Fetal hydrops is a serious prenatal condition characterized by abnormal fluid accumulation in at least two fetal compartments, such as around the heart, lungs, and under the skin. This condition can significantly reduce a baby's survival chances, with some cases presenting less than a 50% survival rate. Despite challenging medical prognoses, outcomes can be positive with proper medical care, family support, and prayer. The condition requires careful monitoring throughout pregnancy and after birth, with medical teams tracking fluid levels and ensuring the baby's health.

Eliana's Birthday Party & Her Miraculous Birth StoryAdded:
Hey, birthday girl.
Oh, she's pissed. She wants a drink.
This is Elelliana's birthday party. Hey, birthday girl.
Hey, >> don't say that.
>> Hey, Alana.
>> Can you relax?
>> Relax and get out of my chair. All right. Stuck at the back here of everything. But we're having a birthday at a park and so um >> that's everything that we need to take which is um did a trip this morning. I are there holding it down for us.
So NY says 12. We It's 11:23.
So not bad for us. We're on our way there now. We just need to go and set up. We cooked all the food today. Um, did all the desserts last night, finish off cake this morning, so hopefully we actually I know I can't believe we actually cooked all the food. We only did only one thing. We um we missed out of all everything that we wanted to make, but it's pretty good. Like I am pretty surprised at the stage that we are right now. Hey Lana girl, you excited to see everyone?
Yes, you won now.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Feeling pretty good. Babe, not so stressed cuz of the time. Are you all right? You choking or something?
Like you choking? Are you all right?
>> The grapes.
>> You think it's funny?
>> Where's her bag?
>> To go early to try and hold us a spot.
Lucky there was one area, but it wasn't the area that we wanted. Um, and going to go figure out where we want to put our tent for extra space.
this girl, how she's acting.
Um, KFC, we ordered some chicken wings to add. That's going to get picked up.
And then, yeah, I think that's it. And we're so happy because, you know, um, when we chose the park, we were like, "Oh, please see. It's going to be good weather cuz we're in autumn." But, man, it's 25° today, so it's perfect weather for the park.
>> Yeah. So excited to celebrate our baby girl. What's your name?
>> Huh? You won now? Are you on now?
>> Say hi to everyone.
>> All right. I think he's been going through the booty bags and I'm pretty sure he's eating like everyone's lollies in there.
>> This is the birthday.
This is the birthday cake. Cherish his first cake in ages. Look at it. It's all right.
>> Oh, what' you get? Yeah, that's mad.
What'd you get? A giraffe. Wow. Sicki, you like it?
>> We're about to start now. Huh? I'm vlogging right now.
>> We just started. Uh, everything's all done. Everything's set up and we're going to get Chesha's dad to um pray for Do the prayer >> for the baby girl.
>> Do the prayer for baby girl. And uh yeah, everything's ready.
>> Is that too many candles?
>> No. No. That's heaps. What do you reckon, Asis?
Mommy, >> go get a balloon over there. Get line up.
>> Go get line up.
>> Yeah, we got the balloon people in the pink.
>> Hi everyone.
>> Glory to God for this day that we have to celebrate.
Um, >> you know that >> you actually jacked.
>> We're all um the journey we had in the beginning our lives.
She made us so that we had two boys and we were always praying and wanting a baby girl.
Um, so we're so grateful to be here and just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that's here. Um, we know that there's so many that are missing as well. Um, we thank you for um, your prayers. We thank you for your presence. Um thank you for the messages that um you sent um for covering us and especially for covering um before she even came into this world and when she came into this world um fighting and we know that she's only here because of the grace of God and his mercy but especially um for every single person that prayed over um that loved on her that cried us that held us and they love Um, you're the first two to just want to thank you guys. We appreciate every single one of you making the time to come out to celebrate her. We didn't want to do something so big for us. Having a has changed our perspective of a lot of things and we just really appreciate more of the smaller things in life because for us I feel like the smaller things in life are really more important things um family friends um and our family being able to hold India and our hand here. We're just um yeah, so grateful and want to thank you and um >> yeah, I just want to um pretty much repeat everything Shar said. Um we're so grateful for everyone to turn up. Um yeah, like you said, a lot of you know that we went through quite a um Lyanna came in guns blazing. Um and uh she's it's actually um yeah, a miracle that we got her. So yeah, we wanted to uh uh celebrate her with people that she that are actually close to her in her life.
Yeah, thank you. And hope everyone enjoys it. And um I just ask my father-in-law me wearing my long pants. This is unconditional in our custom And uh I've got my brother here that's the the other grandfather. He's not prepared as well. And uh we've just been told this morning of the program.
Anyways, uh as you've all heard um the testimony and what they talk about the little girl and um I think uh God has deserved the uh the glory. Um I used to call her I still call her miracle baby because we heard what they were saying that you know you know some culture is like it was in and out. It's like you know sometimes it's sweet sometimes is sour and that's how our life was starting but uh today not only a beautiful day to celebrate the life of the first year of um and let God be the glory of our Oh my god.
Ready?
Three, two, one.
Birthday to you.
Happy birthday to you.
Happy birthday, dear.

