This video presents a philosophical debate about whether understanding the Quran requires Arabic language proficiency. The speaker argues that the essence and message of the Quran are more important than linguistic analysis, and that one can understand the Quran's guidance through direct reading in a comprehensible language and trust in divine guidance, rather than relying solely on scholars or complex linguistic studies.

هل فعلاً لا يمكن فهم القرآن بدون اللغة العربية؟ نقاش صادمAdded:
Peace to you. I hope this finds you well. I'm I just got off I I was hosting a live panel discussion. Oh, individual.
It's not Well, it's sort of a panel.
Um and I've been doing that the last couple of days. And um Uh what happened just happened now is prompting this video.
And I shall not name names.
But rather say it's not unusual for people to pop up when I'm on a live, whether it's as as a guest or or hosting, and to say that they have been watching my videos, that they like my videos, or that you know, something to that is a a compliment, if you will.
But it's not unusual for people some people to give the compliment and then add a little bit extra to it.
And inevitably, quite honestly, inevitably, the extra is always to follow another human being.
That is always it's always the case.
In [snorts] this instance that I just came off, it was about language. And it happened it's happened many times. I don't understand Arabic, therefore I can't understand the Quran, the message of the Quran.
It's I'm sorry. The Lord God Almighty is not limited by language.
And for for someone to say uh they hear they've seen my videos, they understand my message, they In this instance, the guy said, "I commend you on on encouraging people to read the Quran in the language that they can understand. But" is exactly how he started it. "But" And then the but was that you have to know the language and know the meanings of the words in order to decipher, in order to reach this level of understanding. And I was trying to reason with him. We went around a couple of times.
Trying to reason with him that I trust in Allah.
At 68 years of age, he leads me to the book, the book, the truth, the Quran.
And it's in a language that I can understand.
I trusted in in God my whole life. He's fine I finally was at the the point, I guess, that I was ready to understand the truth of the Quran.
I don't need to go anywhere else.
And the truth, the the essence of the message is more important than deciphering what they mean by this word.
I'm sorry.
If you choose, and they're friends of mine, who understand Arabic and who really get into it and break it down into the root words and stuff. And that's fine. But from my point of view, I just saw the s- shadow of a one of vulture or a hawk go over the grass. That was interesting. Anyway.
But and that that's fine, language.
But to tell people what what I was trying to get across to this guy, for him to tell me that my understanding is limited by this world, by the language, by the study, by the who I speak to, who who chooses to guide me. You understand? If I'm saying if I'm putting my trust in the world, I'm not putting my trust in Allah.
And you can say, "Well, JJ, how do you know that the Quran was you know, translated correctly?"
I trust that it has been translated correctly.
And even even if there are different meanings to the verses at different times or different meanings of the words in the verses at different times, I trust that Allah will make that clear to me.
This fellow was saying that uh heart and brain and and the word dirt or he was referencing words that had different meanings at different points in the Quran.
Well, to say that the only way for me to understand those differences is to go to another man, I'm sorry, man.
You can't hold a candle to Allah.
I trust in Allah.
I do.
And I was having a rather live rather interesting and and fulfilling and easy live, and then I I had to leave because I don't like getting caught in the the circular arguments.
My ar- my argument basically is read the Quran in a language you can understand and trust in Allah. If he's guiding you, you will see the truth.
I don't care about language. I don't I don't care about any of that. I don't care what scholars you have. I don't I don't care what hadith you read. I I don't care.
The only thing I care about is that you give yourself the opportunity to read the Quran in a language you can understand.
Yeah?
Peace.
