Our FIRST EVER Event Is Officially Happening!Ajouté :
The grass is growing, the rain's coming in, so we got to make this quick.
Today's video is brought to you by Brunt. These right here, my Brunt boots.
As you guys know, I've been wearing these for some time now, and they have held up great. Brunt is made by bluecollar workers for bluecollar workers. And if you want some of the most comfortable and durable workware out there, then look no further. I've already showed off the waterproof capabilities of these things. They are waterproof, slip resistant, heat resistant up to 572° on the outsoles, and they are oil resistant as well. They have held up great, and they have been awesome for helping me maintain this property out here. And not only am I wearing my Brunt boots, but we are also in some Brunt work shorts as well. These have these nice little pockets right here. Maybe you're making a run to the junkyard and you need to forget about some bolts in your pocket, or you need one that's more secure with a zipper. So you're not losing more precious items like your cell phone, iPod, who knows, maybe a 10 millimeter socket. And not only do they have the work shorts, which are nice out here in Florida for these hot days, but they have the full size work pants as well. And guys, these things are nice. The material that they are made out of is just super airy and light. They are also stretchy. So one thing that is very important to Brunt is making some of the most comfortable workware out there. All this stuff is designed to be comfortable right out of the box with zero break-in period. These are also water repellent. So, check this out. Get a closeup on this one, Alio.
These are the pants. Look at this.
Watch the water just Oh, dang. Roll right off. Disappeared. Look at that.
So, if you're working somewhere where it's wet, muddy, it will literally just slide off. Look at that. Inside and out.
Super nice material. Yeah, they just make some of the best stuff out there.
You guys can save $10 today by going to bruntworkware.com/boosted and use our code boosted at checkout.
Link will be in the description down below. Thank you to Brunt for sponsoring today's video. What's up, guys? A little bit of a different video today. I've been working on some things behind the scenes that I'm ready to share with you guys. If you didn't know, I'm getting ready to turn 30 years old this year, which is pretty crazy to me. I thought I was going to be 20 forever, but reality's hitting and your boy's about to be 30 and the 20s will be behind me.
And I know a lot of you guys have probably grown up with me, watch videos back when I was like 20 years old. And the channel itself is about to be 10 years old because, you know, I say we got into YouTube about August of 2016 when we started Turbo and the Wagons and all that stuff. So, the channel's coming up on a decade, boys. 10 years. I'm about to be 30.
We're getting old, but I figured we should do something fun this year. And I've always wanted to do an event, and I have pulled the trigger on it. And I and I'm very nervous. I'm excited. But boys, we are having our first event ever for my birthday. And you're all invited, guys. I am super excited because we are back over here at Leadfoot City. You guys have seen this place when it was first being built and it has come a very long ways and this is something I've been wanting to do ever since I saw this place started to get constructed and that is we are throwing our very first event here at Leadfoot City for my birthday which is July 24th. The actual event is going to be July 25th and uh this is going to be our very first event ever and I am very excited and nervous at the same time. We have never held our own event and I thought what better place to do it than over here at Leadfoot City. I'm here with Achilles, the Mr. Mayor over here and uh as you guys know they have an eighth mile strip and we are here today just to kind of >> get a game plan of how the event is going to be laid out and take you guys along through the planning process here.
And I'm hoping a lot of you guys come out. You know, maybe only five people show up. Who knows what's going to happen, but uh looks like we're locking it in. So >> it's going to be great. No worries. No pressure. No pressure, boys.
>> A lot of birthday parties here and a lot of events. So, it's going to be a great day.
>> Yeah. So, I guess while we're here at the drag strip, we'll just go ahead and start by saying the plan is to do an open test and tune during the whole event. It's looking like the event's going to start probably a little bit later in the evening, about 400 p.m. all the way to 10:00 p.m. possibly later if the party's still thriving.
>> Y >> uh it is going to be in July, so it's going to be hot out here in Florida. But we're also worried about rain. We originally had two dates, but because of some other stuff I had scheduled, looks like our locked in date is going to be that 25th of July. And we were thinking about doing some competition, maybe some classes, but I decided I don't want too much stress on this event. And we're just going to go ahead and do open test and tuning all day. We'll have our cars out here as well. If you and a buddy want to come out, possibly line up with one of my drag cars. The drag strip will be open the entire time with no competition going on here, but we will have some competition of some other things going on which we will get to. I guess let's go ahead walk around real quick and uh show you how we think we're going to lay it out and we are always open to suggestions because we still have a couple months until this is actually going to happen. So, we can still tweak some things here and there.
