The expert reduces a complex geopolitical conflict to a glorified sales pitch for basic phishing filters. It is a classic high-intellectual move to package state-level warfare into a neat, marketable narrative that serves the tech industry's interests.

Iran wages a cyber war on IsraelAdded:
Now, here in Israel, there have been two wars going on simultaneously. One has sent us to the bomb shelters more times than we can count, and one that's happening inside our cell phones. And this may be just as dangerous. So, for more, I'm now joined by Ouri Segal, co-founder and CEO of cybersecurity company Cyvor. Ouri, thank you very much for joining us today. So, in this latest Iran war, has there been an uptick in cyber attacks?
Yes, of course.
Actually, from the beginning of the war, we saw 700 percent increase in cyber attacks, especially on civilians, and also for many companies here here in Israel. Only in the past three or four weeks ago, and it's happening daily. You can read it all over the newspaper because the cyber institute are putting that every day. We saw a major attack for civilians that come from like Super-Pharm and Egged and Ivory, a lot of major Israeli companies that civilians get like a survey into their SMS message.
It's It's look very very real because there is a a lot of impact into that and a lot of people that answering that, but it's a very malicious fishing campaign. We also saw during the war that a lot of civilian got an SMS to update the Pikuda Oref app.
And if somebody did that, it will penetrate, especially into their phone itself, and then they can steal their credential. Not only steal money, they can really stay steal all the credential. And this is very very dangerous. And Iran is behind all these attacks, or there are other actors at play here?
There is many attackers out there, but some come from Iran, some come from Russia, from North North Korea.
But there is a way to avoid that, especially for for civilians because the purpose of the attackers are first to steal your money, second to steal your credential, and this is very dangerous, and third, like the holy grail, is to penetrate into the government, into like Bituah Leumi or IRS or whatever out there and steal many many important details about the civilians. So, this is their purpose.
But because of the rise of the AI and the LLMs, for the attackers, it's become very easy to do. And what we saw in the past few weeks here is a major attack on civilians. But what How can your company stop these attacks?
So, our company is is mainly focused on a B2B for organization, but we have a free website that called scanmysms.com, or you can go to Google and search for a messages or whatever you It will take you to to this website. It's totally free, and the only thing that you need to do is take any message that you get, forward that or copy that either to the website. We also have two bots over there, one for WhatsApp and and one for Telegram. So, it's like a contact in your phone. Any message you get, you just need to put it over there, check it, and in a blink of an eye, it will tell you either it's benign, safe to use, or suspicious, or malicious. And if this is a malicious message, don't touch it. Now, because we are working together with the Israeli cyber institute, any kind of that kind of a message that is a malicious going straight to them, and they know how to take care to take care of that.
Ouri Segal, co-founder and CEO of Cyvor, thank you very much for being with us today. Thank you for inviting me.
