Vehicle lease deals are not standardized across dealerships and can be negotiated, even when dealerships claim they are fixed. Consumers can save significant money by negotiating lower monthly payments and higher down payments, potentially saving $2,200-$2,500 (11% of lease cost) on a three-year lease. The key strategy is to offer a higher down payment in exchange for a lower monthly payment, creating a win-win situation where the dealership gains a customer while the consumer saves money.

Ford F150 Lease Deals! and How to Get A Better Lower Lease Price?Added:
All right. Hey guys, Jason here. We're up here at JC Lewis Ford in Statesboro, Georgia, and we are going to be talking about lease deals and some incentives that Ford has going on. Now, everybody knows that they brought employee pricing back for those people that don't know how to deal or don't want to deal with dealing or they don't want anything like that or just acceptable to just get a little bit off. Uh employee pricing is not a bad thing. It it does a good job.
Can you do better? Yes. Uh can you do better when employee pricing is not in order? Yes. Employee pricing brings people into the doors. More people come in the doors, the less willing that the manu or the dealer is to deal compared to when it's slow times. So, it's good for Ford, good for people that want to buy without having to work very hard and but yet bad for us that actually want to try to get the better deals. However, Ford just announced May lease deals on the F-150s, not the King Ranch. They did it on the XLT and the STX, which we have right here. But the downside is the uh sun is going to come right over top right over there and pop out any minute.
So, we are gonna that's gonna kind of be an issue for us. But we can stand right here. But this is an XLT version right here. Beautiful truck. And then they also have it on the STX model. What are we coming in at? See if it's worth it.
STX crew cab 4x4 with the 2.7 in a 200A package. Beautiful truck. Everything we need. Probably got one here. Let's see.
I bet an STX here. I think I seen a blue one. Is that a XXLT, right? That's XLT.
And uh here's an STX in white, right?
Yep. Here's an STX 200A probably right here. Let me put you again. That sun's going to be better from this side. So that right there, this truck right here would be this truck. STX version.
Beautiful setup. So where are we coming in at for this bad boy? So, 27 L in this thing uh uh V6 turbo. Love it. And uh so they are asking they are at $379 a month. 379 a month on a 36-month lease.
They want $5,439 down is what this is. So like, okay, so I put $5,500 down. I pay 400 bucks a month basically. Again, that's probably very low mile lease for a 36-month lease. Some of you might find that acceptable. Let's took a look at the numbers. Then we'll talk about how you can do better even still leasing. Okay?
Don't think you can't lease this better than what they say you can. We'll cover that. But that puts you at this one if you took it for that for $379 for 36 months. 5439 do its signing puts you at $19,083 over 3 years for this lease. Is that a good deal? Realistically, no, it's not.
You could definitely buy this truck which you could get for 50,000 bucks under. or you get STX, probably get it for like mid-40s, $45, $46,000 and you could drive it for 3 years and sell it and maybe only lose 10 grand, not lose 20 grand, saving yourself $10,000 and you could put more miles on it. So, leasing this lease steel, not very good. Now, with the XLT version, if we walk over here, let's go back to where we had that XLT uh where we at that black one was sharp. Let's go back over there and we're going to talk about it because they have uh an XLT lease deal. So, right here we got an XLT just like this. Now, this would be a 302A package for the XLT uh crew cab just like you're seeing. Also, a 2.7 L engine in it. So, we're sticking with the 27s for these for the leases um crew cab four-wheel drive 27, you're looking at 509 for 36 months, but rather than 5439 down as we saw with the STX, this one you're 3529 down. So, less money down, more money a month. 509 a month for 36 months. 3529 do it signing for a total $21,853.
So $22,000.
Again, this particular one sticker price $66,500.
I'm pretty sure you could buy this for in the mid50s and then you could turn around and sell it and maybe only lose 10 grand after you drove it for three years. I don't think you'd lose any more and you could save yourself, you know, 12 $12,000 of that loss in that lease deal. So, this XLT lease deal even worse. Okay, in my opinion. Now, with that said, um retail pricing because we will I will again I'm going to teach you in a second how to get a better lease deal than this. You don't have to tolerate that. But finish the list out retail on these.
4.9 for 60 months is what you can get.
4.9 for 60 months is the best they're offering. That is disgusting. Now, why are they only offering 4.9 for 60 months? Cuz they're doing employee pricing. Okay? Ford is notoriously one or the other. You either get the 0% for 60 months or 0% for 72 and you pay full MSRP or you get the 5 grand discount or 5% discount like a plan and then you are going to uh then they'll give you the deal. But you you uh get it at full MSRP or you can get it at 5 grand off and you can pay the uh the 5%. That's how Ford always plays these games. Ford is notorious for but that's where they're at. 4.9 for 60 months because employee pricing. Do the math. If you were to pay 4.9 times for 60 months and you were to get employee pricing, let's just say at five grand off MSRP, do that. go to autocalc.net and do the math with your tax and with everything and add that up. Then then forget all that and let's go, okay, what if I were to do it at uh four uh do it at uh um 0% for 72 months times uh 0% for 72 months and see what that number comes out to you for and see what your math is. At full MSRP price, I bet the MSRP probably wins. That's my guess. So again, even though they you think they're giving you a deal, they're really not. Uh it's always a game with them. Me personally, I'd rather do employee pricing goes away so the people that don't know better don't come pouring in here and I can just literally negotiate a better deal and I can get the 15 or 20% off MSRP for it. I can do All right, let's take a quick second mention our sponsor of this video here, Last Fit Done. If you guys know me, you know I love Last Fit stuff.
