How I Made $2,000 in 2 Days Selling Digital Products (Without Social Media)Added:
In just 2 days, I made over $2,000 selling digital products. None of those sales came from social media. In fact, I only did three things. And in this video, I'm going to show you exactly what I did and how you can follow the same strategy using simple tools that did 80% of the work for me. And if we haven't met before, hi, I'm Michelle.
Last year, I made over $148,000 selling digital products. It was the thing that finally allowed me to walk away from corporate life and never apply for a job again. Now, I share a lot on this channel about my story, my results, my experiences. Obviously, your results will come down to your own effort and your own implementation. Okay, so let's start with the one thing you're probably wondering most. What did she sell? Okay?
Because 80% of these sales actually just came from one product. It was a very simple AI tool that helps you figure out why your digital product isn't selling, right? And it's a really nifty tool because it shows you how you can make more from the current digital products you have, okay? Rather than going out and creating new ones. I also then added a second mode later which gives you a complete plan of how to replace your current income with digital products.
Now, this might sound like a big tool.
It might sound like it's super complicated to create something like this, but it's actually not. It's a lot easier than you think. Okay? You actually don't need to be a coder to create a tool. You just need to describe what you want it to do. That's all.
Okay? and AI will create it for you. The whole process took me less than 30 minutes. And I actually have a video that breaks down step by step how you can create your own mini apps, your own AI tools. I'll probably link it here, so you should watch it next because in this video, we're going to focus on how you sell it because what is the point of creating all of these tools and all of these digital products if you're not able to actually sell them and get paid?
And so, the first step in your sales strategy should be to create your launch plan. Now, I use one platform to make about 80% of my sales during a launch.
And it is not social media. It's not even YouTube. It's not Pinterest. It's email. Okay? Email is what brings your launches to life. Now, believe it or not, successfully launching a digital product and making money right away like I did within 2 days, it's a lot like a Hollywood movie release, right? And you might be thinking, "What the hell? I've just started out. I'm still early in my journey. How is this like a Hollywood movie?" Okay, well, let me explain. They don't wait until the movie is out to start promoting it. No, they promote that movie weeks before it comes out.
Now, I'm a massive Marvel fan and right now Spider-Man, the new Spider-Man movie, it isn't out yet, but I can't wait to watch it. I've been seeing ads for it for about 6 weeks and it's still not coming out to next month. Why? The marketing campaign is supposed to hype you up. It's supposed to get you looking forward to the film. And it's exactly the same with your digital product. And this is where so many people go wrong when they launch their digital products.
They leave so much money on the table because they're waiting until the day that their product drops to start saying, "Oh, hi. I've got a new product.
Do you want to buy it?" No one's excited about it. There's no anticipation. It's not a moment. But the issue is your customers, they're not excited about it.
You've creating no anticipation. There is no moment for them to look forward to. You need to create a moment for your product. And what you should be doing is sending emails before it launches. This is how you get people excited about your product. This is how you get them looking forward to the day it launches, and this is how they buy right away. So before we get into the emails that you need to send and when you need to send them, you actually need a platform to send them from, right? And there isn't a more important tool than this, okay? And if you choose the wrong tool to send your emails from, you literally just won't get the most sales that you can from your launch. Cuz that's something that I've been testing and it's super exciting. So, back to your emails. Once you've got your account set up, your omniscent account set up, there are two major features that are going to help you implement this launch strategy. The first one is email automations. And this is honestly one of the things that I love most about email marketing because your content gets to be completely automated. You only need to write those emails once and Omnisen will send them out automatically for you. Right? So that's why automations are so crucial.

You're actually going to click email.
And this is where you're going to write all the content that I'm going to show you. Okay? So, all the emails that I'm going to show you, this is how you create them in Omnisend. Now, the second feature you'll find really handy when you do this is the delay feature. So, you're going to write all of your emails up front. You're going to schedule them, but you're going to make sure to add a delay in between each email so that your customers are not getting all these emails at the same time. Let's get into the actual emails you should be sending. And so for the 5 days leading up to your product launch, you're going to send what I like to call the warm-up. This is where you focus on building problem awareness, right? You're making your audience aware of the problem they have.
That is the job of these emails. For my cashback calculator, my problem awareness was focused on three things, right? Number one, I educated my audience on the importance of traffic for selling their digital products. I know so many of you are struggling with sales because you're just not getting enough people to your product page. And then number two, for those people that did understand that they needed more traffic, they had a second problem because they didn't know what good looked like and they didn't know how much traffic they actually need. And this is supernatural, by the way. You might feel like, God, I know I need more people to my product page, but how many people do I need and what do I need to do to get them there? You fall into group two. Okay? And so that is what I educated. My last strategy, and this always works a charm, and I do this a lot, even in my YouTube videos, and the best one to describe your lack of traffic or not knowing what your numbers should look like is like being on a diet, right? And I'm on this journey, right? I'm on a diet. I'm on a fat loss journey, so I can relate. And that's exactly what it's like when you don't know your traffic numbers. Okay? So, those are the type of emails that I was sending for the first 5 days, drawing attention to that problem. After 5 days, you then need to flip to a weight list strategy. Now, a weight list is really powerful because not only does it let your audience know that something's coming, it creates this sense of like exclusivity, right? Think of the last time you had to be on a list for something, right? Maybe it was a trainer drop, okay? Sneakers for the US people, we call it trainers here. Or maybe it was like concert tickets, right?
