[00:00:00]So, we are live now on both Instagram and YouTube at the same time taking questions about quitting nicotine, cannabis, alcohol, perhaps other substances. If you guys are new here and you wind up enjoying the content in this video, I put a link in the video description where you can learn more or I put a link in my bio if you're tuning in from Instagram. Okay, guys. So, I'm going to be bouncing back and forth between questions on Instagram and YouTube while I'm going through this live today because I'm streaming Instagram through my phone and I'm streaming YouTube through my computer.

[00:00:35]If I really should have done this right, I could have set up another stream for Tik Tok on one of my other phones, but I didn't. So, basically how this works, guys, what we're going to do is um if you have questions about quitting nicotine, cannabis, alcohol, ask ask me questions and then I will do my best to give you guys um feedback on that. Okay?

[00:00:56]Uh but like it's going to start with asking questions. Thoughts on testosterone addictions? Yeah, I won't go into it now, but this this is this is not uncommon, right? people start taking gear and then, you know, they come off gear and they have a really hard time.

[00:01:12]It can obviously negatively impact a person's mental health, right? Going from a certain size to a different size and um it can impact their physical health as well, too. But not something that I cover in detail on my channel.

[00:01:25]It's something we talk about. It's something I can help with, but not not something that that a lot of people are going to be here for, though. Um, okay.

[00:01:32]Do you think someone should quit weed if it does help them? it does actually help them. Like, am I against cannabis as a whole? Absolutely not. Like, no. If you are smoking weed or you are using drugs and it is legitimately helping you, continue using that substance like that.

[00:01:51]If a substance is enhancing your quality of life, why would you stop using it?

[00:01:55]But there's a big catch to that. Here's the thing. Most people struggling with substance use are fully convinced that that drug is helping them despite the fact when I was addicted to weed and other substances that I was struggling.

[00:02:10]I legitimately thought that those drugs were helping me. I thought it was helping relieve stress. I thought it was helping relieve anxiety. I thought smoking weed and drinking alcohol were enhancing my social situations. So what I would say to you is or to that person who feels that it actually helps them is you deeply have to question your convictions surrounding that substance use and you have to figure out what is true and what is false about using that substance. Okay. So that's probably one of the biggest things I I I would tell you on that. Now what's the biggest benefit from quitting drugs? Well, it's really going to vary from person to person, right? One person might uh have major negative health consequences to their substance use and quitting might restore their physical health. Another person could be using drugs and not experiencing physical health negatives.

[00:03:03]So that's a very individualized question. In my case, it was my presence, my ability to become present in both the bad and the good moments was one of the biggest benefits. The secondary benefit that I got was the mindset that developed from quitting substances. Okay? And what I mean by that is this. I quit drugs, something that was very hard for me to do at the time, something that I thought I was never going to achieve. And that unlocked another level of mindset for me. It unlocked a new level of tenacity, grit, discipline, commitment. And I was able to sharpen those muscles and then convert them to other aspects of my life to my relationships to my career to my finances to my physical health and my physical performance. So for me that was the biggest benefit of quitting. It was taking all the things that I learned from quitting drugs and applying it to other aspects of my life to level up.

[00:04:06]And I and I've done that in ways that I never imagined could have been conceivable. Okay. Um but that's going to vary from person to person what the biggest benefit is that a person's going to get. Okay. Physical versus mental addictions. Well uh I mean any So this is a loaded question, right? So like alcohol, cannabis, even nicotine, all these things can create some degree of physical dependence to the substance.

[00:04:34]Especially if you're talking about like alcohol and benzo, right? that dependence can become lethal when a person if they were just to stop cold turkey and they were highly physically dependent. The detox could cause seizures and brain damage and kill a person. Okay. Now, keep in mind guys, if you're watching this and you need help with that stuff, bad alcohol, substance use, we uh actually collaborate with medical doctors and we can provide inhome detoxes. You don't got to go to rehab, you don't got to go to facility, none of that BS. Um again link in pinned comment video description or in the Instagram bio. Now so that's a physical dependence. You physically need the substance. Cannabis creates a very strong physical dependence weed. And the reason for that is because if you smoke a lot of weed your body downregulates its own endocanabonoid production and then you are physically dependent upon cannabis to sleep to experience joy to eat food to whatever any number of emotional things. Okay. Um or physical things. I mean, now that's physical.

