Had my wisdom teeth removed ...Añadido:
A really scary day for me. I have to get my wisdom teeth out. You'll be fine. I'm going to eat some pancakes.
>> [laughter] >> What?
Can [music] you even talk to us, Addie?
I can a little bit.
I'm going to eat a burger, y'all.
I'm so excited. Good morning, everyone.
And before we get into today's video, make sure to smash that like button and smash that subscribe button. Today is actually a pretty big day for me and a really scary day for me. I have to get my wisdom teeth out. I have to get all four wisdom teeth out today and I'm super duper scared. So, I thought I'd film a video on it because if I'm scared and I film a video on something, then I act like I'm not as scared.
Hello. Hi. Do you think I'm going to be loopy after I get my wisdom teeth out?
>> Yes. Do you think I'll say something really stupid? Uh-huh. Definitely. I'm excited. [laughter] Do you think it's going to be funny?
Yeah. Are you going to laugh at my pain?
>> [laughter] >> Okay.
I'm super jealous of my siblings right now because A, they don't have to get their wisdom teeth out right now. And B, they're eating really yummy pancakes and I haven't been able to eat since 12:30 last night. So, I have to watch them all eating these pancakes and drinking water and I can't do any of that until I get my wisdom teeth out. And then after that, I can't eat solid foods for like forever.
So, yay.
That'll be so fun. You'll be fine.
You'll be fine. I'm going to eat some pancakes.
What? Love you. Love you, too. Be in the surgeon's hands and guide him so that everything goes really smooth, help Addie's recovery, help her not be too loopy when she gets out, and just [music] help the recovery time this weekend be um as smooth as possible. We pray in your name. Amen.
Amen.
It's time for an Addie interview.
Addie, what are you most nervous about today? I think I'm most nervous about the IV cuz I have to get an IV in my arm. And like I have like a terrible fear of needles. Like I I hate needles so much. And one time I was getting a flu shot and I was so scared of the needle Dad said I like gripped the floor with my feet or something. Like I made myself like 5 lb or like five times as heavy and they couldn't pick me up cuz I was too scared of it and too like stiff and rigid.
>> [music] >> So I think I'm most scared of the IV and getting that done. This was Addie and her flu shot time.
She was holding herself down and nobody could pick her up.
You She She was little though. I mean you were like maybe I don't know.
Six, seven? Six, seven. Six, seven? Six, seven. Anyways, they had to pin me down to actually give me the flu shot.
So let's hope we don't have to get pinned down for the IV.
>> pinning down Addie today. Like my guess is we'll do like some type of like laughing gas first. You'll be out of it then they'll do the IV and you'll have no idea. But I hope they take it out before I wake up too. That they might not.
You'll be okay though. No like what?
We are officially leaving. I don't want to do this at all. And Mom was saying on the way out or before we left she's like I've got I've got to get my drink really quick before we go. I'm sorry. I forgot.
And I was like I've been thirsty all morning but I can't drink and she has hers.
Just right there. Her little ice yummy refresher. I'll have to have some in a week or so. You can drink before a week. So yeah, I'm really scared and it's like 10 [music] minutes away.
And I have 23 minutes until we're scheduled to have the surgery and I'm scared.
>> [music] >> When I was in my 20s, I had my wisdom teeth out, all four of them, and I remember it was a time where Jason and I had just gotten married. I was teaching.
We were just getting started. Money was really tight, and oral surgery is expensive. It's not cheap. And so, it was a stressor for us, and one of my students that I was teaching, a fifth grade student, her dad was an oral surgeon, and he did my surgery for me, and it was such a blessing because he did not charge me anything out of pocket. So, I got my wisdom teeth taken out for free, basically, which at the time, I mean, anytime, was such a blessing. And so, that has always stuck with me, and I always knew like from that moment on, like, when I'm older and I'm more established and have money to bless other people with, I want to make sure that I am able to do that and that I do that for people as well. And that's just been something that has stuck with me all these years. So, Dr. Fatahi from Southern California, if you're watching this, >> [laughter] >> thank you for being such [music] a blessing.
