There's going to be a lot. There's going to be millions of people that are going to be a lot more hungry starting tomorrow.
Because a lot of people are about to lose benefits.
And not only benefits, but what about Medicare and Medicaid? These cuts are going to start hitting big time.
And I want you to know the majority of the cuts hit after the midterms. And the Republicans did that on purpose because they want to blame Democrats cuz they know Democrats are going to take over the take over the the house. They know that.
So Trump does the exact same thing. He did it last time with the deal for oil.
He did the exact same thing knowing he was going to get booted and he wanted to the next president. That's why I love it when they sit there and go, "Well, Biden had high gas prices." No, that had nothing to do with Biden. It was partly because of Trump's deal.
And you don't have to believe what I'm saying, you can look it up. Yeah, chat GPT will tell you that he was part of the problem. Of course, the war with Ukraine and Russia didn't help anything.
That certainly didn't help anything. But the but ah think about this, folks. Really think about this.
Where are we right now? Where are we with Iran? Cuz we are nowhere. We're nowhere with Iran. You Do you want Trump to start bombing again? What is that going to achieve? What is bombing Iran?
You think Iran's going to go, "Oh, okay.
Well, uh since you have those bo- No.
Iran is going to start shooting off their missiles. And people are going to die. Infrastructure is going to get hit.
And it makes it more difficult on people around the world.
That's what we're looking at.
And and and it's a very big possibility because now China is telling, "Hey, hey, if you're in a if you're in Iran, get out or get someplace safe."
Why would China be saying that if they didn't know something?
So, do I believe Donald Trump is stupid enough to start the the the bombing again? Oh, absolutely he's dumb enough.
But just understand it doesn't get us anywhere.
And it doesn't really matter what he does.
The minute he attacked Iran, the minute he ripped up Obama's deal, he's never going to get that good a deal again.
He's ne- I mean, the Strait of Hormuz may be changed forever.
And that's because of one dumb man, one idiot that had no government experience, has no idea about how important things are in the world, and he's ch- he changed the world for the worst. And he's going to keep doing it because he's an idiot.
And we put an idiot in the White House.
And and the damage that's going to be done for years and years and years, we'll be feeling it.
Let me know what you think in the comments. Don't go anywhere. Part two to the Dre way is coming up next. Um if you go back on my shows, you will see that at the beginning of the year I said over 20,000 restaurants would close this year. And I'm going to be right on that.
Uh restaurants are closing all over. And probably rightfully so. And I say rightfully so because going out to eat has completely changed. Uh going out to eat now is uh basically uh enjoying uh frozen Sysco food.
Because most restaurants that are open now serve frozen Sysco food. From the gravies to the desserts to you name it.
Sysco food. Sysco Foods is probably providing the food. And it doesn't matter which restaurant. It doesn't matter how fancy the restaurant. A lot of these restaurants are using frozen Sysco Foods. And you think you're getting these fresh dumplings that no. No. You're getting frozen food from Sysco. So my question to you is, how many people want to go out and have $200 dinner on frozen Sysco food?
Yeah, not me either.
I don't want to. I'm raising my hand cuz I don't want to.
But yeah, um fast food joints, pizza joints are closing.
People don't want to eat out because there's no value. There is no value in going out to eat. There's no value in drinking a $28 drink. I mean, yeah, she has a glass of wine for $22, you have a drink for $28.
Two drinks, you just spent $50.
And you're thinking to yourself, this there's just there's just no value in this.
Because if you have a couple of drinks, there's $100 plus your your food, now you're at 250 plus tip, and now you're at $300 with the tip. $300 for two of you to go out to dinner? Who wants to do that? Who wants to sign up for that?
I don't know many people that have interest in that. So, the value in going out to eat is gone. The value and and and like I said, even if you go to one of these discount places, you're just eating frozen Sysco food. A- and I I Wh- When I go out to eat, I want to th- I want to believe that I'm going to a restaurant that is hand making and making things fresh and making the you know, I I don't want just store bought, you know, frozen stuff thrown on a plate.
It's not worth the money to me. And that's why more and more people are choosing to eat at home.
Cuz there's just no It's just no value in eating out anymore. But, let me know what you think. I really want to know what you think. Are you eating out anymore? And if you are, why?
Because like I said, in most cases you're just eating frozen Cisco food.
And uh I think that's disgusting.
Just my opinion. I think that's disgusting. But, let me know what you think in the comments, and don't go anywhere. Part three to the Dre Way coming up next.
Some of you have asked, "What if he does attack? What happens if he does?"
Well, what happens is um Iran will attack uh knowing Trump, he'll probably go after some infrastructure. If he goes after infrastructure in Iran, Iran will go after infrastructure in some of these Middle Eastern countries.
And that could that could cause more disruption in oil delivery. And if it does that, we could be in big big trouble.
And when I say big big trouble, $150, $200 oil could be real.
And that's what happens if there is if he goes back to bombing Iran.
And right now, I I can see Donald Trump doesn't see that he has any other choice.
I I can see he's not smart enough to figure out how to back out of this gracefully.
Uh so, he's going to try to hit with a hammer.
And the problem is when you hit with a hammer, a lot of times you don't hit exactly, and you can make more of a mess than you can uh striking what you wanted to strike.
Sometimes you miss. Sometimes the hammer does more damage than you thought. And uh in this case, using a hammer may not be the right recipe at all.
This is one time when you need a uh diplomacy, you need an expert, and you need allies.
You need someone else to be able to come in and and go, "Look, you know, the United States wants this, we want this, you know." But, he's all on his own.
He's all on his own because he didn't bring the allies in. And the allies, frankly, don't like him.
Uh they don't like Donald Trump because Donald Trump is a bit of an egomaniac.
And he's pissed off the rest of the world.
So, instead of helping Donald, they're trying to say, "Okay, Donald, you made this mess.
You did this. Now, go ahead and fix it.
Go ahead and show us how wonderful you are. Show us how smart you are. You don't need France. You don't need Germany. You don't need England. You can do all this by yourself, right, Donald?
Yeah.
We're looking at a mess.
And and Donald Trump is going to, in all likelihood, try to hit with a hammer.
And when he tries to hit with a hammer, he is going to cause such damage to the world that it scares me.
It scare $150, $200 oil should scare us all.
It really really should.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
What do you think the odds are he starts attacking again? It It could be tonight.
It could be tomorrow.
You know?
Yeah, it could be that soon. He could make the mistake that quickly.
Let me know what you think in the comments, and thanks for stopping by the Dre Way. Don't forget, the Dre Way is on each and every day.
Come back and see me. We're going to be talking about just about everything, including about the elections, which we are going to win. It's going to be a blue wave, everybody. It's going to be a blue wave, and I can't wait to share it with you. I absolutely cannot wait to share the blue wave with you. So, hit the subscribe button, and I will see you next time right here on the Dre Way. Have a good day, everybody.