[00:05:35]Mental is just like you enjoy doing something or you believe you do, so you keep doing that thing over and over and over again. Anything, any behavior can come with addiction. Okay? Any behavior can come with that. I could get addicted to staring at paint dry on the wall if that was an activity that stimulated dopamine in my brain. And a lot of people ask me that question, the difference between physical versus mental and they they they say like, "Oh, you can't become physically addicted to weed." You absolutely can. I would argue more than other substances you can because of the presence of your endocanabonoid system. Um, if it's the end of the world, would I smoke weed after almost eight months? Because I did. Uh, no. I I wouldn't. I don't. If it's the end of the world, it's the end of the world. Like, but here's the deal.

[00:06:25]Like if I wanted to smoke weed, I would if I wanted to smoke weed right now, I'd smoke weed. It doesn't need to be the end of the world. Like if I if I felt like smoking again, I would smoke again.

[00:06:36]I don't need an excuse to go do that. Um but like to your question, I think what you're saying is if life gets really bad, would I smoke again? And I have had bouts of very large challenges in my life. I had family members with cancer.

[00:06:52]My wife had a miscarriage. Uh, we've had major home renovations. I've had major trials and tribulations across my three businesses over the last years. And I've had zero desire to smoke. So, as far as I'm concerned, I've had moments in my life while I'm alive where it felt like my world was ending. Right? When when my wife had that miscarriage, it felt like my world was ending. My little world, right, that was relevant to me. So, I and no, I had no desire to smoke. If I wanted to smoke, I would smoke. I don't need an excuse to do it, right? So, um, good question though. Um, all right. Uh, thank you Jay Walt for saying thank you to me. That's very, very kind of you for saying that. Okay. Someone asked me on Instagram, what is your best advice to help stop counting sober days and just identify as a non-user, not a past user.

[00:07:43]It all it all starts with how you speak about yourself. Don't talk about yourself as an user. Just speak about yourself as a human being. Okay? Um, stop stop thinking of yourself as an addict. Stop thinking of yourself as someone who had an addiction, a disease.

[00:07:57]How do you stop counting days? You just you just stop counting days. I think there's relevance to maybe counting the first month, the first 90 days, but beyond that, I don't really see it necessary because counting in that time frame can help you keep track of like where you're at in your detox. Um, what do I think of zero nicotine vapes while trying to quit vaping? It's an option. I don't think it's a necessary option, but it's an option. Um, you know, zero nicotine vapes aren't going to be safer than nicotine containing vapes, though, right? It's not really like so much the nicotine that's the most harmful thing in a vape. I could go on a major side tangent with this. You see these vapes that are promoted with like mullen vapes and B12 vapes and melatonin vapes. It's it's still the same garbage. like the damage to your lungs, the negative side effects from a lung health and cardiac standpoint are going to be the same.

[00:08:51]Okay. Um you're just not getting nicotine, which again nicotine isn't ne it's it can make it addicting, but it's not necessarily the thing that makes vaping harmful. Okay. So keep that in mind. Is it true that weed withdrawal is more intense nowadays, especially with the potency? Absolutely. Yeah. Uh 100%.

[00:09:10]Weed withdrawal is significantly more intense nowadays because of the potency that's developed without a question. Um people say that about painkillers then get physically dependent and can't get off. Absolutely. This is absolutely true. The physical dependence um right uh painkillers, alcohol, cannabis, all these things guys are impacting something. Your endocanabonoid system, your GABA system, other neurotransmitters in your brain, right?