You guys, we're 3 minutes away, and I am freaking out right now. I've been dreading this like my entire life ever since I found out wisdom teeth surgery was a thing, like I've been scared of it. And now I'm 2 minutes away from like the place where I get mine out at.
Save me, please.
We are parked.
Building's behind us.
I don't think we can film inside. So, when I wake up, um you guys probably won't be able to see me right away. The next time you see us will be back here.
>> Right back here, probably. Mhm. So, wish me luck. Pray for me.
I'll need it.
See y'all in a bit.
>> [music] >> And we're back. We're back.
Can you even talk to us, Addy? I can a little bit. I can't feel my face. My mind is fine, I think. I'm really cold.
You're really cold? Uh-huh.
Yeah, you have a lot of gauze in your mouth right now. Yeah, I do.
>> [laughter] >> That is shivers. Mhm. Poor sweet girl.
Okay. It is now 9:50.
Her surgery lasted a little over half an hour. Had all four wisdom teeth removed.
Everything went well.
>> [music] >> No complications.
She woke up pretty groggy though and her her poor like body was just shivering and shaking, but we got the clear to head home now. So, you were most nervous about the IV and getting that put in.
How was that?
I was right. It was the worst part.
Um it hurt. And I was like, "Oh, it's okay. You won't feel anything." And then they did this giant pinch.
It hurt. And I sat there for another minute or so and like I was out.
I don't know when I woke back up.
I don't know how much of that you could understand, but she did say the IV was the worst part, but the IV's not too bad. So, if that's the worst part, right? It wasn't too bad. I think apparently like a couple days in that's going to be the toughest part when the when the pain's going [music] to be the worst, so. What you doing? I'm texting my friends.
My friend said, "I miss you. Good luck under anesthesia."
And I said, "Thank you." And sent a selfie like, "Huh."
And then I texted Mason.
>> [music] >> I just texted to him a selfie like, "Huh."
"I survived."
I'm glad you survived, Daddy. Me, too. I was worried. We're going to get going home now and hopefully have a relaxing day.
It's a Friday and my friends are still still in school.
I'd be in third period, so I'd be math right now and I'm not too worried about missing that class and fun.
I am worried about missing honors bio and my AP human geography class, but I think I'll be fine.
We'll see when I get back on how much I missed.
I am going to relax today and over the weekend get a lot of homework done.
A little tricky to understand right now.
A lot of gauze in that mouth. I don't feel as loopy as as I thought I would be. I'm just really tired and I kind of just want to go to bed.
So, I might do that, put on a movie and go to sleep.
That's my plan for when I get home.
Need help getting out?
>> Maybe.
You got this, girly. Yeah.
And now we got a whole bunch of stairs to get out. I'm going to go get a hoodie tomorrow. A hoodie from your You want me to get it for you? Hang a second.
Oh, you're going.
What you getting, Addy? A heated blanket. I'm really cold.
>> That sounds good. Let's go get cozy on the sofa. Yeah.
You're moving pretty well.
Yeah, it's hard, but it's fine. You greet Nattie Sandy.
You greet Nattie. Yes, yes, yes.
Let's see where she's going.
Over here. Get cozy.
Mhm.
Get cozy, girly girl.
Well, she seems to be doing well. She's turning on Drive to Survive to watch right now, which is her F1 racing show that she likes to watch. I got a goody bag from the doctor that I'm going to. Lots of gauze.
She has lots of gauze in her mouth. Um since she has four big holes, we have to change the gauze but every half hour.
I guess a syringe to clean out the holes. That sounds fun.
Oatmeal we have here.
And applesauce um because she has to eat mostly liquids for a while. Colder food, not hot food cuz I guess um the hot food can cause the blood flow and we want to limit the bleeding.
I'm going to have a lot of care instructions for the next week. Just relaxing and resting and hopefully it'll be a smooth recovery.
>> [music] >> I just came around the corner to ask her a question and it looks like she's already passed out and tired. Didn't take long.
>> [music] >> I was going to change my gauze and then I got really sweaty and really tired again.
And I just took my jacket off and [music] I'm laying on the floor right now. I'm about to fall asleep.
And it's really relaxing down here. Do you have any pain in your mouth? I can't feel anything. Like I can't I had a hard time swallowing the Tylenol cuz like [music] I can't feel my mouth still.
