Reed provides a sharp and necessary critique of the logical contradictions between innate moral intuition and problematic religious commands. His analysis effectively exposes the fragility of using human conscience to justify ancient texts that frequently violate it.

Alex O'Connor Stole My Argument - I Have Proof! (@CosmicSkeptic)Added:
Uh, this video is difficult for me to make. I I never thought I'd have to make this video.
I don't know where to start, but, uh, I guess I'll I guess I'll just come out and say it.
Alex O'Connor stole from me.
I am a lot smaller of a creator than Alex O'Connor.
Um, I have like less than half of the subscribers he has. And [music] yet, he has definitely seen my content, he's definitely [music] watched my videos, and he stole from me.
And I'm going to prove it.
In November of 2025, I posted a video which included this argument. [music] We know there's objective morality because of our intuition. That's the only way we really know is because we are horrified by things that we think are immoral, and we can't imagine that they're ever okay. So, because of our intuitions, we say that this is immoral.
So, the third premise is then there must be a god to ground that morality. So, I'm going to grant the third premise.
Okay? I'm going to grant the third premise that now that the first two are done, we do need a god. But now I'm going to go on the hunt for that god because I'm not going to presuppose that it's the god of the Bible or the god of the Quran or any other god. I'm not going to presuppose any of that. I'm going to go hunting. So, let me go look let me open the Bible. Let me have a look here.
Oh, okay. So, god here, uh, says to go and kill a bunch of infants. He says to stone, uh, people that don't bleed on their wedding night.
Okay, sorry. Not a moral god. My intuitions, the ones that told me that morality was objective, those same intuitions tell me that this god who says it's okay to keep slaves and rape war brides, this God is is not moral. So, I'm going to throw that book away and maybe I'll go and look at the Quran and see if it doesn't recommend pedophilia. Oops, it does.
Okay, so I can throw that one out, too.
And recently, just a few days ago, Alex O'Connor was in a debate with William Lane Craig.
And he said this. Now, how do we know that objective morals exist?
How do we know that? Because God has placed within us, is written the law on our hearts. He's placed within us extremely strong intuitions about the nature of right and wrong, about the idea that there are right and wrong things and some apprehension of what those things are. And yet, in the face of animal suffering, in the face of biblical slavery, in the face of biblical genocide, I'm told to abandon these intuitions, the very intuitions that I'm supposed to rely upon to prove the existence of the God who ordained that scripture in the first place. So, maybe you might be quite right to say that I shouldn't be able to take my moral intuitions and trust them and say that they're real and that they're accurate.
But if that's the case, then you've undermined one of the reasons why we believe in the existence of God as the grounding of of morality, because that relies on the intuition that objective morals exist.
>> That is the exact same argument which I made up and I am like 99% sure Alex O'Connor has not made it before November 2025 and I'm pretty sure no one else has ever come up with that argument ever in the history of the world. Alex O'Connor specifically and deliberately stole my argument. Not only that, just to make matters worse, but he also said this.
It's the animal suffering that God commands throughout the Bible.
In the book of Joshua, he tells the Israelites to to hamstring horses when he's just when he's committing a genocide against them. To hamstring the horses, which seems completely unnecessary. As you saw, he mentioned the hamstringing of horses from Joshua 11. A verse that no one else was using before I started using it. God commands the hamstringing of horses unnecessarily after the battle is done just to torture horses gratuitously. And I have hours and hours of content where I I talk about this ad nauseam because it's like Christians have no answer to why God would do something so horrific.
And Alex O'Connor stole it.
He stole that verse from me. It's my verse. I'm the only one that uses that verse. I hope Alex is watching this video. Alex, you can't just watch us fledgling creators who are like half as big as you or less and take our arguments without giving us credit.
Okay?
That moral argument is my moral argument. The The The argument from intuition, I call it. Okay? I've named it Joel's argument from intuition.
That's my argument.
Okay? It debunks any objective morality conversation that anyone's ever had in this space, and you took it from me wholesale.
All right? And that hamstring verse is mine. No one else is allowed to use it because I was the one that found it. No one else knew it was there before I started reading the Bible, and I uncovered this gem to show how evil God is. And next thing I know, I'm watching you in a debate, and I'm seeing you steal it.
I hate that I have to make this video, Alex. You're better than this. And I'd say that it's morally wrong, but as you and I both know, there's no objective morals [snorts] to appeal to here. But, let me just say boo theft, Alex. Boo argument theft.
That's how I feel about it. That's what I'm emoting at you right now. It's immor- boo theft. So, I'm expecting an apology.
Um I I I I would like to uh have Alex publicly on his channel say, "Yes, that was Joel Reid's Bible's argument from intuition against objective morality." I I like I would just love to see that. I think it's I think I'm owed it.
So, do the right thing, Alex, and stop stealing my arguments.
Like this one. Satan is coming against me, or is is Jesus also coming against me on the other angle? How does this work? No, so basically what the idea is is that because you are not with Christ, you are susceptible to anything demonic to influence you, to come around you, to come to uh to take over. So, things are coming around me, coming against me, but I really want Jesus to like come in me, or like how does it work? So, I don't know. But, what I do know is that when you >> you doing here if you don't know?
Well, do you know everything? No, but like you're the one that's like >> would you think that I would know everything?
>> At least about the thing that you've come here to talk about. You don't know how I'm going to get Jesus to come in or on me and >> coming to an understanding. All right, let's work it out. So, someone So, things are coming around me and coming on me and coming or coming at me.
>> it's a warfare. It's warfare. We all We all deal with it. We all deal with it.
Mhm. Okay? And so, but the problem is is that in that when we join in with the idea and we continue it says that our tongue has the power of the tongue.
>> in.
I don't think I want to join in. You are by using your tongue to it says even a spark starts a forest fire. So, everything you say >> Why do I have to use my tongue?
You are creating your own thing. So, you are your own God. So, you're creating your own idea and you're moving along with it and your heart is getting hardened by the day. As you continue to move forward with it >> I swear to God I'm I don't want to use my tongue and I don't want to get hardened.
