[00:00:04]Not what I was expecting. I think it's really funny that the bad reviews on Goodreads talk [ __ ] because this is not an accurate representation of Lord Byron, but it's a vampire book.

[00:00:14]What did you expect? He's a vampire and a horny one. But, this book gave me something that Dracula did not. Thorough descriptions of the vampire and the castle. Don't stake me for saying that, but Dracula really missed the mark for me with the actual vampire and the castle. Like, when he crawls up the wall, that's so cool. But anyway, this one has the probably best description of a vampire that I've read so far. And his castle is [ __ ] bonkers. I wish I could visit there. Quite literally the most astonishing description of a castle I've ever read. The staircases, insane. The ending is a bit predictable, but take me back to Greece. The juxtaposition of his life and his unlife is so symbolic and it bleeds through in the descriptions of the settings he finds himself in. So, what are we reading next week?
