A Sci-Fi Masterpiece? Or Pure Nonsense? (Or Both)

[00:00:00]So, I recently read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And this book is a testament to the power of voice.

[00:00:08]It wasn't really my cup of tea. I would say it's safe to say there's almost no plot. It's It's like it just kind of happens. And from a narrative sense, as a writer, I'm like reading it and I'm expecting some certain things to happen at certain times. They don't. And then things do happen when I'm not expecting.

[00:00:23]Things are just happening. And it's still pretty fun. It's a quick ride, but the writer's voice, it's awesome. It's hilarious.

[00:00:30]It's zany, I guess would be the word cuz it was written in like the '70s or something or the '60s or something. And it's intriguing in that sense and it's interesting in that sense and that carried me through the whole book. And um if you know anything about me, you know that I have a rule to DNF books if I don't like them. So, it held my attention pretty well. I really struggled not having a plot.

[00:00:50]It's worth a read if for nothing else for studying the power of the voice of the author.

[00:00:59]Because again, just the voice carried me through this entire insane thing with no plot.
