The doctrine of the Trinity was not invented by Constantine the Great at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, as some claim; rather, it was articulated by early Christian theologians like Tertullian (200 AD), Ignatius of Antioch (107 AD), and Justin Martyr (2nd century), centuries before Constantine was born. The Council of Nicaea did not invent the Trinity but rather settled theological disputes about whether Jesus was created or eternal, concluding that the Son is of the same essence as the Father. The word 'Trinity' itself does not appear in the Bible, but the concept of one God existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is clearly taught throughout scripture.

This Is What You Should Actually Be Afraid OfAdded:
This is warning and you all got to be very very careful when someone says I've done the research because sometimes what follow is simply not research at all. It is repetition, repetition of lies and lies and more lies and more lies.
So listen to this Miss Muslim. Please do not get distracted the way her fabric on her hair is like putting things together or the way her hair looks. Just listen her very carefully.
Well, number one as a Muslim, I want to say in the name of God, the beneficent, the most merciful. I bear witness that there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger. And as a believer in that and according to what we believe, we believe in the oneness of God that is also represented in the book of Genesis, right? God is one. That's one of the first commandments of any Christian.
However, we do know based on Jesus and his philosophy that there would be the deception of Satan that would enter into the world and Satan has deceived the whole world. So there are a lot of things that have been misperceived and misunderstood, but God says in the Holy Quran that none knows the interpretation save him and the ones that he has anointed with the word. So that's why I asked where do you believe the word Trinity originates from because that word doesn't exist in any version of the Bible. But the word Trinity, right?
>> Mhm. From my research and from my belief is that that word was originated from a man named Constantine. And if you're familiar with him and the Nicene Creed, there was a council of men, right? And Constantine, let's talk a little bit about his history. Constantine was originally a pagan worshiper and then he converted to Christianity because the Roman Empire at the time, it needed strength. But the Romans were sun god worshipers. And so he knew after he accepted Christianity that he would have to enter or mix paganism with Christianity in order for Rome to take Christianity as the religion.
>> much for sharing that.
So, Miss Muslim is very confident, right? With all of her confidence, she explains that the Trinity is not in the Bible. It was invented by Constantine the Great, and Christianity was mixed up with pagan worship, pagan sun worship, to control the Roman Empire. And that is, she says, based on her research.
Yeah.
That woman apparently did her research.
And now, she's educating whole world with the research she's done.
It is mind-blowing to me, like someone claims to do research, and then figures these things out.
What is her first thing is like, "Huh, Trinity is not in the Bible." No.
Somehow, let's say partially, I agree with that, right? The word Trinity is not in the Bible.
But here's the problem. Research does not ever and ever stops in vocabulary.
It simply investigate the concept, right? Examine the concept. The Father is identified as Yahweh. The Son is identified as Yahweh. The Spirit is identified as Yahweh. And all three are distinguished, but never divided into three gods.
Scripture teaches that before the foundation of the world, Father is loving the Son with the power of the Spirit. If your argument is the word is not there, therefore, the idea isn't there.
I'll tell you that on your face.
This is not research. This is not scholarship.
This is simply avoidance. The real question is not whether the word is there or not.
The real question is, what do the text actually teaches? These people who claims to do research, like they didn't even bother to like figure out, "Oh, well, tawhid is not there, blah blah."
Like seriously.
And the next is where all that research completely collapse, right? Or if there was a research at the first place. I'm just so questioning that phrase.
The part where Miss Muslim states that Constantine invented the Trinity.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The Trinity was not invented in 325 AD.
Let me say that again.
It did not begin with Council of Nicaea.
It did not begin with Constantine. It did not begin in 325 AD. Because long before Constantine, you've got Tertullian, 200 AD, right?
He's just using the term Trinity.
You've got Ignatius of Antioch around 107.
Calls Jesus God. Justin Martyr, 2nd century, describes Father, Son, and Spirit as one divine. And before that, way, way before that, you've got the scripture in your hand.
And all that before Constantine was even born. If someone hasn't been born yet, they cannot invent the term.
Right?
Like it is I know God does miracles, but no, this is not one of them. Constantine was not even born yet.
When Christians were worshipping triune God, he was not born yet. When Christians were identifying God as trinity, Constantine was not even born yet. So, what exactly is claimed here?
That the entire theological framework is invented by an empire, but already documented generations earlier.
That's not a history.
That is simply contradiction.
So, if this is research, it's ignoring over 200 years of documented Christian belief.
And this is another point where research, if you ever do research, that research will never take you to, right?
Your research will never take you that the Council of Nicaea invented trinity.
Council of Nicaea did not sit down to invent trinity. They did not sit down to invent a new concept of God.
It simply settled the dispute. One side stated that Jesus is created, other side stated that Jesus is eternal, whether he's in same essence or similar essence with the Father. And the Council, after debates, concluded the Son is of the same essence as the Father.
And you know what?
We know what they discussed, how they debated, what they put conclusion in Council of Nicaea, because every Sunday, almost every Sunday, at the church, we recite Nicene Creed. They didn't invent anything. They simply clarified things.
And Constantine, he didn't write the theology. He wasn't a bishop. If you do a little bit research, like use those fingers, you will know all he did was convened the meeting. He wasn't bishop, so bishops debated, not him.
Seriously, like moving your fingers is so difficult to do research.
And she says, "This is based on her research. I researched it."
And what is the next? Well, she states that Christianity is mixed with pagan worship.
Oh my god, like where did you figure these things out? Because this is where the thing sounds a little bit um convincing, right? But the moment you start thinking about it just little bit, you will know how arguments seriously just stopping serious at all. Yes, Rome had sun worship. Yes, Constantine the Great had a complicated past.
But here's the issue. Paganism, many gods.
Christianity, one god. Trinity is not three gods, it is one god. You may disagree with it, but you cannot honestly say it come from pagan polytheism.
The structures are completely different.
Seriously, like you know what the real issue is?
The real issue is so what actually happening here?
This is not that research leaded these conclusions.
It is that certain claims are being repeated without even someone checking them. Person said something, that person took it from there, and then that person take it, that person take it, that person take it. No one stopped and then said, "Let me check this." Because person A is lied, person B, C, D, E, F, G, all they carries that lie. I am so concerned, and I hope that this all concerns you as well. Because if you think about it, if you think about it.
Miss Muslim says, this is after she's done her research. Imagine.
Imagine. If this is the result of research, what do Muslims say without research?
What happens when Muslims don't do research at all?
That is should scare us all.
That should scare us all. But, let me point out something. Christianity doesn't begin with the theory about God.
It begins with God making himself known.
The Father is sending the Son, the Son is revealing the Father, the Spirit is opening our eyes to see. And that's not confusion.
It is communion. If you ever done research, and your research is honest, you know what?
It won't end in arguments. It will bring you face-to-face with the eternal Son of God, Lord Jesus Christ.
