When purchasing collectible items, consumers should research vendor reputation and choose trusted platforms like BrickLink or official retailers to avoid scams and unethical practices; the LEGO community should support vendors who demonstrate integrity and avoid those with documented history of deceptive business practices.

How To Destroy Your Company OvernightAdded:
The LEGO community recently has faced a very interesting case of drama surrounding one of the biggest third-party sellers when it does come to LEGO products. That being Bricks & Minifigs and their very shady practices at best. Now, I understand that this isn't a typical WeeVee video and I'm honestly very sorry for that. But as someone who actively collects Ninjago minifigures and also encourages Ninjago fans to do so as well, I definitely felt like it was needed to actually continue to help spread some sort of awareness to the situation. Because honestly, this is a company that you should probably no longer support. I know this is a LEGO video, but enjoy my Transformers Devastation gameplay in the background because it's an amazing game. But yeah, obviously like I said, I said you probably shouldn't support this company, but you most definitely shouldn't.
Recently, a YouTuber by the name of Reckless Ben has done a documentary surrounding his quest to help someone get their LEGO Star Wars collection back from a local Bricks & Minifigs vendor.
And without spoiling too much of the video because I want you guys to go and watch it for yourselves and the links to them are in the description down below, he has definitely exposed the fact that this is a company that is the center of very bad practices. Reckless Ben with evidence has shown that this company has taken a large sum of LEGO Star Wars sets worth around $200,000 and has proceeded to sell them off ignoring a contractual obligation to actually give the money back to the person who gave them the LEGO. Honestly, it is disgusting at best and the video perfectly demonstrates the technique that this company has been going through just to simply try and avoid giving this person back their money. And again, as the video has shown, it's not just a simple as one individual store being in on it.
Reckless Ben has gone through many attempts to actually show authorities and also the CEO of Bricks & Minifigs on what is truly going on. But it seems to be that no one truly even cares about the fact that someone has been stolen.
There is a whole story behind it, and that's why I'm recommending you look into it because again, I really want you to go and support reckless Ben in his endeavors. But, he has shown time and time again that this is a company that has done something that is outright disgusting and is not supporting anything that the LEGO community should stand by. In terms of the situation itself, there are plenty of other creators, and reckless Ben himself, who has explained this whole context perfectly. And again, please check him out. I want to make that abundantly clear. But, the reason I am making this video is because I want to shed some light on what the Ninjago community should probably do moving forward.
Obviously, Ninjago is a huge brand, and there are loads of Ninjago creators and Ninjago fans that actively use Bricks & Minifigs to acquire their own stuff for their Ninjago collection. And the thing is, is that I do think at this point in time, it is not a good idea to continue to use them as a vendor. Bricks & Minifigs has been no stranger to doing dubious things when it comes to the Ninjago in the past. This year, we have seen a massive spike of Ninjago minifigure prices. We have had a whole situation of many Ninjago minifigures just being completely out-priced for seemingly no reason. One of the biggest ones being Lloyd DX. And Bricks & Minifigs have been trying to sell off this minifigure for a thousand dollars anyway. So, the thing is is that they've already been not really the best option when it does come to Ninjago. But, I do think with this situation going forward, there is absolutely no reason to continue to utilize this company. So, going forward, I want to give you a plethora of suggestions on how you can go about gaining Ninjago minifigures and Ninjago sets without utilizing this company. Because, obviously, if you want to continue to utilize them, I can't stop you. It's your life. But, the thing is is that if you do want to go against some of these terrible practices, and honestly one of the worst things the LEGO community have seen in a very long time, you have plenty of other alternative methods when it does come to getting your own Ninjago products. The main one that I will always suggest without fail is going to be BrickLink.
BrickLink is the site that I personally actively use when it comes to any Ninjago product. I will always check for minifigures, always check for sets. It is the place to go. Most of my Ninjago collection comes from BrickLink, and I have quite simply never had an issue on that site after ordering hundreds of times. So, the first thing I want to get out of the way is if you aren't using BrickLink, it's the place to be. The only problem is that it doesn't have physical stores. It is purely online, but I would genuinely suggest going on there to get your products instead and just waiting the few extra days. Because typically as well, it's also more fairly priced. A second suggestion that you could always do is just simply first party. This only really applies to new Lego products, but Bricks and Minifigs do sell new things basically as soon as they are released. But if you are after Dragons Rising sets, Legend sets, Legacy sets, always just look for your primary sources. Of course, I am not American. I am from the UK. But the thing is is that I know that there are plenty of stores out there like Walmart, like Target that do sell Lego sets. So again, I would always suggest you use them before you go to a place like Bricks and Minifigs.
And the third option that I would suggest, but I would make sure that you are careful, are sites like eBay and Amazon. Now, they are very susceptible to fake minifigs and sets. And as long as you are careful and you go with the trusted sellers, there is no problem with it absolutely whatsoever. I have gotten a fair few minifigs and sets from there in my time, but I just make sure to pay attention to the little details.
Typically speaking, the more reliable, the more trustworthy sellers will provide proof that they are genuine sets and minifigures. Typically speaking, what I find is that they show the LEGO copyright logo on the individual pieces.
So, if you are checking that and if they do seem fairly priced, I would definitely suggest doing that as well.
Because again, there is nothing wrong with those sites just as long as you are careful. I want to make that abundantly clear. There are other alternatives that I am probably not aware of, but just know that if there is something that is reliable, if it's something that is trustworthy, if it's something that a lot of people do use, like BrickLink, I would honestly recommend that this is the place place going forward. Because this situation with Bricks and Minifigs is honestly kind of scary. This is just one instance. We don't know how widespread this issue could truly be. Of course, Bricks and Minifigs are currently denying it. And well, that is of course what they would do. And I'm not trying to pick a fight with this company by any account. But after looking through the evidence, after discussing it heavily with other Ninjago YouTubers, it feels pretty plain as day.
It feels pretty fair to say that Bricks and Minifigs have done something that truly isn't good. And something that we shouldn't support no matter what. And I just hope above all else is that the Ninjago community is treated fairly by these companies. At the end of the day, you are paying for their product. You are giving them your money and you don't want to waste it. You don't want to get scammed. You don't want to get anything of the sort. So, I just want to make sure that the Ninjago community as a whole is being treated fairly. Because I would hate nothing more than for Bricks and Minifigs to have done something like this to one of our own. So, at the end of the day, I just wanted to make this little video now just to make sure that people are aware of the situation that is unfolding. And honestly, a massive thank you to Reckless Ben for bringing it to light. If he somehow sees this video, again, thank you very much for this coverage. I am honestly actively supporting you in this and what you've done is amazing and And cannot thank you enough. And like I said, if you guys are able to, I would fully suggest supporting him in his endeavors. This is a crazy story and it definitely does deserve more light because Bricks and Minifigs should not be allowed to get away with this. And hopefully they won't and it seems like they won't, but of course, who truly knows. But that is all I really wanted to say when it does come to this situation. And let me know what you guys think of it down below. And do you still actively use Bricks and Minifigs? Do you know anything more about the situation? I would love to know what you guys think. But thank you very much for watching this video and I hope you enjoyed. And if you did, please consider subscribing. This isn't the regular type of video, but if you do like Ninjago content, there is plenty here to have. But if you are considering subscribing, if you do want to support the channel any further, which you don't have to, you could always become a channel member and join these legends that you see on screen. Each of you, your support means the absolute world to me and I cannot thank you enough. But like I said, that's about it for today and take care. And just be safe when it does come to these companies. Okay, bye.
