War. Famine. Death. All of Them Answer to the Same Person.

[00:00:00]There is a figure in Revelation releasing the four horsemen one by one.

[00:00:05]It is not who most people think. Most people picture the four horsemen as symbols of the end. War, famine, death, chaos that nobody controls.

[00:00:19]But Revelation 6 does not describe chaos.

[00:00:22]It describes a courtroom, a scroll sealed with seven seals. And every time one seal is broken, a rider is released one by one in order under authority.

[00:00:38]The question nobody asks is this.

[00:00:42]Who is breaking the seals?

[00:00:45]Revelation 5 answers it. Every angel in heaven is searching for someone worthy to open the scroll.

[00:00:54]No one is found.

[00:00:56]Then one of the elders says, "Do not weep. The lion of the tribe of Judah has triumphed.

[00:01:04]He is able to open the scroll."

[00:01:07]And John looks up and sees not a lion.

[00:01:11]A lamb looking as if it had been slain.

[00:01:16]The four horsemen are not chaos breaking loose.

[00:01:19]They are judgments being sent by the one who was crucified.

[00:01:25]And there is one more detail.

[00:01:28]The third seal breaks.

[00:01:31]Famine arrives.

[00:01:33]And a voice from heaven says this.

[00:01:36]Do not harm the oil and wine.

[00:01:39]Even in judgment, there are limits on what is permitted.

[00:01:44]Someone is controlling the damage.

[00:01:47]The most terrifying thing about the four horsemen is not the war, not the famine, not the death. It is that every single one of them answers to the lamb.
