The Bible reveals God progressively through different images: as 'I AM' (pure existence at the burning bush), as a shepherd (intimate guide), as a good Father (loving and welcoming), and as an older brother (companion and partner), with each revelation building on the previous one to bring humanity closer to understanding God's nature.

Who Is God? The Bible’s Answer Changes Over Time追加:
The question, who is God, is the oldest question in the human story and the answer the Bible gives is not a single image. It is a progression of images, each one true, each one revealing something the previous one could not fully carry.
Moses encountered God at the burning bush, fire that burned without consuming, energy present in matter without destroying it. The name given was I am, not I was, not I will be, but I am, pure existence, uncaused, self-sustaining, outside of time. No category of human experience could fully hold it, so God shows an image from the physical world that pointed beyond it, fire that did not consume. That is where the revelation began.
David knew God as a good shepherd, not a distant king issuing orders from a throne room, but a shepherd who walks with the flock, who knows each animal by name, who goes out after the one that is lost, who leads toward green pastures and still water, who stays present through the valley of the shadow.
The shepherd image brought God from the infinite down to the intimate, a God who guides and protects and stays close.
Jesus brought the next revelation. He called God Father and more specifically good father. Not a father who is merely present or merely powerful, but one whose goodness defines the relationship.
The prodigal son's father who runs towards the returning child, who throws a party, who puts the ring back on the finger, who never stopped watching the road. Jesus was not giving humanity a new God, he was showing them the same God David knew and Moses knew, but closer, more personal, the intimacy of a child with a parent who is completely safe.
And in the kingdom, the millennial kingdom, in the eternal kingdom, the revelation takes one more step, older brother, not above you in a way that creates distance, alongside you in a way that creates partnership, an older brother who has already walked the road you are walking, who knows what it costs, who is there not as authority above, but as companion beside.