[00:09:36]Literally like the opioid pathways in your body, right? All these things are are impacted by drugs. Um, I'm trying to quit smoking because I have to have back surgery. I'm struggling severely and I feel I can't do it. I'll tell you why you're struggling. You're struggling to quit smoking because you have to have back surgery. Why are they making you quit for back surgery? Because if you have surgery and you smoke, I'm guessing you're talking about cigarettes. Uh, you increase your risk of a failed spinal surgery. Now, why is it you're struggling to stop? I can answer this for you. One, because you are being forced to stop for a surgery, which creates you quitting from a place of deprivation. I'm depriving myself of something that I enjoy because I'm being forced to stop. So that's problem number one. Problem number two is you are having back surgery. You are stressed.

[00:10:31]There is a very high likelihood that you smoke to relieve stress. So, here you are experiencing more stress, being forced to stop, which is also a stressful situation, feeling like you're depriving yourself of something, and boom, you're smoking more. But yes, I would highly advise stopping before surgery at least a few weeks because unfortunately surgeons don't like doing surgery, orthopedic surgery, especially on the spine when it comes to smoking because smoking can like damage blood flow and other things like that and it could result in a in a um a second surgery or or maybe even more. Okay. Um Okay. Someone says, "I think all the stuff they put in it and also what they smoke it in blunts." Yeah, I'd say one of the biggest things leaning to more substance use, especially in the cannabis space, would be the um the cartridges, dab pens, cartridges, things like that. You know, it's funny, uh Sharon, with the smoking. We recently worked I was recently working with a psychiatrist inside our one-on-one uh addiction exit protocol. For those of you guys that don't know, I work directly with people one-on-one.

[00:11:38]predominantly I work with business owners, entrepreneurs, high level professionals, people, MDs, attorneys, professional licensing. And the psychiatrist was like, "I don't get it.

[00:11:47]I just got diagnosed with cancer and I'm smoking more than ever. What is going on with me?" And I kind of gave him a similar rundown that I just gave to you.

[00:11:55]Uh Sharon, I'll say this. Even if you were to switch temporarily to nicotine pouches or lower milligram nicotine products, maybe you get away from smoking and use pouches or something, lower milligram pouches for the time being. Even that's going to be better than like not changing anything at all.

[00:12:15]Okay. So, um All right. Awesome, Kel.

[00:12:19]Awesome. You stopped smoking uh in August and drinking and my videos helped you a lot. That's fantastic. Good to hear. Um, okay. How long do cravings last with nicotine? It really depends on the person, right? I've had people that I've worked with where we've eliminated nicotine cravings within a week or two.

[00:12:36]Uh, I've seen other people claim to struggle their entire life with cravings. But listen, like cravings come down to belief systems. Why do you crave the drug? What is it you think it's going to do for you? If I think that nicotine is going to relieve my stress or enhance uh a celebration with friends or whatever, then I'm going to crave it more. Now, yes, there is the physical aspect of a nicotine craving because you have billions of more active nicotine receptors than when you consume it than someone who doesn't regularly. But those, you know, after what 3 to 5 days, nicotine is pretty much out of your body. Two weeks, the byproducts of nicotine are out of your body. Certainly within 90 days you're very much over nicotine. So beyond that it just becomes like very very much psychological. You have the physical cravings that are created during detox and withdrawal.

[00:13:28]Then you just have like the psychological aspects of cravings from withdrawal. Why would I crave excuse me why would I crave something if I don't see value in consuming that something?

[00:13:40]Okay so tough question. uh cakes for two to three days. I'm not sure what that question is, Daniel. Um uh okay, let's see here. Uh I quit 60 I quit 60 years of smoking uh cannabis January 1st. Now I'm 5 months without cannabis. Going well with help from practicing tai chi and hours in the garden. Constipation since I quit. Yeah, I mean five months is a long time to be dealing with constipation. You definitely will see uh constipation or diarrhea when someone first stops. I would start with basic over-the-counter stuff like you could try like talk to your doctor first please. But you could talk to your doctor about trying Mirax. You could look into using Sienna uh the herbal supplement to help with constipation.

[00:14:28]Just careful that can cause cramping the Sienna can. Um, you could also look into a a vitamin called ben foetamine that plays a big role in like GI health.

