Black Americans often exhibit defensive behavior due to centuries of systemic oppression, discrimination, and constant threats, which creates a community-wide mindset of vigilance and self-protection; this defensive posture is a natural response to historical trauma rather than inherent aggression, and understanding this context is essential for meaningful cross-cultural dialogue.

Mexican Asked This Question And Things Go Left😲Added:
Why is it when most black Americans don't get their way, they tend to resort to violent matters?
Are you serious?
That's a genuine question, ma'am. I'm up here trying to have a educated discussion.
>> generalizing.
I'm not I'm not generalizing. I'm just >> you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you you >> Hold on, Karen.
It's okay. We welcome all questions. I'm saying like I'm just trying to have an educated discussion.
>> DTX. Let me answer your question. Uh Landlord.
Yeah, I'm listening. You want to give it a go or you want me to?
I mean, I understand I actually understand a little logic behind this question.
>> Exactly, bro. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Um now, whether he's sincere in his uh wanting to know, that's another story.
But, um my opinion would be most my people most black people got a lot on their plate.
And so, we ain't got a lot of room for nonsense. So, it's probably easy to push us over the edge with unnecessariness.
And a lot of times, our encounters with total strangers is definitely unnecessary.
And so, that's easier for you to get that other side of us, that ouch ouch part.
And so, um I don't say it as being easy, but it's kind of normal in our community because we live in a defend we stay on defense.
You know, we live we wake up on defense, we go to sleep on defense.
And so, it's very hard it's difficult for us to be offensive.
And so, when anybody in here acts with us, we deal with it in a defensive way, just naturally.
Once you pass the you okay test, then we allow you in. But, other than that, it's you going to get defense all the time, even in church.
>> [laughter] >> So Okay. Let me respond. Let me respond to him in his um in a way he'll understand. Just know this, we're not no illest, but don't push us. No, no, no. I want to I want to ask a van uh Mr. Vander something. You said >> want to I want to say something, too. Go ahead and ask him. Okay, uh you said uh if you you got to push us to get a reaction. I completely understand that. That's normal for anyone. Uh but I just want to go back to what you said like since we're not a part of y'all like what do you mean by that? You saying I'm not just because I'm not black like I I should get treated differently in the black community.
>> Wait, what what are you DTX?
Right. Um I'm Mexican and I'm half black.
Oh, okay. So hold on. Half black, what type of black?
What you mean what kind of black? I mean my my >> you know, if African No, no, no.
Like is your other the the parent you calling black if they from Africa, if they black American, if they Jamaican black, like what type of black? Uh no, she's black she's a black American.
Okay, so Well well why you should know that question. And let me let me let me you should you should know the question if you was raised in black American culture. You you you know, you should know that question.
>> You know, I have, but like you know, every single time I go to school like you know, me growing up I've been to school like primarily you know, black American school like that's the type of [ __ ] I've seen.
>> but hold on. We normally with our biracials and bi-ethnics, if you was raised with us, it's no like you know what I mean? You it's no way possible you would other yourself. Like you wouldn't feel so different. And let me say this, can you imagine after four or 500, maybe 600 years for some people of going through the most horrific things imaginable to a people, constantly getting knocked down from start to finish. You know what I mean? Always um under attack by every group that comes to your country. Always having to be on offense or defense. And sometimes when you give people a chance and you let your your guard down, you you know, you get betrayed in some kind of way. So, you always got to be on guard. You always you know Hold on. Hold on. So, can you imagine? Can you imagine why people it have a quick reaction? Do you Can you imagine how much Black Americans been through in this country?
>> I I get you. I hear you. I'm hearing you out on everything. But, that that's the same exact thing that Black people like to bring up when there's other cultures that have been enslaved, that have >> Okay, hold on. So, you Why do Why do Mexican kings call Black Americans the hard ER? Why is that Why Why is that?
Uh that Nobody in my circle calls Mexicans >> I believe they do. But, your group is cuz I believe you you identify more with your Mexican side because you wouldn't be asking this question. You would Because we we Mexicans are are are better in every single way. I've never seen a Black man wake up at 5:00 in the morning >> give me some Give me three um Mexican inventions that's used globally.
I the [ __ ] No, I don't know. I'm just going to give you a realistic scenario.
I'VE NEVER YOU SAID Y'ALL BETTER. WE GOT over 50,000 Black American patents. So, you tell me what's uh Give me three things Mexicans have invented that's used globally. Oh, I got you. Uh three things that we invented globally. We not that big. We can wake up at 3:00 in the morning and go work 16-hour shifts.
