All around the world including Bangladesh, millions of people are affected by dryey disease. Our research addresses this critical need by developing advanced industry ready opthalmic formulations. With the body grant along with aristoarma and my research team at the bio innovation research group of the department of biomedical engineering buet we are developing a dryey formulations to address the clinical challenges of dry eye. Studies show that over 90% of the conventional eye drops are cleared from the eye within minutes and a very limited amount of drug is actually absorbed. This leads to frequent dozing, poor patient compliance and limited long-term effectiveness. Through the body program, we are developing a nanoparticle based eye drop designed to stay longer on the ocular surface and deliver drugs more efficiently. This means better therapeutic effect, reduce dozing frequency and improve patient comfort. Looking ahead, this innovation will not only improve patient outcomes but also drive high value pharmaceutical development, strengthen local manufacturing and position Bangladesh as a global leader in next generation opthalmic drug delivery.
