This content reduces the systemic trauma of archaic disciplinary practices to mere clickbait for the digital masses. It successfully captures the shock factor but lacks the depth to address the serious human rights concerns it presents.

The Weirdest School Punishments!追加:
These are the world's weirdest school punishments. And honestly, I went to a normal school. Nothing really weird happened in my school, so I'm really excited to see what weird punishments happen around the world. Make sure you watch until the very end because the punishments get weirder and weirder and weirder. Let's kick this off. First of all, in Bulgaria, kicked out of class for the day. I mean, I don't really think that's weird. Studies have shown that such suspensions are ineffective in improving behavior. Personally, if I was naughty at school and I got sent home, it would just make me be naughtier at school so that I get sent home more. I mean, is that not common sense?
In Ukraine, you are forced to do push-ups. More than half of people can't do 10 push-ups in a row. Am I really going to have to prove to you that I can do 10 push-ups? All right, let's try this.
Okay. Three, two.
>> [laughter] >> Okay. Oh gosh, we're going to skip that one. In Cambodia, they are beaten with a ruler. Corporal punishment is unfortunately still present in a third of all schools. So, in a third of all schools, you can still get beaten up by your teacher. I mean, does this actually work? Does this stop kids from misbehaving or does it just teach kids to be scared of teachers? Okay, now in Sri Lanka, you are banned from peeing.
Huh? So, if you're naughty in Sri Lanka, you are not allowed to use the bathroom and as a result, you end up peeing yourself. You can't go to the toilet while in class, so you're forced to hold it in. I mean, this happened in my school. Miss, can I go for a bathroom, please? No, you should have gone at break time. I didn't need a toilet at break time, Miss. That's not my problem.
>> [laughter] >> Next up, in Brunei.
Brunei? What is Brunei? Where is Brunei?
Okay, it's a country in Asia. Writing on head. You have to display whatever you did wrong for the whole day on your forehead. Is this actually true? You imagine you don't do your homework and the teacher comes up to you and writes on your head, "No homework." I shouldn't be laughing. That's absolutely horrible.
All right, moving on. In Georgia, you get punched in the stomach. Frank Richards lets people punch, shoot cannonballs at, and hits his stomach with a hammer. Imagine you're late to class and the teacher just whacks you in the stomach. Oh my gosh, that That That is not true. That is not true, surely.
In Finland, you get soap scrubbed into your mouth. This punishment is for bad language, dates back to at least the 1800s. My gosh, my mom literally used to do this to me when I was a kid. If I said any bad word, my mom would get Fairy washing up liquid and put it into my mouth. This is going to wash your mouth out from all them horrible words.
Thanks, Mom. In the Philippines, hair pulling. 1% of students pull their hair out due to exam stress. They stop once the exams are over. I have never heard of that. Like, imagine pulling out your own hair. That'd be horrible. That's actually like a real condition. Like, people are addicted to pulling out their hair. And that's crazy. I could never think of anything worse. all of my hair to remain on my head. In Turkey, you sit with the girls. Only boys get this punishment. It's supposed to be super embarrassing. I mean, speaking for myself, I don't think this is a bad punishment. In fact, I tried to sit with the girls when I was a kid and they all moved away from me. It wasn't fair.
Turns out I just need to go to Turkey for school. In Bosnia, the lowest grade gets expelled. In an effort to improve grades, the worst performing kid was expelled. Gosh, that is strict. Imagine that you do so bad on your test, they don't let you come back to school. Bro, I would have been expelled. That would have been me. I'd have been like, see you soon, friends. I'm going to work on a farm. In Belgium, you remove gum from desks. This was the punishment for sticking it there in the first place. In England, you have to remove gums from desks even if you didn't stick it there.
I literally remember once when I was younger, I got a detention and that was my job to scrape gum off the bottom of desks. To be fair, though, they did give me some rubber gloves. In Bangladesh, cutting the grass. Forcing kids to operate something like a lawnmower is illegal in most places. I mean, I think that's fair enough. If a kid misbehaves, you get him to do your jobs. If I owned a school and the kids misbehaved, they'd have to do my cooking, my washing up, my laundry, my drying, all of the jobs that I don't want to do, I would force the kids to do. In Algeria, walking on your knees. Algerian [music] teachers force their students to kneel through rocks.