Their mats are amazing. We put one in Tina's long time ago. There it is right there. This is it. The last fit bed mat.
Look at the fit and the coverage of this thing. It's just so well done. They do these things so good. Just took it out of the box, which you can see sitting right there. And uh we just put it in.
But we have both. We got the bed mat and we have the tailgate cover. Look at this tailgate cover on here. Just real simple. Just replace your bolts with it.
We have that mat in here. Look at this thing. It will form and conform and lay flat right in and follow the contours of this just like what happens in this one.
How you know this was the same way when I got this one. Look at how perfectly it fits right now. How excellent that is.
So nice. No slip. And look at how the deep this thing trays. What that means is that means that I can just easily slide this out and dump it if I got crap in there. People don't understand these, but these ridges that we see right in here, these are gear stopper ridges.
Okay? So, what that means is that means the gear won't slide. So, like my battery system here, if I put that here, it will not slide forward. It does not come past those. And much better on your knees. Look at that. Okay? You don't get that aggressiveness of this and your gear is not getting wrecked and ruined by that sandpaper effect. These guys do better than you could ever imagine. The financing the right way and I can save a ton of money. That's how I like to buy them. These games like this get in the way. But say you want to lease one. I told you we'd tell you. Let's say you want to lease this truck right here. How are you going to do it? Or the S, let's do the STX deal first, then this one.
Just because it's a lease doesn't mean that it's the same thing. Just like when you come to a dealership and they say, "Okay, well, they say, "Well, your incentives are $5,000 off. That's the best you can do anywhere. It's the same for all dealerships. You might as well just buy it here." No.
No. Okay. That might be Ford's dealership incentive or Ford manufacturing's incentive, but the dealerships will deal. They might be charging only giving you, you might be able to get the best deal you can at 5 grand off here, but you might be able to drive literally 40 minutes down the road. You might be able to get eight grand off. You might be able to go 3 hours away and get 12 grand off. Don't think that for a second. The same applies to leases. Yet, every dealership wants you to think, "No, lease is a lease. Everybody pays the same for lease. I promise you they do not. You can negotiate a lease the same exact way. Do not fall for it. Cuz here's and here's what I would tell a dealer that says that. Okay? Soon as I tell a dealer, well, we got to be able to do better than this lease dealer. Like, no, it's a lease. It's from Ford. This is what Ford offers. There's no deals on a lease. It's the same everywhere.
Actually, it's not. I've leased a lot of vehicles and it's not really the case.
And honestly, even if it was, then what would be my incentive to buy it from you? Somebody somewhere of the hundreds and hundreds of Ford dealerships within my travel zone. If I offer them all the same pitch, sooner or later, somebody's going to want my business bad enough that they're going to do better than this lease deal. That could be you today. Here's what I'm looking for. You had a STX crew cab 27 uh four-wheel drive at 200A package and you had a 379 for 36 months with $5,400 down. Here's what I'm proposing and what I want. I want the same truck and the same lease deal, but instead of 379, I want it for $3.29 a month. And uh I will give you five grand down instead of the $5,500 down. So 500 less on down payment, and I want it for 50 bucks less a month. And uh so realistically that difference is going to cost you $2239 is what I'm asking you the dealership is my business worth $2,239 for me to buy it from you come here for the service come here to do everything and come back here when I'm ready to buy my next one in 3 years. Is it worth having me for that for $2,200 bucks or should I go elsewhere? Cuz again sooner or later somebody's going to agree to this pretty quickly and easy. And I think we both know that. See how I did that? See how that was done right there?
Okay. What if we take the same thing and we look at it from the XLT version which is sitting right here. How does the XLT stand up on that same deal? Okay. Well, they want 509 for 36 months and they want it for 3529. Do it signing. What if we leave the the the payment the same at 509 for 36 months, but we tell them instead of 3529, we want it for a,000 do it signing.
1,000 do it signing. That's a difference of $2,500. Is my business blah blah blah blah blah. same exact thing we said again. And you keep working it with dealerships. And I promise you, it will take you no time at all, no time at all to beat that. And you will have saved 11% on a lease deal. 11% of your money that you pay will have been saved on that lease deal. Coming in at between $2,200 and $2,500 for your three-year lease. That's a heck of a pretty good deal. Don't be afraid to try it. Don't be afraid to. And don't think for a second that every dealership is the same way all the time. It is the furthest thing from the truth. Questions?
