Why Do These Jews Argue Against Adventists Keeping the Sabbath?

[00:00:00]I hope you're ready for this one. We're going to listen to this video where in this YouTube channel, this is called Pasha Inspired. I'm guessing this is a Jewish run YouTube channel where they are trying to debunk Seventh Day Adventist position on the Sabbath because of what President Trump has done of that viral video that my brother in Christ strange normal Bradley had done 249,000 views and is continuing. Now there are three videos that I'm going to go through right now. So this is the video from the rabbis channel. We're going to hear part of that. And there is the strange normal video. You guys are familiar with that. We're not going to play that. As you can see, they are copying of that one to somewhat create their own version AI version of his thumbnail image. And there is a video from um X Ministries.

[00:00:57]I'm going to need you to watch this because you want to hear what this minister has to say. actually I use to listen to him in the past is not a 7day adventist but he's correct on many many things somebody many many things even some of some of the historical stuff he's done some of the research he's done he's even called out Sunday and showing where Sunday came from with Constantine even called it out still he keeps Sunday but at least you have an idea that this man tries but here is the thing let's hear part of their argument and what exactly are they saying when we made it on the Jewish radar you So, you need to be paying attention because even the Jews are beginning to talk about the Seventh Day Adventist people, right?

[00:01:40]Because they believe the Sabbath is not for us. Well, you're going to see the argument. It's no different than what the rest of the Christian world is saying, but at least from a Jewish perspective. So before I tell you the problem with this statement, I want you to check out this next clip and then we're going to get to how the Christians are interpreting this and then Rabbi Tovia Singer explaining and unpacking what's really going on. [00:02:05]>> In honor of the 250th year of the United States of America and in recognition of the contribution that the Jewish people have made to the history of the United States of America, President Donald Trump has proclaimed a Jubilee celebration, rededicate 250, and has called upon the Jewish people to observe a national shabas.

[00:02:33]No sitting president has ever called upon the Jewish people to observe a Shabas. In fact, no world leader in history has ever called upon the Jewish people to observe Shabas. Shabas proclaims to the world that the Jewish people are the beloved children of Hashem.

[00:02:54]>> That's true. And that's what makes it very disturbing from the Seventh Day Adventist perspective because we're like, "Wait a minute, that sounds like a religious man trying to again urging, encouraging. He's not legislating.

[00:03:07]Praise God." But that is still a serious move. That is a step right toward politicians declaring uh religious, you know, practice to be observed by all people, not just Jewish people, by all people. Of course, he kind of make rooms for some others to do things differently, but he's still calling for the seventh day Sabbath, which the true day to be observed. Now, you should say that is problematic. So, again, here comes Strange Normal.

[00:03:32]>> Six. President Donald Trump signed the Jewish American Heritage Month Proclamation. Standard issue. Every president since George W. Bush has signed one in May, but this one had something different in it. especially on Shabbat to celebrate our 250th year.

[00:03:58]All Americans, not just Jewish Americans, all Americans on Shabbat throughout the year. Stop and think about that for a second. When was the last time a sitting president of the United States called every single American to observe the seventh day Sabbath?

[00:04:18]The answer is never. Not George Washington, not Abraham Lincoln, not Reagan, not Obama, not Bush, never.

[00:04:26]>> Good point. Now, the next thing that the host is going to talk about now is the video that we are going to address in a minute. Let's take a listen.

[00:04:37]So, my friends, by now you figured out the problem. The problem is is that Trump didn't just say that Jews should keep the Sabbath. He said that all Americans should on Shabbat, on the seventh day, recognize that it is Shabas. And my question is, don't we know the Jewish law that the Jewish law says that a non-Jew cannot keep Shabbat and that Shabbat is a covenant with God?

[00:05:07]>> So era number one, did you hear that non-Jews cannot keep Shabbat? And I'm actually going to debunk this in part as well. So, let's go cuz he's going to now bring, you know, Rabbi Tovia Singer. Um, and he's the rabbi is going to go on to do his study. And actually, we've debunked this rabbi on our channel before. And I'm not going to make this whole video about debunking him. Let me show you. So, you see this video right here. I'm going to also link it at the top. Jewish rabbi has a message to all Adventist. It has 19,000 views. I did it uh five months ago. So, they're going to use this video to debunk the Seventh Day Adventist position on the Sabbath, but they're going to go even deeper than that to also say, and again, they are arguing something that we've argued and we agreed to, which is no political man should be enforcing religious dogmas in this sense, especially when it comes to the legislation of any of the first four commandments. That is a violation of religious liberty. But they are taking it from the perspective that no, it's because we are Jewish, therefore we have a right to the Sabbathkeeping and nobody else outside of Judaism should be keeping the Sabbath. So they're not making a new argument than the ones we've already heard from the evangelical world. They call it Jewish Sabbath. So this is only for Jewish people. If you're a Gentile, you out. So So there is that conception. That's what he's arguing in favor of and pushing back against Trump and at the same time pushing back against the seven minutes for keeping the seven-day Sabbath. So, they're making the Sabbath a very special thing only applicable to themselves. That's what they do.