Ouch. Okay, that is pretty harsh. I would never stoop that low. That is like I feel sorry for every single kid in Algeria. In Brazil, you get roasted by the entire class. The teacher instructed the students to make fun of another student. There is no way that is real.
Oh my gosh.
>> [laughter] >> I need to go to Brazil and misbehave. In Laos, you are forced to stand for the whole day. People who stand all day are three times as likely to develop harmful varicose veins.
That's not very nice.
So, what would happen if you were naughty and the teacher was like, "Oi, Jake, you need to stand up." And you just sat down. Like, what are they going to do about it? Hound you up? In Vietnam, write self-criticism. Oh my gosh, this would be horrible. Students were forced to write an essay criticizing themselves and then read it out. My essay would be, "I am ugly. I am not funny. I am horrible person. I am short. I am not strong." I'm just joking, guys. I'm not that negative.
>> [laughter] >> So, in Poland, if you misbehave, you have to run a lap around the school.
While most schools ban running indoors, this school takes an opposite approach.
I think that's a fair punishment. The majority of kids do not want to run a whole lap around the school. So, with that being said, if you're naughty, you do a lap. In Myanmar, forced to stand in the sun. Bear in mind, it can get up to 30° in Myanmar. What if you don't have any sunscreen and you burn?
In Serbia, you have to hold your hand in the air. Amou Amou Amou Barati has held his arm in the air for over 50 years to promote world peace. So, the guy that they're talking about has held his arm up like this for 50 years. And he's done it for so long that he can't even move his arm anymore. His fingers are all deformed. It's just crazy to me that somebody has actually done that. In Denmark, you get a message sent home.
This way the responsibility to actually punish is shifted onto their parents. So you're telling me you don't get punished at school, you get punished at home.
That's brilliant. In the UK, if they sent a letter home, then my parents probably wouldn't care.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
So in Norway, you get water poured down your pants. Is that right?
Can they do that? Is that actually legal? Cold cold water was poured down a student's pants. Even worse, looked like they peed themselves. Bro, that would be so horrible. Imagine sitting in wet pants every single day. I think that's the worst one so far. In Russia, you have to repeat the lesson again. Studies show repetition as an effective means of retaining information. Okay, this one is probably the worst. Like imagine you misbehave in class and the teacher says you got to do it again. The whole class, all by yourself. That would literally kill me inside. In Croatia, you kneel on corn. It might not sound too bad, but try doing it for more than a few seconds. It really hurts. Is there any Croatians that watch my YouTube channel?
Please, can you verify if that's a real punishment or whether this thing is lying to me? In Singapore, beaten by the head teacher. A student was beaten for 2 hours for having a tattoo. I'm not going to go into detail, but Singapore is not to mess around in. In Egypt, you sit on frozen peas. Students who misbehave in Egypt are forced to sit on frozen peas.
I mean, I literally just got back from Egypt and the weather is so hot and there's nothing more than you want than to just cool down. So I'd be misbehaving all the time. In Sweden, you get confiscated phones. Even if you weren't on your phone, it can be confiscated for the day as a punishment. In the UK, you're not even allowed a phone. [music] Let me know in the the do you take your phone to school or is it not allowed? I also want you to let me know in the comments what country you are watching this video from because I'm going to be liking every single comment, so go and do it right now. Next up, in Thailand, you get your toes stamped on. A quarter of your body's bones are found in your feet. Bro, that is wild. Imagine the teacher just jumping on your toes because you forgot your homework. In Afghanistan, cutting hair. Hair grows about 6 in per year or 1/2 an in every single month. This would be even worse for girls. In South Korea, beaten with a club. Internal bleeding caused by such punishments can be extremely deadly. I don't think a misbehaving student needs to be beaten with a club. I am so glad I didn't grow up in South Korea. In Germany, made to tie a ponytail. Boys with long hair are told to tie it up to embarrass them. Huh, that's not a punishment. In Spain, you watch the class through a window. All of the embarrassment of getting sent out of class without getting to skip it. Oh my god. You have to participate from outside of the room. I mean, next up it'll be watch the class through FaceTime. In Wales, writing lines. In 2019, a student designed a robot that would write the lines for them. Now guys, I had to do this as a kid as well and it absolutely sucked. But one way that you can get around this is if you tape loads of pens together, you only have to write one line and then it writes them all for you. It's genius idea and I actually got away with that when I was younger. In Hungary, you have to stand in a corner. Research showed that 4 minutes as the optimal length for the time out punishment. You forgot your homework, go and stand in the corner.