Oh, the bubbles are marshmallow.
Good. Babe, got a goodie bag. You got yours.
Birthday is done. Birthday girl, did you have fun, baby?
Finally get to play with her um birthday balloons.
Oh.
Oh.
>> Hey, what's storm fam? Uh, you've come to this part now where we want to take you back. Um, you've seen that one now and we want to take you back before she was born uh when she was in hospital and we want to talk about or show you, you know, some of the miracles and some of the blessings that we've God has shown us. But wife is going to explain a lot of it. Um, so quickly, um, I had my first scan with Eliana at 32 weeks. Um, it was really late and we weren't planning to do any scans because nothing was out of the ordinary, but towards the end, I felt like I was feeling a lot of pain in carrying Alana. She felt bigger than >> um, our other kids. So, and there was so much movement, more movement than the boys. And I was really struggling in this pregnancy around the like I think before 30 weeks. So, I told Rich, I was like, I think we want to I want to get a scan. And at the same time, um we were battling with wanting to know whether we were having a girl or not. And so, if you see in our in the beginning of the videos, you'll see that we were wondering maybe we had twins. And that's why I was struggling >> um with my pregnancy a lot. But our excitement from going to finally have a girl um just got flipped over and we found out that was diagnosed with a condition called high drops or like fetal high drops. So in this video we will show what we went through.
>> A lot of the videos as well like we don't really talk much. We sort of just video it. It was more kind of like we're trying to >> track her progress and and just capture because >> before I don't think we explained a lot of the doctors we seen would say things like that >> she might not survive she's got 30% chance or even when she was born they always said to us that we might lose her within that week or within >> it was always like touch and go. We were trying to stay as positive and we had so much people praying for us which really uplifted us and >> yeah if you if you're ever thinking if God's real God's real trust me >> and >> I think the other thing if you see us in the videos we look I'm just watching it and >> we don't look what we were going through like we look so happy like I watch it and I always say to like man we don't look like we were going through what we were going through but and I feel like for us like we were talking about it that it truly was the power of prayer like having a community around us because we felt a peace that we couldn't understand and we only knew that was the only reason was because we had our like you know family and friends that were just praying over us and praying over Illana and you can just see it in us like I feel like every day we were just so grateful that she was progressing grateful that we had another day with her grateful that things were working well and yeah so >> um we never got the chance to share and we're like this is we need to share sharing now or else we never I feel like we're just going to miss the chance again um to share God's um goodness in our life. Every single appointment leading up to giving birth to Eliana was just so heartbreaking. Like it was never good news. They kept saying that she was getting worse. Every time we'll walk in like being positive, like looking for the best. We're like, "Oh, I think something's going to change." And I would be like, "Oh, I feel him. I like I feel baby. Baby's well." Like, you know, they're going to tell us and we'll walk in and they'll be like, "No." Um she's not doing any better. Um, yeah. And so that's why we, man, it's nothing but but God's healing and God's um, man, his goodness overana.
>> Yeah. So before you watch this, if you're going through something, it doesn't have to be the same, but something similar, know that you can lean on him and he will honestly >> if you pray and change your life cuz honestly, this whole experience has um has changed our whole view on life. And God did something in our hearts like when she was born and when we we got taken out of hospital and we were man it changed us something inside like inside our hearts and now we're just trying to bring that out. But yeah, hope everyone enjoys this. I mean, yeah.
>> Storm fam, welcome to another video.
You're here with the V family and today we're finding out uh the gender of our baby and we're nervous, man.
I need to know.
>> Like I was saying outside, we're here to find out the gender and how many is in there.
>> So much movement at it. It's a really big baby that it might be >> more than I hope.
But yeah, we'll see if we can film in there. But the boys are waiting in the car.
>> What do you think? Girl or boy?
>> Girl.
>> Boy or girl?
>> Girl.
>> Yeah.
>> Girl.
>> Girl.
>> Girl.
>> Baby sister.
>> Who? Huh?
Isu.
>> You see the Isu. Hey, >> isu.
Oh, nervous.
>> What does she say? She's saying that it might be her.
>> Oh, fingers crossed. She's going to check her game.
Just out here with the stomach out.

