The video effectively exposes the collapse of the modern social contract, where stagnant wages and rigid management have made traditional employment a losing proposition. It correctly identifies that the "labor shortage" is actually a crisis of dignity and systemic economic failure.

21 Photos That Show Why NO ONE WANTS TO WORK ANYMOREAdded:
It's bad enough that the job market is a complete crapshoot right now. You have millions of people losing their jobs and almost nobody hiring right now. It is taking people months, if not years, to get a new job after a layoff. Keeping a job is very tough and stressful. And on top of that, people are not making enough money to keep up with the cost of living. So having a job in general sucks unless you really like your job and what you do for a living. And when I saw this story today, I knew I just had to make this video because I like to change it up sometimes and just do something that's just kind of fun, you know? And that's exactly what this is, guys. These are 21 photos that show just how ridiculous it is to work at different places and all the different job opportunities that are out there. And a lot of this stuff I think is meant to be funny because I know I laughed a lot when I read a lot of this stuff. Talk about invading p people's privacy. Check out this first one. No phones in the bathroom. If you are in the bathroom for more than 10 minutes, a manager will conduct a smell test and if they do not smell any number two, you will be written up. So you need to be in there taking a dump. If you're just sitting there scrolling on your phone, hiding in the stall, they are going to write you up. And I'm sure this is probably a big problem for a lot of employers, guys.
Like, previously to having smartphones, what would be the reason to hide in the bathroom for, you know, 10 minutes or longer? Unless you were actually going to the bathroom. There's not much to do in there, right? But now that people have smartphones, they can sit there and probably watch half of this video while disappearing into the bathroom. How about this one? People are told that going to college is the best thing that you can do because getting an education is going to be a guarantee that you're going to be able to earn some money.
Well, maybe not anymore because check out this sign. tutors with PhDs from $25 an hour shows how much having a PhD is really worth in 2026, guys. Like $25 an hour, there are jobs that you don't even have to go to college for that you can get that pay that much, if not more. I mean, you can go to California right now and work at In-N-Out Burger and make 25 bucks an hour. Same thing goes for nurses. You know, nursing and the health care industry in general right now is one of the best fields to get into to AI proof yourself as well as the fact that it consistently is one of the largest growing segments in the US economy while every other industry is losing jobs right now. Healthc care continues to add jobs because people in this country are so fat and sick. Well, apparently that's not valued too much according to this job listing because this shows that new RN graduates additional $1 to base pay rate after the third year of experience.
So, you already had to have three years in and then they gave an extra dollar an hour. Wow, what an incentive. That just makes you want to just apply and go work there now, doesn't it? Now, here's one that as soon as I read this, I knew I had to make this video because I just thought it was hilarious and really is a sign of the times. Here's a job listing that requires applicants to be able to live on minimum wage. Here's what we're looking for. Someone that's working to learn instead of working to earn and someone who can live on minimum wage.
That is a qualifying factor for you to work at this company. On top of that, they want you to be a hard worker. They want you to be a risktaker. They want you to be self-motivated. Well, I'll tell you what. Taking a job where you be able to live on minimum wage is definitely taking a risk in 2026, I would say. And it says what we're not looking for values money over knowledge.
Somebody who needs constant motivation.
Yeah. You know, it's hard to stay motivated when you're making $10.50 an hour, apparently. Or how about this one?
the the things that people say in order to try to convince people it's a good place to work is sometimes just over the top. This is included in the benefits section of this job, guys. One benefit they show here is on top of earning your $3,000 per month, your stable, reliable income, which is only $36,000 a year by the way, which pretty much puts you in the poor category in 2026. You also will enjoy a consistent six day work week with Sundays off to recharge. Well, how refreshing is that? Well, if you're going to give me Sundays off to recharge and that $36,000 a year, then just sign me up, huh? This one's for all my UPS drivers out there. Shout out to the UPS dude I saw on Flamingo Drive the other day here in Miami Beach. You know who you are. You're watching one of my videos. Super cool. Watching my videos while delivering your packages. Well, apparently if you want to get a job at this UPS warehouse, they're just completely giving you a bold-faced lie of how compensation works because it says here that salary is $30 an hour, but with a caveat. When you actually look at the job information, it says that weekly compensation starts at$,555 per hour and then you're guaranteed wage progression through the union at $30 an hour after seniority plus 48 months of service. So they're sitting there lying to people telling them that you're going to earn $30 an hour, but the catch is you got to be with us for two years and be a part of the union. Want another example of just how useless a college degree is nowadays? How about this one?