Okay. That was cringe. That was so cringe.
>> [laughter] >> In Italy, you have to face the wall.
Some countries consider this a form of corporal punishment and isolation. I think if a child misbehaves, yeah, that's a fair punishment. Go and face the wall. In Puerto Rico, spit in a bucket until it's filled up. Kids who spat on the ground would have to spit in a bucket until a bucket was full. Okay, that's disgusting, but then again, spitting on the ground is also pretty disgusting. In Australia, you are made to stand on a chair. A fall can be deadly as low as 6 ft depending on how you land. I mean, in England, if you stand on a chair, you'll get told off.
How is this a punishment in Australia?
In England, detention during break time.
The average recess lasts 30.2 minutes.
But yeah, obviously this is true like I grew up in England and the amount of detentions that I had is crazy. You can get break time detentions which was like 30 minutes. Then you can get lunch time detention which was like 40 45 minutes.
But then you can get an after school detention which was like 2 hours. And this one time I bunked off school and they gave me after school detentions for a whole week. Okay, in the Netherlands, tidying up after class. 78% of students feel that cleanliness has an impact on their school performance. That's definitely true. I feel like I work so much better with like a clean office, [music] a clean room, a clean mind, even a clean body. So like if anything's dirty, like it's just not nice. It's not [music] good and yeah, it's just In Indonesia, you have to salute the flag. Students who are late are forced to stay outside and salute their flag for an hour. Imagine just an hour of That would be crazy. In Canada, you get gum stuck to your nose. If you're caught chewing gum, wear it on your face for the rest of the day. Bro, I thought Canada was like such a calm country.
There is no way this actually happens.
If there's anyone from Canada watching this, then can you just verify if you have to have gum stuck to your nose? In Malaysia, you crawl everywhere for a day. Crawling has long been a tool of humiliation and submission. I would not want to grow up in Malaysia. In Albania, you get a fine for having a phone in class. A student from Albania was fined for pulling up their phone in a hallway for $15.
Bro, I didn't even have $15 as a student. When I was in school, I was broke. In Nepal, you have to take off clothing. Despite being illegal, some teachers will make you drop your pants for misbehavior. Imagine that. You forgot your homework and you had to get your willy out.
That is the wildest one that is on this list for sure. In India, you are forced to stay in the Maga position. This stress position places huge amounts of pressure on the legs. Mm, okay.
>> [laughter] >> In Cuba, you have to unclog the toilets with your bare hands. Oh my god, that is disgusting. That is actually disgusting.
A 4-year-old was forced to unclog a toilet with his hands because he Okay, if you clog the toilet, you unclog the toilet. That's fair enough. In the USA, you're fined for chewing gum. A school charged their students $25 if they were caught chewing gum. Once again, I know I've got a lot of people here from the USA. Is this true? I just feel like this is not true. In Mexico, you are shoved into a haunted closet. Oh my [laughter] gosh.
Studies place a fear of monsters as the most common among kids. Just imagine you forget your homework, so you shoved into a closet full of ghosts. Okay, in China, you are forced to lift heavy objects.
Some students were forced to hold heavy buckets of water. That's a fair punishment. You be naughty and you get a hench. Ooh.
And then finally, in North Korea, you get enlisted into the army. Many North Korean have to serve up to 10 years in the army from [music] the age of 17. 10 years of your life completely gone in North Korea all because you forgot your homework. But guys, that's all we've got time for today. That's the world's weirdest school punishments and some of them were really weird. I mean, forcing you to take off your clothes is uh probably the top of the list. But anyway, let me know down in the comments what's the weirdest punishment that happened in your school. And if you want me to react to any more videos, then also let me know what videos to react to in the comments. As always, like, comment, and subscribe and I will see you again next time with another crazy video.