>> Yeah, absolutely.
>> How have you guys been doing in the last couple years since all this is >> it's been non-stop, man. Every weekend different events. Yeah, it looks like you guys have been really busy.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Which is awesome to see.
>> Fourth of July is always a big event here, too. Fireworks and racing and concert.
>> So, I know we were talking a little bit.
You're thinking this might be where we're kind of set up over here cuz obviously for people that come out to the event, we're going to want to do a meet and greet. We're going to try to have all of our friends out here, Brent, PFI, the guys, Argus Brothers. I've tried to talk to everyone to get everyone out here. And we're thinking this area right here is where we'll do a lot of meet and greeting and photos.
Maybe some merchandise going.
>> Yeah, show cars possibly. And then this pavilion is known as the grand old garage.
It's really beautiful at night, lighting and fans and stuff. So, we were thinking to have all your cars and your display, everything set up under here.
Meet and greets. Really close to the start of the drag strip, so you still get to see all the action.
>> Nice. Will this bar be operational right here? Right next to where we're stationed, we >> have the bar. And right next to the bar, we've got the clinic.
>> Oh, and we got the first aid center.
That'll be >> healing up to go next door.
>> No boats, right?
>> No boats.
>> No boats at this point for you. No boats for you.
>> Well, I know you guys have the pond coming up.
>> We'll see by then.
>> I think we take a break on the boats.
>> Yeah, we'll we'll do RC boats.
>> Safer.
>> Oh, yeah. This will be a pretty good spot.
>> Nice and shaded.
>> Yeah, this is where we'll be set up over here. And as much as we love drag racing on the channel, we could have had this event at a, you know, just quarter mile drag strip. But what's really awesome about Leadfoot City is that they have the buildings over here. And each one of them has AC, which once again in the summer is crucial, especially for people needing to have some time to get out of the sun.
They have the cafeteria over there where they can get food. and we'll just be able to have a lot more activities out here than just solely focusing on drag racing, which is what I want. So, obviously, we love the drag racing, but for the event, it'd be nice if we have all kinds of different activities going on so people can kind of bring their friends and family out and just have something to do everywhere else besides the drag strip. What was the name of this area right here?
>> This is the Wheelie Bar.
>> Oh, the Wheelie Bar. That's right. So, we got a nice little spot to eat up here. Little bar. And I know we've already given a tour Leadfoot City, so we're going to basically kind of redo that again, but now it's with the intentions of having our own event here, which is awesome. But yeah, this is a good spot where you can kind of get a view of everything going on. They have the stage over there, which we'll show.
We'll probably have live music here. The burnout pit is back there, which we'll get into in just a second.
>> Yep.
>> This is the biggest building right here, guys.
>> This is the biggest. This is Leadfoot City Hall. It's 20,000 square ft.
>> That AC feels nice. Yeah, fully air conditioned. So, this is the welcome lounge, indoor restrooms, concessions, and then we'll head into the auditorium.
What do you guys typically have going on in here? Because we don't even have an idea of what to do with this space.
>> So, we could do a number of things. This weekend, we're actually having a pro wrestling show in in this >> pro wrestling show.
>> Full ring setup. Craziness.
>> That's wild. Yeah. Yeah, we were considering like trying to get the cars up in here, but they only have the loading dock over there. So, it' be a process. So, it's just going to be easier to leave the cars outside, but it would be nice to do like the meet and greet in the AC.
>> Good. We could set up vendors in here.
We've also like Friday nights typically it's set up like a rec center, so we have like cornhole and axe throwing and pingpong and you know, things like that for families. But >> like I said, boys, this is our first event. Kind of just seeing how it goes.
We are open to suggestions as well.
going to kick on the light.
>> We got a little arcade over here. Some games. Oh, and this is sick back here.
So, last time we were here, this was just like there's just storage and >> random stuff back here in the corner.
But now, >> it's a full uh crazy cart drift track.
>> Crazy cart indoor drift track.
>> Yeah. So, if you guys come, you can come over and rip some crazy carts back over here.
>> Yep.
>> That's just what's cool is you guys just got all these little side things going on. And I really just want people to have something to do and not just have to sit out in the sun all day only watching the drag cars.
>> It's something fun for the whole family to enjoy. Yeah. You know, >> something that your kids can come out and rip the crazy carts, whatever.
>> Everybody. So, now we're going to get the disco lights, the party lights on.