They want you to have a bachelor's degree for this job. And starting pay is $18,000 to $25,000 a year for mental health services. Well, you're going to need mental health services of your own after deciding to do a job like this for this low of pay, guys. You might as well go and work at McDonald's. You know what I mean? Why do you need a college degree for any of this stuff? I mean, I feel for people like a lot of this is funny because of how true it is, but I really feel for people who are going through this right now and are forced to take some of these jobs because that's all you can get right now. It's terrible. It really is terrible. How about this one?
This is at a Dollar General store somewhere. It says, "We do not sit at the register. This is Dollar General, not Aldi." I don't know why they're taking a shot at Aldi because they let their employees sit down while they're working the cash register. Like, so what? Why do you have to stand up? If it's available to sit there and you can do the job comfortably, who cares if you're standing or sitting? Have you ever remembered a time when you remember going into a store and worrying about if the person at the checkout is sitting up or standing down? I could care less. In fact, if they're comfortable, then you're more likely to get better customer service. So, whatever works for them and they can still do the job properly and you're not going to get dirty looks and actually get a smile here and there and have things get done, that's fine for me. But according to this Dollar General, that's just not good enough. We need to make sure people are miserable. And on top of that, they just got one of those crappy metal foldup chairs which are not comfortable to sit in anyhow. And why have a chair there either, by the way, if you're not allowed to sit in it? Some of these companies are getting super aggressive when it comes to people coming in late to work and faking sick days so they can, you know, have a three-day weekend or whatever it is people are doing with their sick days. Take a look at this.
Due to too many employees abusing the system starting today, any employee calling in sick, such employee will not get paid for a sick day unless a doctor's note is presented when such employee returns to work. Any employee clocking in late after 8:01 a.m. four days out of a calendar month will automatically lose one sick day. Any lost sick days due to being late will not be honored at the end of the year.
Best regards, management. Now, okay, in order to run a business effectively, people need to show up on time. Of course, there are extenduating circumstances, and nobody can be 100% on time all the time. 4 days out of the month, being late, I guess, is sort of lenient, but maybe not, especially if you're more than 1 minute late. That's pretty crazy. Here's another one. Going back to the bathroom, bathrooms are not for hanging out. Do not come to bathrooms to hide while clocked in. That is time theft and will result in strikes, which they are correct. You know, if you're in the bathroom and you go to the bathroom five times while you're at work and you spend 10 minutes on there scrolling on the phone, you just stole an hour's worth of the company's time away and throughout the whole >> Hey, >> I saw you on YouTube.
>> Oh, thanks, man.
>> Appreciate it. Pretty good content.
>> I appreciate it, dude. What's your name?
>> Carlos.
>> Carlos. Nice to meet you, man.
>> My wife watches, too.
>> Hey, how are you?
>> Hey, nice to meet you. Good, man.
>> Thank you. Shout out to Carlos and the wife. Thanks for stopping and saying hello. So over the course of a week, you know, you work a five day work week, you're stealing almost 5 hours of company time that they are paying you for. So I can see how companies are cracking down on this and getting upset.
So honestly, I can't blame them for that one. Here's a sign at one of these stores that tells people deliberately not to tip with the credit cards because the employer does not pay people those tips. It's saying to only give people cash if you want the employee to get a tip, guys. I mean, why as the employer would you not share that tip with the employee, even though it was on a credit card? I have no idea why they would withhold that. Maybe there's some kind of logistical reason that makes it a nightmare to pay people. I don't know.
But back when I used to deliver pizzas, more than half of my tips were on credit cards and they would just cash me out at the end of the night. You know, like if I had $50 on credit card tips, they would give me 50 bucks out of the cash register and I give them the credit card receipts. You guys can see we still got Memorial Day weekend planes and stuff going on here. It's like a all weekend long thing.
