Each and every lesson last minute revision I will do it, ma. So, make sure sit back and don't skip the video and watch till the end. [00:00:28]After watching this full video, you will only thank me in the comment section, okay? So, total we are discussing only five units. From unit number one, The Blue Light. Unit number two, we are discussing Mending Walls. Unit number three, Pray the Song for My Mother. Unit number four, The Romance of a Busy Broker. And the unit number five, we are discussing Letter to Lord Chesterfield.

[00:00:51]So, these are the five lessons we are discussing, ma. Whatever the lessons I am discussing in this video will be more than enough to attempt in the part B summaries in your final examination, okay? So, each and every lesson I will explain in a last minute revision, okay?

[00:01:23]Without getting late, first I'll start with the lesson The Blue Light, okay?

[00:01:28]The first lesson is The Blue Light, which is written by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. So, one of the greatest Malayalam writer he is.

[00:01:39]His stories are very simple, emotional, and are based on the real human feelings. Now, let us understand the story, ma. What is there in the story?

[00:01:48]The story begins with a writer who rents an old house on a lonely hill, okay?

[00:01:54]Because he wanted peaceful place to write. So, however the villagers warn him that the house is haunted by the ghost of a young woman named Bhargavi Kutti. According to them, Bhargavi committed suicide after the man she loved married someone else. Before because of this tragic incident, people are afraid to stay in that house, but the narrator is different. He does not believe in ghost. Instead of feeling fear, he feels sympathy for Bhargavi.

[00:02:24]Before entering the house, he politely speak to the spirit that I am only staying here to write. So, please don't trouble me. This shows his kindness and respect towards the ghost. Every night the narrator keeps a blue lamp burning inside the house. The blue light becomes a symbol of peace, hope, and friendship, etc. And it creates the understanding between the narrator and the Bhargavi's spirit.

[00:02:55]One rainy night, what happened means when the narrator returns home, he notices a mysterious blue light shining from his room.

[00:03:03]Instead of getting frightened, he feels peaceful and believes it is a gentle sign that Bhargavi spirit is still there in the house.

[00:03:11]So, the story ends with a calm and emotional note, ma. It teaches us that compassion is stronger than fear. We should never judge others without understanding their pain. Love, kindness, and humanity, whatever you are having, it has remained meaningful even after the death. Okay? So, how to remember the important points of this story in the examination point of view means author is Vaikom Muhammad Basheer.

[00:03:41]Main character is the narrator and the ghost Bhargavi Kutti. What is the theme of the lesson you are having, ma? Love, loneliness, compassion, humanity we are having.

[00:03:51]The blue light is representing the hope, peace, and friendship. And moral of the story is about the understanding are more powerful than fear. So, you need to understand the each and every important point whatever is there. The blue light is not about a ghost story, ma. It is a story about compassion, humanity, and as well as the love, okay? So, students, next lesson, ma, from unit number two, we are discussing about the Mending Wall. Now, let's move on to the second lesson of second unit. Uh Mending Wall Mending Wall was written by Robert Frost, ma. He's one of the greatest American poet. He was very famous for writing simple poems with deep meanings.

[00:04:35]So, what is there in this poem means?

[00:04:37]The poem is about the two neighbors who repairs the wall between the farm fields every spring season.

[00:04:44]During winter, nature breaks the wall.

[00:04:47]Ice, wind, rain, whatever it might be.

[00:04:50]Even hunters also create the gaps in it.

[00:04:53]So, every year both neighbors work together to build that wall.

[00:04:58]While repairing the wall, the speaker starts thinking that he asks himself that do we really need this wall?

[00:05:06]His apple trees and the neighbor's pineapple trees can never harm each other. So, he feels that there is no need of like creating this wall.

[00:05:17]However, the neighbor keeps repeating one famous line that good fences make good neighbors.

[00:05:23]He believes wall create respect, privacy, and the proper boundaries between the people, but the speaker has a different opinion on it. He believes that people should question old tradition instead of following them blindly. Nature itself is breaking the wall every year as if it is trying to tell us the people that we should live together, not stay separated, okay? The poem does not clearly say how who is right, but still but still instead of it makes us about an important question that do walls really protect really relationships or do they create a between distance between the people? This is the central idea of the poem. What is the important the concepts you need to remember in the poem means the author is about the robot Frost. The theme of the lesson is about relations, traditions, boundaries, and the communication. The famous line is about the poem is the good fences make good neighbors. So, what is the moral of the story is nothing about trust, understanding are the stronger than the unusual barriers. Okay, so Mending Wall will teach us us to balance the traditional with logical thinking. Okay, so this is about the unit number two Mending Walls lesson. Now, let's revise the third unit, Praise Song for My Mother, which is written by Grace Nichols. So, she is a very famous poet.

