The $50 XRP price target is mathematically possible but requires understanding that market cap is a byproduct of price action, not a barrier to it; price movements are driven by supply and demand mechanics—specifically, decreasing supply on centralized exchanges and increasing demand through ETFs and institutional investment—rather than simply maintaining a fixed market share percentage as the overall crypto market grows.

$50 XRP is just a DREAM...
Added:$50 XRP. It is just a dream. So, some will say today's video is going to be an interesting take on XRP's price action, the potential of price action, and what it could mean in the grand schemes of the entire crypto market. So, hi, welcome back to the channel. My name is Nick. I am from the Cheeky Crypto channels and I'm in the middle of absolute nowhere just to kind of give you a raw face to face kind of natural kind of communication chat. Yeah, general chat about what is going on with XRP's price action and what I think the future could look like for XRP. So, let's get into it, shall we? Right. So, there's been some some price predictions kind of batting around for a little bit, right? We all know that. We've seen them, right? We we've seen them on X, we see them on YouTube, we see them on social media platforms as a whole. And it can be a little bit confusing, right?
You're going to see $10, $20, $50, $100, $1,000, or even $10,000 XRP. And there's going to be all sorts of different timelines associated with that. Right?
Some people are going to say it's going to happen tomorrow. Some will say by the end of the month. Others will say that it's inevitable. It's going to be backed by gold and it's going to happen on August 29th, very specific dates. And of course, when people mention dates and a price target, it's going to open them up to, let's face it, being wrong or just pushing that out further and further and further. So, we are going to be honing in very specifically to the $50 target because it flagged up again within one of my news feeds and I thought, you know what, let's address it. Let's talk about the price action. Let's talk about how it could be possible for XRP to reach these numbers. how it could be impossible if you were to believe the critics and a lot of the myths and then bust a lot of those myths at the same time because it's not as easy as maybe it might sound on paper. So, that's what we're going to do. $50 XRP. Now, the news specifically that caught my attention was how XRP would be worth $50 if it can if it maintained its current percentage share of the entire crypto market and the crypto market were to balloon up to $100 trillion. Pretty crazy numbers, but the current share market share for XRP of all crypto is currently 3.13%.
So 3.13% is what XRP's market share is of all of crypto. Now that's not bad, right? But it is a lot lower than it was many years ago. In the very early days around 2017, 2018, XRP was actually significantly higher than the 3.13%.
So I think it's important that we kind of reflect on a couple of things here.
one 3.13% isn't isn't the highest it's ever been, but it could of course drop lower. And I think in many particular cases, we should probably expect it to do so, right? Holding a 3% share of an entire market that is worth hundred trillion is not the same as holding 3% of the current market, right? And obviously, we've seen over the years as the market has ballooned up, we've also seen the percentage that XRP has held drop down lower. So these two things are not anchored in certainty, right? These things, they are definitely going to kind of float around for a little bit, right? They're not going to always be static is kind of my point. We're going to see how the percentage potentially will decrease as this entire space blooms. Let's talk about the other side of that equation, too. Right? A hundred trillion dollars is a pretty big number, right? And to get to a hundred trillion dollars, we're going to assume several different things, right? One is that that money, that idea of market cap, which we'll get to in a bit, isn't necessarily going to come straight from cryptocurrencies as we know them today.
More likely, a lot of that value will come in the form of tokenized real world assets that sit on crypto rails. Now, this is slightly different as assuming that you're going to have all of that value flowing through a cryptocurrency.
That's not really what's going to happen here, right? you might have hundreds if not thousands of real world assets tokenized on the XRP ledger. Now that value sits on the XRP ledger but not sitting inside XRP itself. Okay, so these two things can be a little bit confusing um for many people who aren't necessarily kind of paying attention in the detail of it. But hundred trillion as a whole is very much possible if we factor in the real world asset tokenization. But I would expect that as the market balloons up, XRP share would decrease because the share is going to be heavily associated with real world asset tokenized tokenized real world assets rather than cryptocurrency assets. So that percentage share should also drop down. But that's the negative side of this, right? That is just kind of taking the headline figures and then just kind of actually debunking them.
But let's talk about how $50 would actually be a possibility because it is.
It's not an impossible idea. It's just going to have to come from a slightly different methodology, right? So, let's talk about that.
$50 XRP will require a significant amount of capital to flow directly in to XRP. But what people misunderstand here is the actual amount of XRP that needs to or the amount of money that actually needs to flow into XRP. People will assume that you're going to need trillions of dollars, right? Take the 100 billion um tokens, multiply it by 50. Your market cap is going to be $5 trillion, right? No, your your market cap might be significantly higher if you were to flow in a significant amount of capital like $5 trillion. You don't need the liquidity to match them at market cap because market cap in itself doesn't represent liquidity and liquidity of course is the depth of the orders the buyers and the sellers right and so we need to understand there is going to be a dramatic difference between the capital flowing in to XRP and the actual market cap itself. Right? So when we talk about $50 as a possibility, it is very much a possibility with actually significantly less inflows than what a lot of people would believe. So specifically, we have documented in fact during some of the market crashes for XRP of 2025, we saw it might have actually been early 2026, the dates are a little bit fuzzy to me. We saw multiplications of over 500x. Now what that means is a million dollars flowed into XRP but $500 million was added to the market cap. The actual purchasing power that was only a million. Now these are hypotheticals.