It's always hard to capture those guys on video because by the time you hear the plane, it's already like thousands of feet ahead of where it is because they're going faster than the speed of sound, you know. Now, it's nice when you get rewarded with things at certain places of work for doing a good job. And in this case, this person won an extra 10-minute break, but it comes with rules attached to it. You have to give at least 24 hours notice. I mean, how do you do that, right? If you're just tired one day at work, how can you predict when you're going to want that extra 10-minute break? You do not have to pick the same day, and it cannot be added to your regular break. So, you can't turn a 10-minute break into a 20minut break.
Expires within 30 days. Says, "Choose wisely." So, yeah, they're giving you a nice little gift, but not with all the gotchas that come along with it. Oh, this one's the best, guys. Wait till you see this one. This one is talking about how employees are not allowed to go to the emergency room if you get hurt at work. If an employee gets injured while at work, do not go to the hospital or emergency room. Please visit the nearest convenient care office in your town or area. If after hours of walk-in clinics are closed, contact the manager.
Managers must contact the office ASAP after you are made aware of the injury.
So, yeah, no big deal. I just chopped off my finger, but I'll just have to go to the immediate care and sit there for an unknown amount of time. Forget about going to the ER. You're not allowed to do that. Now, this one is sad but true.
and uh probably is going to hit home with a lot of you. Think this is your home 5 days of the week. Help keep it clean. If you think about it, a lot of people these days spend more time at work than they actually do at home.
Especially if you have a busy life with kids and you need to go drop them off at different sports practices and doctor's appointments and all the other stuff that comes with that chaotic lifestyle and then you're working 50 hours a week.
How much time do you really spend at home when you're actually awake and not sleeping? This one could be fake. I mean, all of these could be fake, I suppose, but it doesn't really matter because they all kind of represent the state of the current job market, but this employer wrote thief on somebody's paycheck after the employee reported them for wage theft. I don't know who's the thief in this situation, but the fact that they wrote that on there is pretty brazen. Now, I don't even know if this is legal, if companies can do this, but they're doing it anyways at this place. It says, "Whoever gets the least credit card signups has to buy refill snacks." Now, that could just be like a lighthearted competitionfueled thing so people feel the urge to actually do well at their job. But if they actually follow through with that and make people spend their own money giving snacks to all the other employees, that's pretty messed up. This one is very harsh. Take a look at this team. There will be no request off in November, December, or New Year's. If you're planning to leave the store, put your two weeks notice in advance before those months and holidays. So, if you work here, you are guaranteed to get no time off this holiday season. And you might as well just quit right now. And you have to give us a notice, too, by the way, if you're going to do that. Oh, how how nice. You know, let's just uh give them the notice so that way they can plan ahead for their company and their business. But I can't take a little time off in my life. Isn't that nice? And if you think that one's bad, this one is 10 times worse. The demands that some of these companies have are just kind of unreal. Guys, if you are a full-time associate, you have open availability.
That is the protocol going forward. If any associates can't agree with open availability and full-time status, then they simply put it in writing that they wish to give up their full time. No more sunrise syndrome. We have to schedule the needs of the business. Thanks, management. I try to see it from both points of view because on the one hand, management's probably sick and tired of people saying, "Oh, well, I can't work that Friday. You know, I have to do this or I have to do that." And they're the ones in charge of scheduling everybody.
And then every single week, you're constantly trying to accommodate everyone's scheduling requests. I want to work this day. I don't want to work that day. Blah blah blah blah. And it ends up becoming a nightmare. and they're just like, "You know what? If you work here and you're full-time, you're gonna work when we say you're going to work." Which I think is kind of the agreement people sign up for when you get a job, guys. Like, let's be real. When you get a job, you are volunteering your time for money at your place of work, and you are essentially agreeing to their terms and conditions if you're going to work there. So, people who think otherwise probably have some unrealistic expectations about that. Now, do they have to be this rude about it? Of course not. But I'm sure this came from, you know, years and years of problems and abuse of friendly and flexible policies, and they probably just had enough. This one's interesting because it sounds like a fifth grader wrote this cuz they didn't even put the proper grammar in here. Sometimes people give me a hard time for saying something wrong on the channel or every once in a while misspelling something in this thumbnail, which ends up being a typo.
