I was just going to use a bunch of uh SMB, but I almost ran out of my SMB. So, at the last second, I said, "Fuck it. I'm going to [ __ ] put some ura in there." I put the ura in there, and that got rid of the nitric. And then, bam, I dumped the [ __ ] SMB in there. Fixed.

[00:18:22]Cheers. Sh. Um, so if you're using carrot gold, Aquaria isn't going to dissolve carrot gold. It's got too much silver in it.

[00:18:35]So, what you would do, right, is you want to take a bunch of copper. Get a bunch of clean copper and mix the copper with the gold. Melt down the copper. So if you got 10 g of gold, mix in 30 g of copper.

[00:18:59]Okay. Now what you'll do is you'll take and put that into some nitric acid. Be very very careful. It is very dangerous.

[00:19:07]It produces deadly toxic fumes. You do not want to breathe the gases that come off of this [ __ ] [ __ ] It will kill you. But anyway, then you take some nitric acid and you boil down your quarted gold with nitric acid.

[00:19:25]When you when you melt the the copper into the gold, pour it into shot. Take and pour it over a pot of water and just kind of splash it in there and little drips so that you get a bunch of little balls. This way it'll be easier for the the uh the nitric acid to work on it.

[00:19:42]Work the nitric acid and everything that's not gold will get dissolved into the solution. So you'll have a solution full of copper acetate or copper hydrochloride or whatever.

[00:20:04]All right. Now, once you get your you do your nitric acid soak and all of you want you to see it stop reacting, there's no more action, there's no more fumes coming in.

[00:20:18]Take that and rinse that with some hydrochloric acid.

[00:20:24]Take boil that, rinse it off real good.

[00:20:26]Take some water and stuff like that.

[00:20:27]Pour off your your solution.

[00:20:30]Don't pour it down the sink. Don't pour down the drain. This has got heavy metals in it. This is this is hazardous waste. Okay? If you're not going to process the hazardous waste, then either a don't do it. We don't want you to poison the [ __ ] environment. We don't want you to hurt yourself. We don't want you to do nothing stupid.

[00:20:48]You can take it to your your junkyard, your recycling plant, and they should have an area for waste solution, and you can just get rid of it like that. or you can go through the process of cementing out the metals.

[00:21:05]And so I use copper and I use uh galvanized metal and zincs and I use iron. And I basically end up with a solution that's got a little bit of zinc in it and a little bit of iron in it.

[00:21:18]And the zinc and the iron can go right down the drain. It can go into the environment because it's not going to hurt nothing. But the copper in solution and the gold and the platinum and all the other heavy metals in solution is no bueno. So if your gold isn't going into solution, it's because it's carrot gold and it's got to be imported with copper first or silver. But most people don't have a bunch of silver and to me it's easier to use copper because you get away from silver chloride.

[00:29:40]Listen, if you've got 10 grams if you got 10 grams of quarted gold, I mean of of karat gold taken it. There's a there's some mathematics to it, but basically you want three times as much copper as gold. So, take three times the amount of copper that you have gold and mix it with your gold. Pour it into the shot and it'll be fixed.

You got to use soap. Put some I I put some uh some distilled water uh some soap into distilled water and I just spray with a sprayer and let that spray kind of cover the whole surface and then you'll see them gold pieces that are floating. They drop down and they sink.

[00:32:52]And it's easy. It's easy. If you don't understand why uh the the aquaria can't melt down the uh carrot gold, it can be it can be described.

[00:33:17]or or or a chunk of gold as a uh as a Rubik's cube. All right, as a Rubik's cube. And the nitric acid can't penetrate gold. And so if there's gold in front of the silver, it's blocking it. Doesn't matter that there's silver around.

[00:33:39]If it's not all the way around, it can't the gold uh the nitric acid can't freely access that silver.

[00:33:46]So, if you take and increase the amount of silver, theoretically, you can increase the amount of gold, too. But I I don't think that'll work.

[00:33:58]Uh, a lot of people that do refining refine silver as well. So, you can take and quart silver and then just get your silver out back out of solution and refine silver. Then you'll have pure silver, too. Uh, that's a good way of doing it.

[00:34:14]Is distilled water heavier than regular water? I would imagine distilled water is lighter than regular water because it's lacking any kind of minerals. It's lacking any kind of uh salts or anything in there.

[00:34:28]Um, and this is why you want to use mineral water. Uh, I'll use tap water rinsing the final process. You know what I mean? But while I'm making everything in the stock solution, I try not to put tap water in there because it's got metals in the water that can [ __ ] cause [ __ ] to fall out and precipitate out of your solution. And then like when I precipitate my copper out, now don't get me wrong, I got a quarter pound or so. You know what I'm saying? I won't get 6 ounces of copper. I got 6 ounces of copper into my solution. All right.

[00:35:06]And so when I recover it, I'll have stupid clean, pure elemental copper.