>> The party lights.
>> Here we go. Any second.
Boom.
>> Oh, shoot. Dude, that is sick.
Have a freaking roller rink in here.
>> Maybe roller skating. There you go.
>> Still undecided what we're going to do right here, but open to suggestions.
Like I like you were saying, benders might be a good one or >> just some more activities. Cornhole, some games.
>> Yeah, >> it's a nice hangout spot, >> especially being in the AC.
>> And then of course we got the speak easy back here. The >> speak easy, the hidden lounge, but you got to knock the door to get in. Is >> there a secret password?
There it is. So, I know we were talking about maybe doing like a a VIP ticket.
Maybe that could apply to something over here. Yeah, this is uh typically like an exclusive area in the park.
Of course, behind the hidden door, but some really, you know, luxurious indoor seating, separate full bar. We could do like a spread of food in here.
>> Okay. Yeah, we're almost thinking like doing a VIP >> experience where maybe we have a scheduled time where like me and the guys are in here. Maybe it comes with a free drink on your ticket or something or just access to this room with the food and stuff. So, >> we usually have, you know, uh entertainment on the stage, too.
Different type of music or band.
>> Yeah, this is nice back here. So, they just get like a special bracelet that allows them to maybe come back here. Let uh either a lanyard or bracelet VIP and then they'll get a a passport to get in the door.
>> Okay.
>> Always have a bouncer there.
>> We got a bouncer. We were thinking about maybe doing a event t-shirt like specifically for it and we were thinking maybe even having that come with the VIP ticket.
>> That's a good idea.
>> So they get like a shirt, free drink, and access to the lounge over here or something.
>> Yeah. try to make it a good deal and have a scheduled time that we're just all back here hanging out. Play Amelio in a game of pool over here.
>> Be over here taking people's money on the pool table. And back outside, we got the concert stage over here. I like the palm trees. Those are new.
>> Thank you.
>> Those look nice. So, we do plan on having a live band out here as well. And this is an area where you can just come come hang out, chill, listen to some music, eat some food. Yep.
>> And then right next to the stage back in this corner is the burnout pit. Now, I didn't say we're going to have any competitions going on at the drag strip, but we are planning on doing a burnout competition. And I will be putting up some cash for first, second, and third place just to try to get some burnout cars out here to have a good time. And I mean, that is actually a pretty decent burnout pad size-wise. I actually thought it was smaller. It's uh 120 by 120.
>> Okay. I was a little worried that it might be tighter than what we're used to. That's a good size. And then I might have uh a couple buddies come out here to judge and announce it over here in the Send It Square.
>> This is called Send It Square. Nice.
Yeah, it's a good size. I know we were talking about the the pond earlier.
Looks like you guys are getting it pretty dug out over there.
>> Still going. still going. Last bit of construction is that pond. So, can't wait to get that done.
>> When you plan on having the pond ready.
I >> was wanting to have it done last year.
So, we'll see how it goes now. But sometime end of the year should be ready.
>> Cool.
>> Yep.
>> It would be kind of cool to give some people rides in the K series jetboat.
Some very safe rides where we don't need first aid.
>> That's right. So, yeah, that's the burnout pad. Uh I'm not 100% sure on the prizes just yet. We'll kind of maybe lock that in.
>> I mean, by the time this video goes up, we're going to need to have the tickets and everything available. I was honestly thinking like first place for the burnout comp will probably be like a,000 bucks. Second 500, third 250.
>> Nothing huge, but I at least want to try to get something out there to get people to show up and have something to something to compete for. And I'm pretty sure whatever competition we do for the burnout, it's just going to be one big competition. I don't think we're going to be breaking it up into classes cuz I don't plan on having a huge amount of burnout cars out here. So, we just don't know how this event's going to go. So, I'm trying to keep everything as simple as possible and we don't over complicate ourselves too much because we're new to all this. So, any improvements we can make going forward, if it's successful, we will improve on or if this event bombs, you know, then >> we'll just never do it again.
>> What do you call this? The cafeteria grill.
>> Gearhead Grill is the name.
>> Gearhead Grill.
>> Nice. So, just another spot where you can come grab a drink, get out of the sun. Looks like they got a spot for a DJ up there.
>> DJ dance floor. I heard you're good at break dancing. We might >> definitely not good at break dancing.
>> Man, what if we got some professional break dancers out here? That'd be crazy.
>> Jabawakis.
>> Is that what they're called?
