Livestock trading across the Republic of Somalia will continue until May 25th, according to Adam Barado, owner of the Al-Jabiri Livestock Market. He said the market is currently experiencing one of the busiest trading periods in recent years, driven by rising demand from local and export buyers. Adam Barado told reporters that livestock prices have reached record levels during the current trading season. He stated that animals previously sold for around 70 US dollars are now fetching prices of up to 200 US dollars due to increased competition among traders and exporters, particularly during export seasons when large number of animals are shipped to foreign markets.