[00:06:44]>> What we're going to do is we're going to look at Rabbi Tuvia Singer in the next clip explain something phenomenal which will change everything you thought about this rule. So if a non-Jew in there are really are different views on this, it is universal that the laws of Shabbas Sabbath is uncumbent upon the Jewish people alone. If a non-Jew decides that he's going to read a book Friday night and the lights had the the candles happen to all already be lit in his house, so it's all illuminated and then he goes to sleep and the next day he's reading and then the next day he has a a a cookie and then he has a he has a tuna fish sandwich. It just happens to be that for 24 hours straight or 25 hours straight he just didn't vi the shab he doesn't violate anything the he's not obligated to go and just light a fire and carrying all over the place he's not obligated to do that okay however however this is really what's forbidden to a non-Jew and that is to say that the covenant of keeping and observing the laws of Shabbat was given to the non-Jews as well Okay. Now again there are a number of opinions on this but this is my view of this >> that is if a non-Jew just there are many people who are not Jewish who just happen to be that they happen to not do anything they don't feel like it's a holy day I'm going to just enjoy myself they read a book they they they talk to their wife they play with their kids that they never violate chabas they don't violate any which is very easy to do because you're just eating and enjoying your family and so on they're not obligated to go light fires and turn light switches on and and carrying they're not obligated to do that. The only thing that in that is forbidden in my view there are some people who think that they have to violate Sabbath. This is not my view at all. It's just that what is forbidden is that a non-Jew should not say that the Sabbath laws are obligatory on the nations of the world. But they must recognize that this is a unique covenant given to the Jews. Okay, that's all.

[00:09:00]So, and again, like I've said, this is not a new argument. He's arguing the same position that the Sabbath is assigned between him, between them and God, right? This this is the same argument. And again, here is at the crux of the matter with many Jewish people.

[00:09:17]And I've actually debunked this and I can quickly show you how easy it is to debunk it. Two simple Bible passages can debunk this. And I will encourage you to watch my video where I went a little bit deeper into this cuz I did an entire presentation. But when you go to Genesis chapter 20, right, look at this. But the seven days is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall not do any work. Now thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy men's servant, nor thy maid servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy string that is within thy gates. So wait a minute, the stranger within the gates ought to keep the Sabbath as well.

[00:09:55]The strangers, these were not Jewish people in the ten commandments, the strangers ought to rest as well.

[00:10:03]>> [laughter] >> So now you may say their rest is different from the traditional practice of Judaism in Sabbathkeeping. Well, that's your problem. That's your interpretation. The biblical interpretation is Jews, non-Jews, everyone who believe in the God of Israel, you're supposed to rest. So now there is the other argument in the book of Isaiah. And this one I've actually I spent a longer period of time going through this. Uh it's in the book of Isaiah chapter 56. And I want you to notice what's highlighted here. He's talking about those who keep my Sabbath from polluting it. They take hold of my covenant, keep their hands from doing evil. So there is like a covenant that God is making with the people of the earth, not just Jewish people, because this is different than Jews. He's making a covenant with Gentiles. You'll see why. And he applies that covenant in that covenant, he uses the Sabbath as an entering wedge for this thing. Now look at this. He says, "Neither let the sons of strangers." We have the son of strangers that join himself to the Lord and speak saying to the Lord, the Lord utterly sent me from his people. So that means they weren't part of God's people.

[00:11:12]They weren't Jewish. At least if you want to work with the text in the context as well, they weren't part of God's people, but they joined themselves to the Lord and they are sons of strangers. So they're not Jews. Listen to this. Like the Unix or the second class of people, the Unix, they have a dry tree. So God is appealing to all these different classes of people to make this covenant in Sabbathkeeping unto himself. And then for thus sayith the Lord unto the unic that keep my Sabbaths and what happened take hold of my covenant. So the Unix themselves these are not Jews. These are not Jews.

[00:11:48]These are Unix. Some people have I mean I've listened to the rabbi trying to say no these are you know uh the lost tribes of Israel that are coming back. He's referring to them as sons of strangers.

[00:11:59]No, he's referring to them as Unix. No, that makes no sense. That's not true.

[00:12:04]So, now we have the sons of strangers.

[00:12:06]Again, the word covenant is mentioned.

[00:12:08]Look at this. And I I love this text, and this is where it really lands it for me. And I want you to notice what the Lord just do. He says, "For mine house shall be a house of prayer for all Jewish peoples only." Does it say that?