>> The Jabawakis.
>> Oh, is that the one group that's really good? Yeah.
>> Full bar setup again. Additional restrooms.
>> Do they serve food at this one or is it mainly just drinks?
>> We do some food. light concessions >> like pretzels and stuff like that. Okay.
>> Nachos. Yeah.
>> And then we'll probably have a few food trucks out here as well.
>> A bunch of food trucks.
>> Make sure everyone has something to eat.
That's what's nice too is you have so many different locations to get food that >> it other events, you know, it's only just from what I've seen, there's only like two spots to get food and the line is just stupid long and it takes forever and >> you're standing in the sun to get food.
So, at least if you just need a quick water or something, you don't have to wait in the sun to do that.
>> We're very big on hospitality here. So, multiple food areas. We've got five separate bars on the property. So, if you're hungry or thirsty, you'll be able to get taken care of no matter where you are in the property. So, looks like you guys also have some bathrooms back over there.
>> Yep.
>> Some outdoor tables.
And then this back over here behind the sign, this is the main entrance, correct? Yeah, that's the main entrance for spectators >> in between these two buildings.
>> Big uh grass field for general mission parking.
>> And then there's nothing going on inside of these buildings.
>> Not for this event, but uh in between here, you know, a lot of possibilities. You could have vendors set up. You could have show cars.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah. I like the idea of doing cuz we were kind of looking at the map of the place. I like the idea when you mentioned that of doing the cars out here.
>> Yeah. So, what we're thinking, guys, we might have an option on there as well. I don't know if that'd be included with if we do the VIP or it's its own thing like admission plus showc car entry or something. But either way, I'd love to line this entrance right here with your guys' car. They decide to show up and bring your own project car because that's >> that's room for at least what a 100 cars right there. Almost >> easily >> like 50 on each side. Yeah, >> maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but that's a lot of cars all the way down both lanes there. So, I think we do like a nice diagonal park of all the cars down the entrance. And if we have any room back over there, maybe we can do a VIP section, but we're going to have a few vendors here as well, just all of our friends that come out with their tents and things like that. So, I'm not sure how much room we'll have for vehicles inside. We'll map it all out, >> but >> but it looks really beautiful at night, too, with all the lights and >> Oh, yeah. I bet >> everything's set up.
>> And what's nice is they have multiple maps of all of Leadoot City posted up everywhere. So, kind of get a good idea of where everything's at. And then, so right up here where we're about to walk, this will be the main parking for all the drag racers. Correct.
>> Yep. Yep.
>> So, that's going to be right back over there. This is all the grass parking for spectators. Yeah. Let's go ahead and talk about the uh drag racing parking because something I thought that would have been cool is if we could have got some drifters out here because they do a lot of drift events here at Leadfoot City as well. But I didn't realize that when they have drifting going on, the drag strip turns into the pits for the drift cars and when they have drag racing going on, the drift pad turns into pits for the drag cars. So, you kind of have to have one or the other.
So, there's a good chance we won't have any drifting going on out here.
I was almost thinking maybe we could like splice it in half and maybe one half is drifting and one half is pits, but I don't know how complicated we want to get with that yet. I mean, when you guys do drift or uh drag events, is this pretty much all the way full every time >> or do you have events where you could almost get away with just half of it depending on how many tickets we sell?
>> We've done some where we split it up. So like So we can split it, but for drifting >> you really need a lot of room. So for like real drifting, we could do like exhibition, maybe something smaller, but >> we'd probably just end up leaving it to the drag racers.
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> That' probably be the best bet. And then I guess depending on how the turnout is and how it turns out, we could experiment in the future. But >> it's like I want to I want to have so many people and things going on, but I also don't want to over complicate the event because I also think simple is is key, especially for our first one.
>> Yeah, I agree. I think you're going to fill up this place though.
>> Yeah, but I'm sure you've filled this pretty easily just like test and tuning with >> Oh, yeah.
>> with >> Oh, yeah.
>> pits and drag cars. So, yeah, we'll probably plan on that. Probably no slidy boys.
>> It's about a/4 mile worth of shut down, eighth mile. It's full concrete to the end. But for this event, like we said, it's not competitive, so to speak. It's more just a fun day of racing. So, >> yeah. I figured it'd be cool. I'll have as many drag cars out as I can. like hopefully my hatch, the route to see the MR2, probably do an exhibition in that.
But I am also open to running against any random fan. You could bring your mom's minivan and I'll race it in my MR2. Like, I don't care.