Stand. Stand. Stand. Stand. Close. Eyes closed.
>> Put that drink.
>> Close your eyes.
>> Okay.
>> Wait. Put a drink in my >> girl.
>> Okay. Yeah. Sick. Big sip.
>> Yeah. Open your eyes and look at each other.
>> Look at each other's face. Put your tongue out.
>> Put your tongue out.
>> It was a girl.
>> What are we having?
>> A girl. A boy. Why is she going to orange?
>> Let it go.
>> Now I got a baby sister.
>> We made it.
>> See, baby.
>> This was our second ultrasound appointment where we found out the condition that had. She had fetal hydrop or hydrops fatalis where there is a buildup of fluid. For Ilana, it was around her heart and her lungs um as well as under her skin.
We were told that Iana only had a 50% chance of surviving, but as we had each follow-up appointment, they said that her condition was worsening, and it just kept getting her chances were getting lower and lower, and they were even afraid that she would pass away before we had given birth to her. We were so heartbroken, but we prayed and we asked everyone around us to pray for Elana.
And we rebrieked every single negative thing that was told us.
33 weeks, my love, not long ago.
Last day at work. It was so hard smiling for our customers, knowing what we were going through and whether Elelliana would be all right.
>> Look at that. Today's the day.
>> Yeah.
Today's the day.
>> Today's the day for baby girl to come.
>> Let's go.
It's nice packing there in the waiting room.
>> Fabulous. All right.
This is uh baby's um cot and I'm waiting for church if she gets changed in that. Um yeah, nervous but just the man upstairs.
>> She's in there getting changed >> in that room right there.
Okay.
>> She's so active today.
>> She woke up early today.
>> Put some in the sippy cup.
>> Oh gosh. Excuse me.
>> We're in the waiting room. We're about to go into I don't even know right now. I'm just >> I just pray the baby girl.
>> Let me just We are ready for you, baby.
>> Ready?
>> Let's go. Baby, >> today is baby's. This is your first day of seasick.
baby is 34 weeks. Um, this is the safest time they think to take her out.
>> Praying, praying, praying, >> praying for God to move >> over every single procedure, every single person that's going to be involved in praying and baby's lungs are going to be so strong and >> she's going to be so healthy.
>> Thank you to everyone that's been praying for our baby girl. So, yeah.
The boys should be outside, I think, waiting for us.
They're so excited.
We'll welcome each year as we go or whenever we can.
Looking like a doctor.
>> Apparently, our daughter needed 10 doctors to get delivered, you know. So, she's already wanting everyone's attention.
She's already calling the shots.
>> Doctors in good hands.
Sorry.
>> 30 pressure 80%.
I am here.
>> All right.
Thank you.
All right.
>> Yep. And then you'll just need to zero the outline just cuz we're not getting a number. But we're going to show you so we just need to >> Hey, baby.
Hello, baby.
Yeah.
>> Hello, baby.
>> I'll grab the how strong you are. Hey, baby. You're so strong.
You're so strong, my baby girl. Huh?
You're super strong, huh?

>> All yours.
>> Oh, she's giving you a present.
>> You good girl. You're changing your nappy.
And you go down, baby girl.
>> You chilling.
>> We're going to roll you back so you can't roll you.
So the next few days will look like keeping a close eye on the fluid in the couch.
We'll measure this drop by drop. Make sure that we don't get too dry or too wet.
>> And this is when you ask your church family to pray that we keep continue to work.
She kind of looks like he's now >> I I think the only time he was kind of looking is when I was saying, "Your brothers are going to come see.

>> She can hold it. She might hold your hand.
kind of right on something.
She sometimes like grabs.
>> Yeah.
Did >> you touch your hand? Did you you touch baby's hand? I'm not actually happy >> when she grows up. So what's going to talk like how I talk to Rose when >> you can talk to her?
>> You can she's only one day.
>> So she's zero. One day old.
>> No, she's sleeping.
Mom, when did they do it?
>> It's already on her.
