Why protestants pray directly to God.

[00:00:00]the message of the New Testament is to focus on the person of Jesus Christ as our all in all. Yeah. And him being our mediator but but between us and God is incredibly significant.

[00:00:14]>> Yeah. And I think that one of the reasons why a lot of my Catholic brothers and sisters feel like they can't pray directly to God is because of spiritual insecurity.

[00:00:26]Mhm. They don't feel worthy to speak directly to God >> Right. through Jesus Christ. Um so sometimes praying to a saint um maybe feels more comfortable. Mhm. Um however in the book of Hebrews, we can see very clearly that we have been given permission to enter the holy of holies through the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus because he is now our mediator between us and the Father. Amen.

[00:01:10]Jesus Christ. Yeah. So if I'm going to build a theology of prayer and mediation the only wiggle room I've got is Jesus.