[00:06:52]This is a beautiful poem in which a poet expresses her deep love, respect, and gratitude towards her mother. So, instead of saying my mother is a good, the poet compares her mother in a different elements of the nature. Like what is the comparison she was done in the poem means in the first stage of the poem, the mother is compared with water.

[00:07:13]Just a water gives life to every living thing in the world, the mother gave love, care, emotional support, and strength to her daughter. In the second stanza of the poem, the mother is compared to the moon.

[00:07:26]The moon shines in the darkness and shows the right path. Similarly, the mother guided her daughter whenever she faced difficulties and gave her a confidence. Okay, in the third stanza of the poem, the mother is compared to the sun.

[00:07:41]Although we all know, sun provides light, warmth, and energy. The mother fill a daughter's life with the happiness, courage, and hope, like that.

[00:07:50]In the fourth stanza, the mother is compared to food. Food gives nourishment and strength. In the same way, the mother fulfilled both physical and emotional needs of her daughter.

[00:08:01]Finally, mother tells her daughter, "Go to your wide futures." This means a true mother not only protects her child, but also prepares the child to become independent and successful in life. So, the poem celebrates a unconditional love of mother's, sacrifice, the guidance, and encouragement. This is about the uh poem. What is the important points you need to remember here means the author is about the Grace Nichols. And uh here in the theme of the poem, we will get to know about the mother's love, care, sacrifice, and her guidance.

[00:08:37]And what is uh in which she would it was compared with the water, moon, sun, and food, the mother is compared. And the moral of the story of the "Praise Song for My Mother" is nothing about it will celebrating the unconditional love and lifelong guidance of the poet's mother.

[00:08:56]So, a mother's greatest gift is preparing her child for the future, okay? So, this is all about the uh "Praise Song for My Mother" story, okay? And next, we are discussing about the lesson "The Romance of a Busy Broker." The story is about the Harvey Maxwell. A story is about a stockbroker in New York. He is extremely busy with his office work from morning till evening. He keeps giving instructions, attending customers, signing papers, and making business relations, everything.

[00:09:27]He was so busy that he does not even time to think about his personal life.

[00:09:32]His secretary is there, Miss Leslie, uh Elias, I L I L I works uh sincerely with him every day. She is intelligent, calm, and hardworking girl. One day, Harvey means suddenly means the person uh Harvey Maxwell is there, no? He suddenly realizes that he loves uh Miss Leslie.

[00:09:52]Without remembering what happened earlier, he proposes to her and asks her to marry him.

[00:09:58]Miss Leslie is surprised and smiles. She tells Harvey that why you are proposing again. We are already married yesterday.

[00:10:06]Harvey is shocked because he was so busy with his work that he completely forgotten his own wedding. This is unexpected ending makes the story uh humorous and memorable, ma. So, the story shows that work is important, but we should never become so busy that we should forgot the most important moments of our personal life.

[00:10:28]So, what is the exam uh related important points you need to remember means the author is about the O. Henry.

[00:10:35]So, the main characters you will have here in this is Harvey Maxwell and the Miss Leslie. And uh here uh what it will discuss about means here it will discuss about the work-life balance, love, and the human relationships. So, success in work should never become uh as ignore our family and personal happiness. So, the romance of a busy broker teaches the excessive devotion to work can make us miss the most uh prestigious and precious moments of our life. Next, we are going to the fifth unit. Uh the lesson is about the letter to Lord Chesterfield, which is written by Dr. Samuel Johnson. So, one of the greatest English writer and literary uh critics, ma. So, before understanding this letter, we should know about the uh who is Lord Chesterfield was. So, Lord Chesterfield was a wealthy and influential man. So, Dr. Johnson expected his uh support while uh preparing his famous English dictionary.

[00:11:35]However, during the difficult years of writing the dictionary, Lord Chesterfield did not help him. After the dictionary became famous, Johnson and tried to make credit for supporting him.

[00:11:47]Johnson was unhappy with his behavior.

[00:11:50]Means, he wrote a polite but powerful letter. In the letter, what it is there means, Johnson says that true support should become when the person is struggling not after becoming successful. So, he compares a selfish supporter to someone who watches a person drown and also offers help after the danger is over.

[00:12:11]So, Don Johnson also explains that self-respect is more valuable than money or influence. He refuses to depend on people who ignored him during the difficult times of his life. The letter became famous because it teaches the importance of self-respect, gratitude, genuine friendship, and the honesty. So, what you remember in this lesson means, it was written by Samuel Johnson. So, it will explain about the person of Lord Chesterfield. Okay. [snorts] So, it is about the self-respect and the true and honesty and dignity about that.
