The Certified Ethereum Developer (CED) certification program, offered by the Blockchain Council, is a vendor-neutral credentialing initiative that establishes minimum standards for Ethereum developers specializing in enterprise development. The program uses Solidity as the programming language and covers fundamentals of blockchain technology, Ethereum concepts, token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155), Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), IPFS, and smart contract development including testing and security. The 8-hour training course includes hands-on projects such as basic smart contracts with Remix IDE and MetaMask, advanced smart contracts using Truffle framework, end-to-end NFT projects, and NFT-based games. Candidates must pass a 1-hour exam with 60 out of 100 marks, with three attempts allowed. The certification enhances employability by providing proof of knowledge in the blockchain space and enables developers to build decentralized applications for enterprises and businesses.

Certified Ethereum Developer | Learn Smart Contracts & dApp DevelopmentAdded:
hello everyone and welcome to the introduction and overview of the certified ethereum developer certification program in this session we are going to explain what it means to be a certified ethereum developer and how it can help you provide an interoperable scalable secure and decentralized platform we are also going to shed light on how becoming an ethereum developer can help you benefit in your career prospects research projects at your job or any other place where this area of knowledge can be useful so who is a certified ethereum developer a certified ethereum developer is a skilled professional who understands and knows about ethereum blockchain and write smart contracts for different use cases in addition to that the developer also knows how to efficiently program smart contracts for ethereum blockchain platform a certified ethereum developer can use this knowledge to build blockchain-based applications for enterprises and businesses students can use the knowledge of smart contracts for research projects ced credential certifies individuals in the blockchain discipline from a vendor-neutral perspective this means that we do not talk about or promote any particular technology unless they have a specific feature that is used for research or blockchain related development work ced program is an exhaustive training and exam-based program that aims to provide proof of knowledge to the certificate holder within the blockchain space using solidity as a programming language the training course focuses on the fundamentals of blockchain technology ethereum concepts along with focusing on solidity and smart contracts wherever applicable with each concept we have included code samples in order to provide a better understanding of the code in the end an extended session on the development of different projects using solidity as a programming language is also included the purpose of this program is to establish and govern the minimum standards for credentialing ethereum developers who specialize in enterprise development measures we also want to assure that credentialed individuals meet or exceed the minimum standards and reinforce the idea that ethereum expertise is a unique and self-regulating profession if you are looking to prove your blockchain skills to the world then we think becoming a certified ethereum developer is the perfect choice for you this certification is well suited for individuals coming from various domains this certification will serve well to engineering and technical students programmers and developers software engineers and architects and all the tech enthusiasts who wish to understand this landscape and develop projects using the ethereum blockchain platform blockchain enthusiasts and technical researchers can use the information gathered from this course in learning more about the development side of blockchain engineering and technical students can appreciate how smart contracts work and how they can build applications efficiently across the ethereum domain programmers and developers who want to build some blockchain based applications for their organization or for a startup will find this program extremely useful software engineers and architects who are looking to include ethereum development in their skill set will find a wealth of relevant information in this course application architects who are looking to understand how and what features of ethereum blockchain can be used so that they can architect their applications will get a lot out of this course the biggest benefit of completing this certification is that you will become far more employable nowadays many big enterprises are looking to expand their blockchain knowledge base to include development on innovative faster and secure blockchain platforms this opens ample opportunities for a certified ethereum developer so what are the requirements for this program basic computer knowledge is mandatory we also appreciate some ideas about how computer networks work and the basics of distributed systems you should have a basic knowledge of blockchain technology like how this technology works and what are the different ecosystems of blockchain technology apart from this a basic understanding of the ethereum blockchain and some prior coding experience would be a plus however we will explain the core concepts revolving around blockchain in a much more profound way in this certification so you must be motivated enough to learn about solidity deeply because right now that's the most important language to learn in the blockchain domain there will be a total of eight hours of training and after that there will be a one-hour exam the exam will contain 60 questions that you have to answer and you have to pass the minimum threshold to receive the certification [Music] the exam will be of 100 marks and you have at least 60 marks to pass the exam if you fail the exam you can retake it after one day a total of three attempts are allowed however if you fail to get at least 60 marks after three attempts then you will need to contact the blockchain council team to have manual assistance for clearing the exam the certificate will be verifiable online on the blockchain council website so potential employers can search for you and hire you for projects directly through this website now comes the course content so the first module is about the introduction to the program this module comprises information about the course next is module 2 which is about the basics of blockchain we will discuss all the fundamental elements of blockchain in this module we have included this module just to summarize the fundamentals so that you can revise your knowledge about the blockchain module three is about the overview of ethereum blockchain in this module we will discuss the ethereum tokens supported by the platform its test networks and ethereum virtual machine next module is module 4 which is about the tokens in ethereum in this module we will discuss three major token standards supported by ethereum platform which are erc 20 erc 721 and erc 1155 next is module 5 which is understanding the non-fungible tokens in this module we will discuss the non-fungible tokens we will see how the technology of nfts works along with every aspect related to nfts in the next module we will jump to another important and exciting topic that is ipfs first we will discuss the fundamentals and then move into the installation part with running and operations of ipfs next module is about learning solidity where you will learn about different elements of solidity like functions function modifiers events units error handling etc next module is about getting started with the smart contract where you will learn about different tools to run and deploy the smart contracts next module is about the testing of smart contracts in this module you will learn about different tools to test the smart contract also you will learn about some major and common attacks which occurred due to smart contracts module 10 is all about the installation and configuration of different prerequisites required before jumping into the hands-on projects once we are done with the installation part we will jump into the next module which is about writing a basic smart contract with front end on ethereum platform this project is about writing a simple smart contract for depositing and withdrawing money we will use remix ide and metamask to do the same also we will write some front-end code to view it on our browser after we are done with our very first project which is obviously a basic one we will start some complex things now second project is about developing and writing an advanced smart contract in solidity for this project too we will develop front end code but this project will not be deployed on remix ide we will use a project structure provided by truffle framework and also use ganache as our local blockchain next two modules contain projects related to nfts the third project of this course is about developing an end to end nft project for advanced collectibles in this project we will create several scripts for performing the tasks since it is a complete end-to-end project on nft it comprises almost everything related to collectibles the last project of this course is about building or developing an nft game it will be a simple card game based on nft we will guide through how to deploy the nfts and create a website to perform operations on those nfts it's going to be a complete dap on the nft side of ethereum so this is all about the certified ethereum developer program let's get started
