This analysis sharply exposes how corporate shrinkflation erodes the fundamental social contract between brands and their loyal consumer base. It highlights a cynical economic shift where short-term profit margins are prioritized over the basic integrity of the product.

McDonald’s Is Getting Wrecked !!!本站添加:
Okay, so it was already small.
The file of fish has shrunk by, I'd say, 20%.
It is comically small.
I know my hands are large, but that's ridiculous.
shrinkflation is getting absolutely out of control at these fast food restaurants and for the most part no one is really calling them out trying to do anything about this. No one is really putting them in check. So every couple of weeks, every couple of months, it feels like everything is just getting smaller and smaller and smaller. Some people feel like they're going crazy because one week they go get a Big Mac and then the next week their Big Mac is half half the size. I want you guys to understand that these are supposed to be fullsized sandwiches.
But somewhere along the line, these full-sized sandwiches started becoming the size of a slider. Like you can go to White Castle or Crystalburg and you can get hamburgers or sandwiches that are just as big as the full-sized sandwiches at McDonald's and Burger King now. And I thought Burger King was bad when they started getting exposed for those teeny tiny double cheeseburgers, but I think McDonald's may take the cake here because like I said, these are supposed to be full-sized sandwiches. So, they come with full-sized prices.
The McDoubles and the filt of fish.
These are not $1 or $2 sandwiches like they used to be a few years ago. Okay.
The average price for a filt of fish at McDonald's is around six bucks in America right now. You're going to be spending anywhere from around $5.50 50 to $7 and some change just for that small fillet of fish. And if you want to make it a combo that comes with some soggy fries, a medium soggy fry and a small CocaCola, you're spending like $15. That's the average price. $15.
So, it's not like they're shrinking the size of their products and then charging you less. No, they're like doubling, quadrupling the price of their products while reducing the size of their products drastically.
I've never seen a filt of fish that you can just like it's like the size of a freaking pingpong ball. Like the guy said in the video, it's comedically small. When you go to a fast food restaurant and you're spending $15 on a combo, you know, for a fish sandwich, I understand you're not going to get the fancy nice fish sandwich that you may get at the local seafood restaurant, but you damn sure should get something better and bigger than what they're serving right now.
And you know, it's crazy because we're told that here in America, everything is bigger and better, right?
Here in America, everything is bigger and better. There's no shortage of food.
There's an abundance of wealth, an abundance of food.
Yet, if you look at McDonald's in other countries, the McDonald's burgers in other countries, they have not gotten smaller.
In fact, seeing McDonald's hamburgers from other countries, it kind of freaks me out now because the hamburgers look so large over there. But maybe they're just at the size that they used to be over here before shrinkflation. They've kind of gotten us used to these little tiny hamburgers and these little tiny sandwiches. Meanwhile, over in places like Egypt, this is what the hamburgers look like. This is what the McDonald's hamburgers look like in Egypt. I want you to think about what you saw at the beginning of this video with that teeny tiny fish sandwich. And then I want you to look at this burger. Let's go ahead and roll the clip and then I'll be right back with more.
>> Guys, look how huge the burgers are in Egypt compared to the US.
Going to take a video of one in the US when I get home after. This is We don't have this in the US, but still like a Big Mac should be this big. This thing's freaking huge. That's a McChick, too.
It's the same size. So, why in the hell do people in third world countries have bigger and better, higher quality hamburgers at their McDonald's than we do here in America? And I get it. I don't need to be flooded with comments saying that Egypt is not a third world country. I'm just saying like there shouldn't be countries in the Middle East that have bigger and better hamburgers at their McDonald's than in America. McDonald's was founded in America. Therefore, the hamburgers should be bit bigger and better here, right?
I'm starting to think that maybe we've been sold a lie. I'm starting to think that maybe we're the third world country now.
if I have to spend $15 to go get a filt of fish that's the size of a half dollar.
Whereas they're spending affordable like the food, the fast food is still affordable in other countries. They're spending less. They're getting better quality food and they're getting more bang for their buck. It would take four filt of fishes to equal the size of that hamburger that we just saw in that video. Literally.
And like I said, these are other countries. Next thing we know, we're going to be seeing that the chicken nuggets in Pakistan are much better than the soggy nuggets that were served here in America these days. It's absolutely insane. We're supposed to be in the wealthiest country of all.
Yet, it feels like there are just some people getting wealthy while screwing everyone else over. Especially at these fast food restaurants these days. If you can survive, if you can go there without getting shot or getting jumped, you're going to get screwed over one way or the other. You're going to be overpaying.
And they're shrinking the size of everything they have. And they act like we're not going to notice. They act like we're not going to notice that the hamburgers are now the size of sliders.
And you guys know how I am. When I look into a situation, when I look into a problem, I don't just look at the effects that the problem might be having on things right now. I don't just view the problem as solely existing in the current time and space that we're in in the present. When I look at problems, I think about those problems down the line, how those problems could get worse. And when seeing this issue with shrinkflation at these fast food restaurants, you really have to ask yourself, where do we go next?
Yeah, I think we can all grasp that prices will probably continue to rise, but how do you continue getting away with shrinking your product, with shrinking your hamburgers and your fish fillets?
Because before you know it, there's not going to be much left. Are we going to be spending $20 for a fish fillet combo?
And the fish fillet is going to be the size of a chicken nugget. Is it going to be the size of like those little chicken minis that you get at Chick-fil-A for breakfast?
Are we really looking at filet of fishes that are going to be like this big in the future?
Because you got to ask yourself because look, things never get better, they always get worse. If they're shrinking down the size of a product, they're usually going to continue shrinking down the size of that product. They're usually not going to make that product bigger.
If a product reaches a certain price, nine times out of 10, yeah, they may have a deal or a sale, but nine times out of 10, the price of that product isn't going to come down. It may come down temporarily while they have some sort of a deal like, oh, you can get this two for $5.
But now that a filt of fish is six bucks, it's never going back to below that. So, the price is going to continue to rise and the size is going to continue to shrink. And I don't think they can make these sandwiches much smaller before people start revoling.
Seriously, you can't get much smaller than what we saw in this video.
when it comes to the hamburgers and stuff at these fast food restaurants.
So, I am really curious to see where this goes from here and how they describe their sandwiches in the future as they continue to get smaller and smaller and more expensive. But for now, I want to hear from you guys. What do you guys think about this? Have you noticed shrinkflation at other places?
Let me know down in the comments below.