>> Or race it in your van.
>> Or race it in my van.
>> We're preparing for the event.
>> Oh yeah. Got the beer truck coming.
>> We've also got on the drag strip if you wanted to run the actual street lights.
Oh yeah.
>> Not to traditional tree, >> just going from red to green.
>> Yeah.
>> I don't think there's too much more else to talk about right now. We're still planning some things out. And I was talking to Evan about getting like some dunk tanks out here. So, I think that would be awesome. I feel like we got to have a dunk tank cuz we had that one for my first birthday that Brent always got.
And it'd be nice to >> You're going to go in it?
>> Oh, I'll definitely go in it. Especially if it's at the end of July. We're thinking about maybe even having some animals over here possibly. I was like, if we could get a parrot over here, that'd be sweet.
>> I think a parrot parrot on your arm that would do well.
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> I just I just want to see a guy with a parrot. You know, you're in Florida at a Florida event and I just want to see a big macaw that could be erased.
>> But we don't want to go too crazy, but this is going to be our first event over here at Leadfoot City for my birthday, and I wanted to celebrate it with you guys. So, like I said, I'm kind of nervous about it. I don't know what we're gonna >> it's going to be all good >> what we're going to see for the turnout, but I'm hoping uh you guys will show out for us over here. It is in Brooksville.
If you don't know where Lead Foot City is, feel free to look it up and uh see if you can make it out cuz by the time you're watching this video, we should have the tickets ready to go and then those should be available at leadfoot city.com.
>> City.com.
>> And I almost forgot, we didn't even talk about one of the main competitions that I wanted to have out here and that is a two-step battle. So, I am inviting anyone out that has a rowdy twostep.
Obviously, I might have a couple of my cars out there, but I'm going to do a first, second, third place for that as well. $1,000, first place prize on that.
$500, second, 250, third. And the rowdiest two-step car should come out here, make some noise because it's been a while since we've had a good two-step battle, boys. We got the Vargas brothers coming. I'm sure they're going to turn it up. They freaking made us blow up our car last time we had a twostep battle.
So, I think that'll be really cool. Give something for the fans to see. And that will be an option on the website as well if you want a twostep battle ticket or a burnout competition ticket or just general admission VIP. We're still working on all that. But by the time you see this video, it should be live on the site and we'll go from there.
>> Awesome.
>> It's going to be great, man.
>> I'm excited, man.
>> No sweat. It's going to be all be good.
>> Yeah. You know, hey, if just our boys show up, just our friends and no spectators, we're still going to have a good time either way.
>> That's it. So, I'm grateful for the opportunity and you guys will have full staff here taking care of all the concessions, everything. They have a whole crew in the background to keep it going. All we have to do is really just show up and have fun. So, >> how nice is that?
>> We'll have our merch booth here as well, and I'm sure we'll have many other friends and family coming out with their merchandise as well and just vendors, all that good stuff. So, we're going to leave it there, but we got some time to prepare and we got some cars to get running for the event here.
>> Let's do it.
>> Yes, sir. We'll see you guys Leadfoot City July 25th. And I almost forgot to mention, when you do check out, if you use code boosted boys, you will get 10% off your tickets. And that will apply for everything as far as competition, general admission, >> everything across the board. And you can use that code at the website leadfootcity.com.
Get your tickets early, save, and if you use the code boosted boys at checkout, you'll save even more.
>> Yeah, cuz you're saying if they wait till it's closer to the event, the price starts to go up a little bit. price always goes up. So, don't don't wait don't wait till like the week of or day before and get your ticket because it might even be sold out by then.
>> Yeah. I mean, ideally, if you're watching this and you think you're going to make it, the sooner you can get your tickets so we know what to prepare for would be awesome. So, >> very good.
>> Yeah. See you guys there. Anyways, guys, that's going to wrap up this video. Like I said, a little bit of a different one.
Just kind of planning some things out at Leadfoot City. Figured I'd take you guys along with us for the uh planning phase there. and I am open to suggestions, but at the time of watching this video, tickets will be live if you guys want to try to make it out to our event. We're going to have a ton of friends out there. This stuff has already been explained, but more uh facts and details will come out as time goes on. But I got Brent coming out, the Vargas Brothers, my friend Davey, CJ Race Cars. We're going to try to have as many friends out there as we can and just have a good time and hang out for my birthday for our very first event. So, hope to see you guys there. Hope you're excited and uh we'll see you later.
