Olivia was handcuffed and had her underwear cut off in the presence of male policemen. This case happened in the same month as child Q, the case of a teenage schoolgirl who was stripped and searched on school premises. She was also menstruating at the time of this event. Olivia, who was mixed race and autistic, was stripped and searched in December 2020. Her mother was given no warning that she was going to be stripped and searched.