[00:14:39]Okay, it's the fat soluble version of uh vitamin B1. You could look into a good probiotic probably wouldn't be a bad idea for you. Okay. Um, I think we'd also have to do an assessment of your overall nutrition. What foods are you eating? Are you exercising regularly?

[00:14:57]Are you well hydrated throughout the day? There's a lot of things that can play a role in constipation, but constipation or diarrhea or mixed symptoms of IBS are very common when someone quits cannabis because your endocanabonoid system plays a huge role in regulating gut health and digestion.

[00:15:14]So, um, that doesn't shock me that you're experienc I hear this all the time from people, especially guys, we've worked with a lot of people who suffer from a horrible condition that I suffered from too at one point called cannabonoid hypermesis syndrome. And this is like an extreme version of endocanabonoid system dysregulation or at least it's speculated to be that severely negative impacts GI health in the gut. But I would start with some of those things. When it comes to the constipation, I'd start with some of the the basics. Um, uh, Cool. Orisa said, "Alan Carr saved me, weed and nicotine."

[00:15:50]Alan Carr, you can read his books.

[00:15:52]They're awesome. The easy way to quit weed, the easy way to quit smoking. I would highly recommend them if you haven't read them. Um, you know, I tell people, uh, for those of you that have read Alen Carr's books, for those of you that have been to the Alen Carr workshops and it's failed you, uh, we can help with that. You know, I've had lots of people who read the books, they did good, but then they went back to it.

[00:16:11]They did the in-person seminar, but then they went back to it. Alan Carr is great. The thing I say about Alan Carr, is, you know, Alen Carr's been dead for about 10 years. And, um, you know, there's a big difference between a book and actually having one-on-one accountability and support. But I will tell you, Koolissa, uh, they're phenomenal books. They've probably helped more people overcome substance use than anything else in the world to date. And those were some of the first books that really opened my eyes uh to stopping the use of of various substances. Okay, so excellent books. Um uh you notice your appetite's better without weed. Yes, very common. Uh little wee man says, I'm so depressed because of weed. So I think little we uh wee wee man, you have to break that down. Um like why are you depressed because of weed? Is it because it's what it's doing to your endocanabonoid system? Or is it the consequences of consuming cannabis? The negative impacts it's having on your life are in fact depressing. I've worked with tons of people where cannabis is negatively impacting their their uh family, their relationship with their significant other. It could be negatively impacting their career performance, their presence, right? And the consequences of cannabis consumption can have people finding themselves in very depressing situations. So, right, are you depressed or is your situation just depressing because of cannabis continued cannabis consumption? That's a good question to start to ask yourself. Okay. Or is it just messing with your endocanabonoid system and you're depressed because of that? Right. Um, okay. Very good. Uh, yep, yep, yep. Watching on Instagram and YouTube. Okay. Yeah. vivid dreams since stopping weed is very normal. You're getting the REM rebound sleep, the dream sleep rebound. Very, very normal. Wait until you start getting dreams of um using using the substance again. So, this is very very common. Someone quits, you know, smoking, vaping, whatever the behavior is, and then they actually start getting dreams that like they relapsed or they used the substance again. Very common. But that REM sleep is very important when you quit cannabis and it's a very good indication that healing in the brain is occurring. Okay.

[00:18:56]Um so that's a good thing. No desire is freedom. Yes, that is freedom. My um you know it's so funny. So many people will say to me, I smoke weed to escape. I smoke weed to do this. I smoke weed to do that. And then in the next sentence they'll say but I'm stuck in this cycle of weed. I I feel trapped by this addiction. And I'm like, that's weird.

