Hadzabe Wild Hunt and Cooking Big Baboons,Lion Fighting and Ways of Life | Hadzabe Tribe HuntingAdded:
I travel deep into nature with the Hadzaid men to search for signs of lions. Using knowledge passed down through many generations, we observe every movement of the wild land around us.
cut.
See, We had saved people have lived near lion territory long before modern roads appeared in this region. Because of that, I was taught from a young age how to recognize signs of these large animals in nature. Before sunrise, I leave the camp with the other men from the tribe and walk deep into the vast dry grasslands of Tanzania.
Nobody speaks too much because in the wild, listening is always more important than talking.
Heat. Heat.
As we move, we constantly observe the ground. Lion tracks are usually large, deep, and round on soft sand. The older men in the group can look at the sharp edges of footprints and estimate how long ago the animal passed through the area. If the edges are still clear and not heavily covered by windblown sand, it means the lion is probably still somewhere nearby. I am always impressed by their ability to read nature because from only a few small signs on the ground, they can understand many things.
Oh, he now Pick it up.
Come on.
[ __ ] jump.
Lions often prefer resting during the daytime, especially beneath trees or inside tall grass to avoid the intense African heat. Because of this, we always pay attention to shaded areas near natural water sources. The Hadz people understand that wild animals move according to water, especially during the dry season. Places with many tracks from antelope, zebras, or buffalo also have a higher chance of attracting lions.
Good As the sun slowly lowers, the group finally identifies the lion's position near the grassland ahead. Everyone works together carefully using traditional knowledge built through many years of surviving in nature.
Okay, good.
Come on.
You got that. Huh?
After a long period of tracking and approaching carefully, our journey finally becomes successful.
For the Hadz people, this is not only a journey for food, but also a way of preserving ancient survival knowledge within the wildlands of Africa.
Don't do Go.
Yeah.
Would you have enough patience to walk for hours through nature like we do?
>> Tell us in the comments.
Good job.
After returning to the resting area, we begin preparing food while everyone still has enough energy after the long journey outdoors.
For the Hadz people, handling food quickly and carefully is important to keep the meal clean and manageable in natural conditions.
I sit down with several of the men on flat ground and begin arranging the traditional tools we carry with us.
go.
Hey.
First we check all the food and divide it into portions suitable for the whole group. The Hadzaid people are used to doing everything by hand and using simple tools, so the work moves quickly and smoothly. The older men in the group usually have more experience preparing food in nature, so they guide the younger members on how to handle everything efficiently while avoiding waste.
Once everything is ready, the group begins dividing smaller tasks among themselves.
Some clean the tools, others prepare the eating area or organize finished portions to one side. For the Hadzaid people, cooperation during meal preparation is very familiar. Everyone naturally understands what needs to be done without too many words.
During the preparation, I pay attention into how carefully and neatly the older men handle every part. They always try to make the best use of the food collected after a long journey outdoors.
This has existed in Hadz life for many generations because finding food in the wild has never been easy.
Okay.
>> As the meal nears completion, the group begins arranging portions evenly for everyone. The Haday people are used to eating together after long journeys because it gives the group time to rest and recover after many hours spent outdoors.
Even though life in the wild grasslands is difficult, we continue maintaining traditions that have stayed with the tribe for many generations.
If you enjoy outdoor living and survival culture, do not forget to leave a like on the video.
When everything is finally prepared, the whole group sits close together to eat after a long day moving through nature.
I hold my portion of food and sit down on the dry ground beside the other men from the tribe. After many hours walking under the intense heat of the Tanzanian grasslands, everyone is hungry and tired. So, the group begins eating while the food is still warm.
We had say people usually eat together rather than separately. The food is divided fairly evenly so everyone can share the meal after the long journey.
I watch people eating while also resting. After many hours of constant activity outdoors, the atmosphere now feels far more relaxed compared to earlier when we were still crossing the grasslands beneath the harsh daytime heat.
Google.
>> While eating, some people continue using small knives to cut additional portions into easier pieces. The older men in the group always eat slowly and are very familiar with dining outdoors.
For the Haday people, meals like this have been a familiar part of life for many generations.
I continue eating while observing the people around me. Some eat while cleaning the traditional tools used earlier. Others take the opportunity to rest as their bodies slowly recover strength from the warm meal after a long day outdoors.
For us, this time is important because it helps the group recover energy before future journeys through the wild.
As I continue eating, I clearly feel my body recovering after many hours walking through the dry grasslands of Africa.
The smell of food still fills the resting area while everyone continues sitting close together on the ground.
For the Hadz people, meals like this are not only important for maintaining strength, but also one of the few moments when the whole group can truly relax after a long day in nature.
After a long day in the wild lands of Tanzania, I end my journey once again beside the Hadzaid men and the way of life that has stayed with us through many generations.