Whatever it is, if you're on that list, you cannot wait for it to drop. You're on the list. You're like messaging your friend like, "Get ready. We're about to get our tickets, right?" You are so excited about that purchase. And you can actually create that same feeling for your digital product by creating a weight list. Now, two things to keep in mind here. You need to make it worth their while to join your weight list.
Okay? So, you need to clearly tell them what they get for being on it. I like to give a special bonus. So, when you join my weight list, you actually get bonus content that no one else has. So, that's one strategy and it works really, really well. So, I sent four weight emails. Two on the first day and then two on the second day. And some of you might think, "Oh my gosh, four emails feels like a lot." But you'll be surprised how many reminders people actually need because everyone's got a lot going on. and reminders is where you're going to get the most signups. So, once you've sent your weight list emails, you're now ready to move on to your launch emails.
But before you send one launch email, you need somewhere to sell your digital product. Okay? This is where you're going to send everyone to. And it's really important because it doesn't matter how good your emails are. If you then send someone to a really subpar website or you try and sell on Etsy, you run a big risk of losing out on a lot of sales and I don't want that for you. On the first day, I send two emails. On the second day, I send three emails. Five emails in total. And that's it. And quick heads up before I break them down, keep in mind I already had a list to send these emails to. If you don't have a list, hold tight. I'm going to tell you exactly what you should do a little later on in the video. Okay, so here's how the five emails break down.
Email one is it's here. Okay, this one is really short. It's your warm up and your weight list emails have done all the work. This first email is all about excitement. Okay, this is why the subject line is it's here. It's launched. And this is what I said. I was like, this is the exact tool that you need to track your sales, make more money for every digital product sale. I finally have a plan to go full-time with digital products. Okay, so this email was intentionally designed to be very short. And the goal of the email really was to ramp up their excitement and clearly communicate what it is that the product does. Now we get to email two sent on the same day a few hours later.
So make sure you use that delay feature that I showed you in Omnisend. And so this email also very short says, "Hey, I think you might have missed the email that I sent earlier. This is what I launched." And then I will basically go into detail of what's included in bullet points. I will also tell them why they should buy now. So this is a pro tip.
You need to use some sort of urgency to prompt people to buy now. Not next week, not next month. They'll forget about it.
You need to make sure that you plan ahead of time. What triggers can I use to help encourage people to buy now? So, for this launch that we're talking about, mine was a very heavily discounted launch price. Okay? So, if you're on my email list, you're always going to be the first to know when I'm launching stuff, but you're always going to get the best price for my products on the first few days that it launches.
Okay? So, this could also be a bonus if you don't want a discount. You could add an extra tool like a checklist or a prompt. Anything that helps them to get results faster. Okay, so moving on to day two of the launch, email three. Now I am sending an email all about pain points. Okay, so the pain point for this product was that your digital products aren't selling. And did you know that you don't have to create new products?
You just need to know your numbers.
Right? So that was the pain point that I leaned into. I might also sometimes in a launch talk about any limiting beliefs that I think might be holding people back. Right? So think about that as well. And then email four is your social proof. This is the second email that I send on day two. And it's all about talking about how many people have bought the product. Any early testimonials. The goal here is to create FOMO, okay? And make them understand that actually other people are interested and are grabbing this tool and getting value from it. And this also feeds the urgency thing I was speaking about. You want people to have a reason to take action. Now, you might be thinking, "H, but Relle, I might get to day two and I don't have any sales yet."
That's okay. You then should focus on reminding them of the urgency angles, the one I spoke earlier. So, the discount or the bonus that they're getting. Now, by email five, this is my third email on the second day. This is the last email I'm sending. This is again very short and it's very simple.
It's a last chance email. I'm just letting people know that this is their last chance to grab this offer. And this really gets the final people off the fence. The people that were saying, "Oh, you know, I'll do it later." This is what gets them to buy, right? And this is where you'll actually make most of your sales. So, if you're going through a launch and nothing's selling and you get to the last email, you're like, "God, no one's going to buy." People will buy on that last email. Most people will. And that is your launch completely done. That's the exact strategy I used to make $2,000 in two days. And I didn't post about it on social media. Now, one important thing. I have to say this.
Please do not zone out on what I'm about to say right now because if you do, you're probably going to give up on your launches before you get any results. So, hear me when I say this. It is very unlikely that on your first launch, you're going to make 2K in 2 days. Okay?
This is not my first rodeo. And on my first launch, I sold one digital product. But by repeating the process over and over and just getting a little bit better every single time, that is how I worked my way up to 2K launches.
It's how I'm going to continue working my way up to 20 30k launches. Okay? So, trust me, when it's not working, it's not because you've used the wrong strategy. It's usually just because you don't have enough reps yet. You haven't done this long enough. You don't know what your baseline is. Okay? And also, you need an email list.