[00:19:20]You smoke weed to escape, but you're literally describing a small personal hell that this it like you literally feel like you're in a small prison of hell when you're addicted. So, remind me again, how are you escaping smoking more? This is how we start to dismantle people's beliefs and perceptions. So, very interesting. Um, on Instagram, we have a comment. I've been addicted to cannabis for 11 years. I'm a week sober, but I still feel the derelization symptoms, flashbacks of being high. How do I cope with these distortions? Uh, it takes time and a lot of derilization comes down to uh lifestyle modification to be honest. talk therapy, different grounding techniques, any self-help technique you could think of, focusing on exercise, nutrition, really like basic lifestyle stuff. When it comes to that, there are um DPDR and derilization coaches who have some very good YouTube channels and Instagram accounts, and I'll tell you largely what they talk about and coach on is lifestyle modification. But I do think uh checking out some of their content could be very helpful because you'll find valuable information that you can relate to.

[00:20:32]Okay. Also, I would tell you my friend, you're you're a week in, so you're you're very early into it. This will eventually pass, but a week in you would kind of expect these symptoms to be there. And if you really struggle with that, then, you know, in some instances, you may need a temporary bridge with medication, which again, guys, we work with uh we have right I do one-on-one coaching. I have medical doctors on my team that can provide at-ome detoxes for people. We really have a crazy setup when it comes to helping people with this stuff. Again, if you are business owner, entrepreneur, highle professional, and you want to quit efficiently, effectively, and privately without putting your public image at risk, I put a link in my Instagram bio or link in the video description or pin comment to this video. Okay, let's see here. Um, let's see here. Let's see. You have to be ready to quit. It's hard unless you are prepared. I slowly stopped only smoking night for two years. Then I just stopped. Yeah, you do have to be ready to stop. Um there's no question about that. You you you you absolutely have to be ready to stop.

[00:21:40]Okay. Um Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Let's see here. Um do you have a platform to go on one for help with stopping physically dependent substances? Yeah, D, the answer is I'm not sure what you're asking me, but yes, we have one-on-one services where I work directly with people one-on-one and or medical doctors work with you one-on-one if we need them to intervene. I newly soberish edibles effed me up worse than smoking being off them. Uh yeah, edibles are edibles can be very rough. They're they're one of the top leading re reasons for emergency room visits for mental health crisises, right? A lot of people use edibles or if they're new to edibles, they don't realize that it takes, you know, about 90 minutes for that edible to kick in and then they find themselves in a a very very rough spot very quickly. Um let's see here. Uh yeah, you have to quit for surgery. Um okay, let's see.

[00:22:48]Um, I have mainly quit so I can get a better job and to be better off financially, but slowly quitting over time. There's nothing wrong with tapering if you're trying to quit. There's nothing wrong with taking a tapered approach. That's totally fine. Uh, Crusty Dolphin, uh, thanks for being a longtime follower on Instagram. That was before I would have been popular on there, and I'm still not that popular on there. But yeah, uh I want to lean into my creativity and appreciation of the novelty that emits from that. That my friend is a great re reason to quit substances. Over time, repetitive substance use starts to rob a person of novelty and creativity. People will literally quit drugs because they are bored of doing the same thing over and over again when every day looks the same. Wake up, smoke. Go to bed, smoke.

[00:23:39]Go to bed, jerk off. wake up, light a cigarette, do it again, put it out, light another one. That literally becomes boring. That actually lacks creativity. And then here's what happens. People will do that over and over again. And and they'll say, "Oh, weed helps with my creativity." But, uh, it's destroying my marriage. It's destroying my physical health. Uh, I'm financially, you know, becoming stressed because it's it's, you know, whatever to my career. I'm not performing at my best. I've lost confidence in myself because I've tried to quit so many times and failed. And I'm like, okay, you have all that stuff on your mind. And you, where's the room for creativity when you're trying to manage all of those other problems? Like, where do you get a minute to get a creative thought in your mind? Right. So, um, we got Trent, two years nicotine free thanks to my help.

[00:24:34]Anytime, Trent. I'm happy to help. Um, my symptoms are mild after smoking for 25 years. 4 days in, will they get worse? One handle 81. I I can't say for sure, but probably not. You know, this is why I tell people, look, everyone's experience quitting is very different.

