[00:00:08]The moon orbits Earth, and as it does, its gravity pulls on the water in our oceans.

[00:00:14]It literally drags the water towards it.

[00:00:17]This causes the sea level to rise on the parts of Earth closest to the moon.

[00:00:21]That's what we call high tide, when the water rises up and covers the beach and the shoreline.
