[00:00:08]And in this series, I'm going to show you exactly  how and why we build it. Most Bluetooth hardware gives you a companion app that talks to a handful  of locked down commands. LumiBand exposes full GATT, which means your browser can talk directly  to the hardware. No app, no middleware, no API, just web Bluetooth and a UUID. I'm opening a  browser. This is Chrome on a Mac. No extensions, nothing installed. The pairing dialogue is  native browser web Bluetooth. The page is directly talking to the nrf52832. I am writing  directly to GATT characteristic here. The band receives it and updates immediately. Color,  animation speed, mode, whatever the characteristic controls. Every function on the band has its own  characteristic. If you can write a fetch request, you can control this hardware. The reason this  matters is that it completely removes the app layer. Anyone who understands Bluetooth LE  can build their own interfaces. A web app, a script, a browser extension. The hardware  is open to whatever you want to build on top of it.