[00:24:52]Different quit attempts can be different experiences when it comes to withdrawal and detox symptoms. It's everyone's experiences are just dramatically different. Okay. Um, so that's that's what I would tell you. There's this is what I would say. If you feel good, you feel good. Don't stress over it right now. That's it. That's what I tell you. Um, one week vape free from watching all my videos. You're feeling good about it.

[00:25:27]Absolutely. You have billions of endockanabonoid receptors in your GI system and in your bowels. And if you want to see an extreme version of marijuana impacting your bowels, Google cannabonoid hyperemesis syndrome or CHS.

[00:25:47]I had an older gentleman uh you know this gentleman's a retired individual ran a monster business monster CPA firm and he was been struggling with cannabis and he calls me and he's like on the Zoom call and he's like looking at me kind of squinting and he's like I got to tell you I have CHS and I'm and this guy's like maybe in his 70s and I'm like you you you have cannabonoid hyperemesis syndrome. Oh I usually see that in younger people. He's like, "No, I'm 70 whatever. I have can't see [ __ ] syndrome." And I was like, "Oh, that's funny." Okay. Um, all right. Now, uh, how do you rewire your brain from drinking and smoking weed? You stop drinking and smoking weed and you start taking care of yourself. Now, how someone is going to rewire their brain is going to vary dramatically because I don't know what the consequences of you drinking and smoking weed are. This is a big thing that I talk to people about when I work with them one-on-one. And I say, "What are your expectations in quitting this substance? What are you hoping to achieve in quitting this substance?" Because let's say you're doing all the healthy stuff. You're eating better. You're exercising. You're reading more. You're scrolling less on your phone. You're doing all the the good thing. You're right. All the good things. You're getting sunlight.

[00:27:03]Sleeping is a big thing to rewire your brain. But let's say you're stressed because of how this substance has damaged your relationship with your wife or your husband. Well, guess what? Your brain's not going to rewire tremendously until you address that. You know, I I used to talk to people like when I started doing this early on and I would just, you know, work with anyone and everyone, you know, a lot of people would be in financial situations because of their substance use and they'd be like, I got to regulate my nervous system. And I was like, "No, you got to make more effing money to get your nervous system regulated. You're you're constantly living in fight or flight because you can't afford to live. Like, start there." Like, skill like do that first, you know? So, very very interesting. Thank you, Melody. I appreciate it. I appreciate it. Um I I hope uh uh quitting vaping is going well for you. I think it was vaping if I recall correctly from our conversation.

[00:27:58]If I'm mixing you up with someone else, I apologize. Um uh but yeah, rewiring the brain is honestly it's simple. It's self-care and doing common look when you stop the use of a substance. There is no secret to get I mean there's some things to get better but there's no secret like do things that should make you feel good. Get decent sleep. Partake in things that you enjoy. Don't be on your phone too much. Don't eat [ __ ] food all the time. Don't Right. Like this is it.

[00:28:26]This is how you start to rewire your brain. Now, some people may need to process past traumas, things like that, PTSD, right? There may be some other thing, you know, great book on that. The body keeps the score for anyone who's struggling with that stuff. Maybe you need EDMR therapy. Clinical hypnosis is a fantastic way to start rewiring brain and subconscious belief stuffs. Talk therapy. So many things, my friends. So many things. Um, nicotine is destroying my digestive system real time. my colon and anus and cardiovascular system. My veins and my arteries. I quit all after GI imaging now advanced deterioration.

[00:29:07]Yeah, unfortunately the there, you know, look, you can enjoy a drug as much as you want. That doesn't mean there's not going to be consequences. So, this is addiction to adult media content. I have a tip for anyone right now that's struggling with PMO. They have a course that I think is $165 when it comes to PMO and it is one of the best things out there. Okay, now here's the deal though. Any compulsive behavior. Yeah, that's that that's exactly what I thought. Okay, Melody.

What do you think you're getting from watching adult media content? Do you think it's giving you pleasure? Do you think it's giving you excitement? Do you think it's giving you novelty? Is it giving you stress relief? It is it helping you escape from loneliness?