They're not the exact numbers cuz I don't have them to hand. But it gives you an idea, right? that liquidity, the buying volume, the pressure on the system is vastly different than the actual market cap number. The market cap number is just a result of the price action and the price is what dictates that market cap. So let's just debunk the whole market cap thing because it is just a byproduct of the price action and it cannot be a barrier to the price action because that creates a circular calculation.
So we can now establish that we need significantly less we need significantly less inflows than maybe the market actually kind of prices in or even understands. Right? So we could see modest inflows generate a significant amount more price action for XRP. Let me just duck under this tree here. Bit crazy out in the wild. Um, but basically it's actually quite cool under the tree, out of the sun. Um, so let's talk about Standard Charted here because they've actually been predicting that the XRP ETFs could swallow up to $8 billion.
Now, at the moment, we're about $1.4 billion, and we're holding that dollar line quite comfortably at this point in time. So when we start reflecting on the demand that some of these legacy institutions are predicting is significantly higher than what a retail investor would actually kind of fathom.
And we kind of get used to these big numbers, right? We talk about millions, we talk about billions, trillions, and in some cases we even talk about quadrillions, right? And so the numbers they start to kind of lose their meaning to a degree. But if we were to see an additional $7 billion of capital flowing directly into the ETFs, the price is going to respond insanely hard because the sell side's pressure has already started to ease off. And we've already seen how the uh the centralized exchanges are starting to lose their reserves of XRP. We spoke about that the other day in another one of these kind of wild walking talks, right, where the price action, I say the price action, but the reserves of XRP on the actual um exchanges, it's they've been decreasing pretty steadily for the last little while, right? Over the last kind of probably 12 months or so, we've seen steady decreases of the reserves on places like Coinbase, Binance, Upbit, and many others. And so we kind of have two parts of a very simple equation of supply and demand, right? So as we kind of see there's a potential for demand comes in through regulated ETFs through clarity act kind of cementing in the commodity status and then we can see that the supply on centralized exchanges is already decreasing and that's basically all you need for your price action. You want to see less sellside pressure and you want to see more buy side pressure. And that is ultimately what is actually happening for XRP albeit much slower than the retail investor actually wants. Right? The retail investor they want results and they want them yesterday. But we've actually seen over the last 12 months a steady accumulation by XRP Wales. Over 4 billion tokens in the last 12 months has changed hands. Retail investors have capitulated and sold to patient holders.
At the same time, those holdings have flowed away from centralized exchanges.
And whilst all of that is going on, the demand side of the equation is also bubbling up. Right? We can see that we have the potential for mass ETF demand to come on in as well as the ability to see that the um the Clarity Act could completely change the dynamic of the market. Now, none of this is a guarantee. Of course, I'm not going to be here selling you that $50 is is a guaranteed thing that it's going to happen. What I am saying is mathematically it is possible, right?
Might not happen today, might not happen tomorrow, but mathematically there isn't anything really stopping it. As long as there's an increase in the demand and there is a decrease in the supply, those are the only two things that matter.
market cap will just simply be a result of whatever that equation tells us. And so that's the kind of the thing that I wanted to kind of let you guys know today, which was that although $50, $100, $1,000, they might get the headlines, but they don't really break down the mechanics of why. You can't simply just take a market share today of 3.13% assume that the entire crypto market balloons up and that XRP is going to keep that share because it won't. Right?
XRP is a different digital asset. It's not going to rise with everything to that kind of degree. We are talking about a 98% move in total market capitalization and you want XRP to keep its 3%. It's incredibly unlikely. possible, yes, but not probable, right? And so I think it's very important that we kind of reflect on what that actually means as a whole.
It doesn't mean that $50 is impossible.
It just means the journey to get there, it comes from a totally different place.
We should all be focusing on the supply and the demand. Are XRP tokens leaving exchanges? Right? Is there demand for XRP? Where is that demand coming from?
Is it coming from ETFs from the ability for you know institutions with clarity to invest in XRP? Is it coming from retail investors who are FOMOing in at the top? Is it coming from you know the actual use cases that people need it for crossber settlement for tokenizations for treasury management? There's a whole host of different reasons that demand could increase. And so we need to stop thinking about magical kind of percentages that are going to send the market to the moon and we need to start reflecting on what actually is going to generate that real world demand and what is also going to shrink the supply from the places where it's available. Right?
Because if we can do that then and only then can $50 be more realistic in the eyes of retail holders. There's a helicopter just just flying above me. So hopefully you guys heard what I had to say. You never know because there was a tractor over there, a helicopter up there. And uh that's the beauty of being in the middle of absolutely nowhere, I guess. So yeah, guys, let me know what your thoughts are on all of this in the comments down below. And while you're at it, you might as well smash that like button if you like this kind of content.