It's not on purpose, but look at this one. This person says, "Hello, Stop and Shop Associates. As of today, we will be enforcing rather than enforcing the no personal items on the sales floor in the department's policy. Some example personal items not allowed on the sales floor or in the department are headphones of any kind, snacks, foods, or drinks of any kind, and no using the phone. And if you are medically exempt, please come to us to follow the proper protocol. Now, other than picking on this person's grammar who wrote this, here's another example, right? People are sick, especially customers, right?
Like I hate this. When you're walking through a store and you see somebody who works there on the phone, not doing the job, and when you ask them for help, it's like you're interrupting their day.
You know what I mean? Like, do you work here or not? you want to go home, stay on the phone, go ahead. But, you know, you're working here. And this something I just can't relate to because back when I used to work regular jobs, no one had smartphones yet. You know, a lot of people still had a cell phone, but people weren't sitting there playing around on the phone all day cuz there just was nothing to do on the phone other than call or text somebody. But management's getting tired of people being on their headphones or taking a break in public by just, you know, bringing a snack out there or whatever.
and customers don't like it either.
Here's one that's a direct threat. If you're not doing a good job at your job, performance reviews are coming. If your performance is below 75% or better, you will be moved to part-time with no exceptions. If your performance is below 50%, you will have limited hours until improvement is seen. and managers if your performance is below 50% a demotion will come unless improvement is seen within 2 weeks. So these people are tired of messing around. They're saying you know what we better see improvement and if we're not seeing it you will be demoted. You will be making less money whether it's through less hours or having a worse position. That's where you're headed. You know this kind of makes me think about this video idea that I've been kind of brewing in the background too guys. It's like related to the fact that no one wants to work anymore. I did a video like that a while ago, but this would be more like about how nobody does their job anymore. And I was thinking about making a video like that. And let me know if you guys want to see that. But it sounds like a lot of these signs that these managers and places of work are putting up are directly because a lot of people don't want to do their job. you know, they want the job and then they get hired and then they act like they don't want it while once they're actually out there doing the job. And this last one's a sign at a bar that says attention. Due to national wage increase, beer prices have risen. Everybody wants to see minimum wage go up everywhere, right?
Until you got to pay more for that beer.
I'll tell you one thing, everything I just went over makes me very happy that I don't work a regular job. I mean, I haven't worked a regular job since 2009, guys. So, I've been out of that world for a long time, but man, it seems like things have gotten so much worse since I used to work a regular job. I mean, the last job I had, I was working at a restaurant here in Miami. I absolutely hated the job because the manager and the owner of the place were awful people. They just were. They didn't treat people well, especially me. But, it was a job. I was living on my own. I just came here to Miami. I needed the money, so I had to just suck it up and do the job, right? But working there pushed me to be on my own and be independent. And I ended up getting my real estate license and uh starting to be on my own from that point moving forward. And I would have to tell you that working for myself since I was 20 years old was probably the best decision I ever made in my whole life. I know that's not for everyone and not everyone can do it. I'm not sitting here preaching that everybody has to start a business. But just reading all these things makes me happy that I don't have to deal with any of it. I don't have to answer to anyone. I don't have limited break times or people telling me which days I can take off or this and that.
None of it. But you do have to work a lot harder when you work for yourself.
And a lot of people just don't have that level of discipline and motivation to do that for themselves. People need to be told what to do in many cases, which is why you end up being forced to work at one of these jobs. But I will tell you, if you are sick of any of the things that we just looked at in this video, I promise you that if you go the route of finding a way to work for yourself, you probably won't regret it. So, let me know which one of these you thought was the funniest or let me know a new version of something that you saw at your workplace down in the comments to help everybody else get a laugh out of it. So, if you enjoyed this video, make sure you subscribe to the channel. And if you don't want to wait for my next video to come out, check out this one on the screen right over here. and I'll see you in the next