[00:12:22]He says, "For all people." So, there is a welcome of all people in the keeping of the Sabbath. Now verse 8, this is the slam dunk. This is what I call the slam dunk right here. The Lord which gatherth the outcasts of Israel. Now who are the outcasts of Israel? These are Jewish people who have been scattered. He gathers them. But look what he does after that. Yet will I gather others to himself. Who are the others? These are not the outcasts of Israel. These are other individuals who may not be part of Israel. He's gathering them. Look at that. He's not done. Besides those that are gathered unto himself. Mercy. So there are the others, the outcasts of Israel, there is all people, covenant, sons of strangers, the Unix, the Unix, gathering them unto his people. Friends, how can you read that and say the subject is only for the Jewish people?

[00:13:20]Like are you out of your mind? And again, Jesus already debunked this in a single text. In a single text, the Sabbath was made for man, not meant for the Sabbath. Now, but here is the thing we're dealing with. I I think and I'm going to call this out, and I called this out before some of our Jewish friend, there is some level of Jewish supremacy. There is this idea because of my Jewish blood, I'm something special.

[00:13:44]There is this idea I have a I have such a special relationship with God that nobody else is allowed to have like I do and therefore we have we are entitled to certain things the Sabbath we are entitled to that listen God had a Sabbath in Genesis before sin came into the world and there was not a single Jewish people in the garden of Eden so stop with that argument now let's go and address something and this is the part I want to use now this one is going to address the mentality of the Jewish folks. And again, friends, brace yourself, Jews, all you. Just a quick side note before we get into this. Listen, I do not agree with everything he has to say.

[00:14:29]There's some stuff he's going to say extra that I will say. Let's leave that out. But nevertheless, don't miss the larger argument that the minister is making here. I'm also going to make sure there's a link to his description below for his channel to give him credit for what he just did here. But I have nothing else to say after that one. We just might as well end the video cuz that speaks for itself. All right, friends. Let's get into it.

[00:15:35]Then he Isaac had Esau and Jacob, twins, same woman.

[00:15:40]But the the uh lineage went through Jacob. Jacob had 12 children by all kinds of women.

[00:15:48]And then through Judah came Jesus Christ.

[00:15:53]And that's what makes them chosen. They were chosen to do this. And they did it.

[00:23:14]Hybrid beings. Jesus had God's blood and it took dominance over Mary's female blood. Bloodlines. We are saved because of God's blood through his son and not our human blood. People may be of a human Jewish genealogy descendants, but without Christ's blood, they are just another human.

[00:23:34]The new covenant that redeems all mankind and elects them to Jew status is only through the blood of Jesus. We are all created from one blood, Adam's blood. If we are all descendants of one blood, how can a group of us be superior?

[00:23:50][applause] Jesus was born a Jew through a human genealogy and obeyed the Jewish customs sometimes and sometimes he defied them. He was showing that he was the fulfillment of the law and not bound to the law.

WHEN HE SET THE BUSH ON FIRE, HE CAUSED THE GROUND AROUND IT TO BECOME HOLY. But when THE BUSH THE FIRE STOPPED, THE GROUND'S not holy anymore. WHEN HE ENTERED THE TEMPLE, HIS HOLINESS FILLED the temple, HIS SPIRIT, AND IT WAS A HOLY PRESENCE. BUT WHEN HE LEFT THE TEMPLE, it was just a building. That's theophony. God's presence dictates where and what is holy. The holy land is not holy without God's presence. Why we calling it that? That's not the holy land. It's only HOLY IF GOD SHOW UP.

[00:27:26]OH, the hand claps. I see you. I'm not coming back next year. The holy LAND IS NOT HOLY. THE GROUND WAS HOLY AROUND THE BURNING BUSH because of God's presence at that moment. The ground is no longer holy because God's presence is no longer manifested there.

PAUL WANTED Timothy to accompany him, and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. So Paul wanted to take Timothy around some Jews that needed to hear the truth.

[00:29:02]He wanted them to hear the truth. So he circumcised Timothy. Said, "Timothy, you got to get circumcised to go with me here because these people need to see us as Jews so they'll receive us."

YET BECAUSE OF THE FALSE BROTHERS SECRETLY brought in who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Jesus Christ so that they might bring us under slavery to them we did not yield in submission even for a moment so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.

[00:29:34]So he's saying for this group they were using trickery. They wanted to catch us in some stuff so we not going we're not going to practice the Jew stuff around them with Titus. You don't have to be circumcised.

[00:29:52]So now, how you treat the Mosaic law matters.

[00:29:58]To contextualize to win is a permissible thing to do, but to be under the law puts the truth of the gospel at risk.

[00:30:04]There are some sects of Jewish people that believe Christ is the Messiah. But Zionist and Orthodox Jews are still waiting on a Messiah, which makes them lost and hellbound. If you do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, you will not be saved by him.