[00:30:52]Maybe you're married and uh who knows, right? Maybe you're watching it with your partner and it's enhancing things for you. Question what you think you're getting from it. Now, I'll tell you one of the biggest things I did to stop with adult media content, full disclosure, like social media played a huge role for me in that. like I I you know I come home at night, I'd be like, you know what, instead of watching adult media content, I'm just gonna make a video about something. I'm just gonna edit this video. I'm gonna make a post. I'm gonna learn this new skill. Uh so that was largely my thing. That and reading were my two biggest things to become PMO. And then really for me, a large part of it was escape, like getting rid of the other substances. So now like I'm not stoned at night. I'm not feeling like crap about myself. I'm not hung over. I'm feeling better now. I'm less inclined to to watch, you know, pornography, right? Like that is that's just how it was. So maybe quitting PMO is assessing other behaviors in your life that might be leading into that behavior, right? Okay. Um, yeah, flavored toothpicks are awesome, guys.

[00:32:49]But for most people, it's not going to be a flavored toothpick or a supplement that does it. th those things are supplemental to the proper mindset, the proper belief systems, working towards your expectations becoming reality, right? So, um, can I look into frontal leaf mixing this in tobacco and their cannabis? I'll look into it. I've never heard of it before. I'll look into it.

[00:33:12]Um, I was struggling to return to came sober. My use picked up heavily, but finally quit again two weeks ago.

[00:33:19]Awesome. Um, okay. Let's see here.

[00:33:22]All right. Uh, okay. I used to get laid a lot when I was drunk. Now I don't get any when I'm sober. What's the solution? Like, okay, here's the deal. Yes, alcohol can lower your inhibi. This is a very loaded question because I don't know, maybe you're having ethical concerns about it now because you're sober and you're thinking about the situation differently, ethically. I was working with someone the other day and this individual was consuming cannabis and when they quit they developed erectile dysfunction and I was like,"Well, what's the deal with that?" And they were like, "You know, I'm I you know, I I cheat on my wife a lot." And I was like, "All right. Um, not great, but okay. So, what are you asking me?" And they're like, "I don't understand. When I'm, you know, cheating on my wife when I'm not high, I I I have this problem now." And I'm like, well, maybe you're not high and your conscious is kicking in. You know, like maybe the guilt is overwhelming you now. Oh, we didn't think of that before.

[00:34:25]Okay. So, I don't know what your issue is, but I can tell you this. I know plenty of people who get drunk and still can't get laid, right? Like, I was a prime example of that when I was intoxicated all the time. So, like the idea that alcohol has some magical ability to get you laid is preposterous.

[00:34:44]Now, you thinking that is enough to f with a sober version of you, though. And what you're saying is not outrageous, right? People say this all the time. Oh, without alcohol, I'm not as social. I'm not as funny. Okay, maybe you're not.

[00:34:58]But like, maybe that's true, but like, okay, so do the benefits of drinking alcohol outweigh the negatives? I don't know, you know? And also like chew rock 6833. I don't know who you are or how old you are, but like I don't know. Do you value anything else in life that perhaps that substance was impacting?

[00:35:17]Maybe you shouldn't value getting laid as highly as you do right now. Maybe there's some other things you should focus on. Maybe not. Maybe that's all you want to do. And if that's all you want to do, good for you. Okay. Um yeah.

[00:35:28]Uh prescription strength laxative. Sure.

[00:35:31]For constipation. Sure. Sure. Um, yeah, you've been smoking for five years since I started making videos. Um, okay. Yep, no problem. I'm not sure what to do with that. My withdrawal symptoms are much more mild this time around. The eight months sober really made you realize how much you value sobriety. Awesome.

[00:35:51]Fantastic. Yep. I quit opioids and tobacco, but you've been using marijuana to keep from relapsing. What would I advise? If cannabis is helping you and it's been an effective form of harm reduction for you, keep using it. Okay?

[00:36:08]But like if cannabis is causing problems, well then assess quitting cannabis. Listen, again, cannabis does not have the magical power to help you quit opioids and tobacco. You gave it that power, and that's fine. I'm glad you did. I'm glad it helped you quit opioids and tobacco. That's incredible.

