The Eagle of the Ninth follows a young Roman officer in Britain who gets out beyond the edge of the known world to recover his father's lost legion and his honor. It treats courage, loyalty, and honor as things that actually matter. and it does it through a really compelling, dangerous story with characters your boys can aspire to.

[00:00:35]Brief content note, uh the story does feature characters who hold pagan religious beliefs. Uh story doesn't make a big deal of it, but you know, there you go. I'd especially recommend this for slightly older boys around maybe 11 to 14, especially if they like stories that feel a bit like Lord of the Rings but grounded in the real