Like my lip feels massive. So, it's still pretty numb? Mhm. Yeah. Sorry, Carly.
>> [music] >> It's okay.
Hello, everyone. It's been a few hours, and I did sleep on the floor for a little bit. And then I decided to go sleep on my parents' bed with a heated blanket cuz I was still cold. And I saw Mom pulling up a recipe. I was like, "Ooh, what are you making for dinner?"
Forgetting that I can't eat it. She said, "Smash burgers." That's my favorite dinner ever that she's making when I can't eat it. I'm Okay, I meant to make it earlier this week. [snorts] >> Also when I wasn't there. But then the meat's not going to last much longer, so I kind of have to make it today or I'm going to waste the meat. So, I will make it again. So, I have to watch the whole family eat my favorite dinner ever. But Dad got her Smoothie King. Mhm.
Chocolate Peanut Power Plus Shake, which is delicious. Yeah.
>> She's got a delicious Smoothie King.
It's just not the same.
>> [laughter] >> So, I've been doing pretty good. My face is still like half numb.
And I'm not really feeling too much pain. I've been rotating Tylenol and Advil. And like the bleeding stopped and everything. So, there's not like too much else going on, but apparently the worst of the pain will be day two and three. So, that'll be fun to deal with.
>> [music] >> This is so good. Here I am in the kitchen after I just did a bunch of homework with my little can of soup that I'm waiting to cool to room temperature as my family is eating my favorite dinner ever right in front of me. And Dad is mixing up his burger right now.
>> This is so good. Just saying that it's I feel I feel bad for you, Addy. I don't But not bad enough to not eat it. So, I'm sorry. Love you. Love you.
Apparently, it's also my family's favorite dinner. Keto smash burgers on Pinterest. They're really good. They are so good and I cannot eat it and I'm stuck with my room temperature soup right now. Love you. So she's debating like cutting it up and eating. So I got out your rules. Like really tiny.
>> eat only soft foods such as mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, macaroni and cheese. Avoid hot foods for the first two to three days.
>> I can wait for it to cool. Soup, smoothies, and milkshakes are also good options. Avoid straws. So I can cut it up really tiny at room temperature.
Cuz it's like technically soft.
>> If you think it's soft enough you can give it a try. I can I can take the the little patty thing.
>> Here, okay. I can take that little patty off and the burger is soft and then I can mix it with like >> [music] >> tomatoes. Okay.
>> Okay.
>> I'm going to eat a burger y'all.
I'm so excited. Mom's making one up and she said Addy how about you film me making one up. So I have to watch her.
Stop.
>> [laughter] >> You guys are so evil. balls No lettuce.
That looks so delicious. It is. It's so good. I really want one.
>> [laughter] >> And I will be getting one once they're room temperature. Contains bioengineered ingredients.
Sounds delicious.
That sounds so appetizing.
My bioengineered soup. Yum.
It's not too bad but those burgers look so much better and I'm going to get a burger.
I'm so excited.
I'm making my burger right now and I have the burger without the bun that I'm going to cut up and I have I'm going to get a little tomato.
This looks good. And then I also want some sauce that I'll put on top of the burger and I'm just going to make a little burger salad out of this cuz I'm not going to eat it whole.
Am I good to put lettuce or no?
Okay, yay.
I'm going to put some lettuce on it cuz if I'm already going to like break the rules, I might as well break the rules a good amount.
So, this is my yummy burger. Yeah, don't do this at home.
But, I I really want this burger, so I am doing this at home. I'm making a little salad with little itty-bitty burger bites and tomatoes with the sauce on it. And this is my dinner now.
Doesn't this look so appetizing?
Could use a little bit more sauce though, so I'm going to do that. What's the verdict?
I'm fine. It's like room temperature now and I'm eating with my front teeth and it's so amazing and I'm so happy right now.
Before I go to bed, I just wanted to sign out this video really quick and say thank you so much for watching and I will see you guys in the next one. X X O. Bye. Oh, hello there. If you're seeing this and this is your sign to subscribe to my channel at Mykie Bug.
Thanks, guys. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you.