[00:36:26]But give yourself some effing credit, okay? Like it's not the cannabis that solved that problem for you. Cannabis was one small aspect of solving that, okay? So I would tell you first off, if it's not a problem, keep doing it. If it's working for you, great. If it is a problem, I would tell you you will start quitting by starting to give yourself some credit for what you accomplished quitting tobacco and opioids. because a plant that has no consciousness to it does not deserve credit for that accomplishment. I I hope that's clear.

[00:37:02]Okay, it's very important that you understand that. Um yeah, of course, Crazy 11, I'm I'm glad I'm glad my stream is helpful for you.

[00:37:11]Okay, >> I got a DUI. I need to uh uh make a change. Okay. Yeah, this is a common way people will quit substances. They start to experience the consequences of substance use and they stop. And a DUI is a look, a DUI and loss of your license or loss of your vehicle is a direct loss of freedom related to substance use. Are you willing to sacrifice basic human freedoms for whatever the heck it is you think you're getting from a drug? Some people are, right? Some people are. Um yeah guys when you yeah pros and cons list are great uh for you Philip my yeah yeah like what are the negatives what are the benefits weigh those together logically listen here's the other deal when it comes to cravings ask yourself what is it that you actually crave in life did you quit in the first place you want better physical health better mental health better financial health you want uh better career performance more presence more tenacity more confidence okay what do you actually crave in life and what actions will actually satisfy those cravings. That's that's what you have to be asking yourself. Now, from a substance standpoint, if you have a craving after 3 months, very unlikely it's due to some physical dependency aspect. Very unlikely. So, you have to ask yourself, why am I craving the drug? What do I think that drug is going to give me? And is that true? And you have to question and beat the hell out of that. Okay? And you can abolish those cravings. You can I had a gentleman sign up very high level business professional in Germany, right? Overseas, I think some 40 to 50 employees a day and and stuff like that.

[00:39:00]And this individual had been smoking for years and he was so hesitant to sign up with me. In fact, he's been thinking about signing up with me for a year. And here we are. He just signed up and we had one conversation and he was like I'm worried I'm going to have cra we had one conversation and he has had two cravings in the last four weeks that we've been now working together and this person has been smoking from 16 till his you know mid mid I think he's in his 40s he said um so crazy right um changing jobs now seems to be the only stability until I completely change my job Yeah, that's one way. But here's the other deal. I used to say this all the time. And there's nothing wrong with that, okay? If that's what you want to do. I'm not judging you, but like I always used to say, well, I'm going to quit when um my career changes. I'm going to quit when this relationship gets better. I'm going to quit when whatever. Okay. The thing that actually created the changes that I wanted started with quitting weed. So weed kept me complacent in careers that I wasn't thrilled with. I quit weed. I felt the pain of working in a career that I wasn't thrilled with and that's what motivated me to make change. So a lot of people do this where they say I'm going to wait till this changes that will then facilitate me quitting cannabis when really we should be thinking the other way around. What if quitting cannabis is the is the change that facilitates the other changes? Okay. Um so think about that, right? Uh yeah, getting insurance again, all these things, guys.

[00:40:45]Insurance, life insurance, health, all this stuff. A DUI messes up so many things, guys. It is no It's no joke.

[00:40:55]It's no joke. It's one of my other favorite things about not using substances. I can go I was out to dinner tonight. good friend ate a big cheeseburger had you know had some stuffed hot peppers good attorney friend of mine and you know I'm just driving home and well I didn't think about this until talking to you guys now but it's so nice driving home not having to worry about getting pulled over right I'm also I right I'm a big second amendment fan I'm a concealed carry permit holder and like it's so nice just being able to do that without having to worry about substance use being involved you know what I'm saying so um Right. Okay. After a month and a half of quitting, I still have stress dreams, but I'm staying strong. Been smoking for 30 years.

[00:41:36]You're doing great. Keep it up. Keep it up. Keep it up. Um, okay, guys. I think I'm going to get ready to go to bed now.
