Geographic identity is shaped by the cumulative experiences of where one lives throughout life, and childhood instability can result in a relatively small percentage of life being spent in any single location, even one's birthplace.

405diego Warns People Visiting OKCHinzugefügt:
Care to share where you were actually born?
Okay, see. I wouldn't get as sensitive if I wasn't.
And care to share where you were raised as well? Uh Oklahoma City, yeah. Southside.
And care to share where you reside these days? I reside northwest of Oklahoma City.
Now, when it comes to OKC, I know you mentioned during your upbringing uh you were raised on the southside. Does it get any more specific than that? I know sometimes people get a little bit more specific unless it was just the southside. Um there was there was just the southside like uh was living in station eight with my with my mom and my dad, you feel me? Um and then obviously as a foster kid but I wasn't like hella different homes. So, like there's a point where I was like in like like a millionaire's home because they took me in and then kicked me out and I went to a a shelter. Like there it would just it would go like from like rich to like poor ass [ __ ] and then to shelters. Like it just depended on where I was going, you know? I never knew. And I do want to break that dynamic a little bit later on in this conversation. But when it comes to the southside for you, how long do you think you were raised just on the southside for? Like was it a particular age range for you? Like >> Probably like till I was four or like four and a half. I was I turned like five like two months before like two months before I uh got put in foster care. So, yeah.
So, just uh curious here. It was about four or five when you started living on the southside?
>> No, I lived southside from uh zero of life.
>> Okay, got it. And then what about throughout your upbringing? There would be times when you would be back on the southside again?
Not really. Like now that I'm older and a little bit older like especially like when I was 14, 15, yeah, I did. But when I was younger, no, I was just you know, wherever they put me. So, what about this? Let's just do this little breakdown here. If there was a circle chart of 100%, what percentage do you think of you growing up from zero to let's say 18 Were you raised on the south side alone?
All the different times you may have moved back and forth so on and so forth.
How long would you say what percentage would you put for the south side?
I'd say at least like not going to lie, it's not a big percentage. It's like maybe like 25% of my life.
Then the other 75% what would they be?
It's rough. Uh I can name names Oklahoma City.
Not not in the south side just Oklahoma City. Uh Ada, Ponca City.
Out of state I lived in Kentucky for a little bit a couple months almost a year.
Yeah, there's a lot but I don't really know specifically every single one.
And what about this? When it comes to Oklahoma City, do you got to ask you this especially for those in the audience that may be visiting. Okay, circumstances could be different for everyone. But can you give the audience here five tips for anyone visiting OKC?
Bro, if you're visiting OKC bring your Xbox or PlayStation. There's not [ __ ] to do.
Two.
Bro, [snorts] just go to a different state for food. Three.
Bro, just don't I don't know. Don't come bro. I'm sorry like it's especially if you're artist too or if you just want to visit like if you're like want to go on a trip or something do not bro. Plan somewhere else bro. I'm sorry. I'm just trying to help you out.
Yeah.
What's wrong with OKC?
Bro, it's just like nothing to do. Like like you'll go you'll go crazy in there bro.
It's like nothing to do.
>> Mhm.
