Communities come together to honor victims of tragedy through celebrations of life, which serve as important rituals for collective mourning and remembrance. These events provide a space for community members to share memories, express grief, and support one another during difficult times. The celebration of life for Danielle Jackman, held at Smitty's Place in McKeesport, exemplifies how local communities organize gatherings to remember individuals who have passed away, bringing people together to celebrate their lives and support each other through shared loss.

Celebration of life to be held for one of the victims in Fort Duquesne Bridge crashAdded:
6:06 now, and a little more than a week ago, two people lost their lives in a crash on the Fort Duquesne Bridge.
>> And tonight, a celebration of life will be held to honor one of those victims.
Jessica Reilly joining us live this morning in McKeesport with how Danielle Jackman is being remembered. Good morning to you, Jessica.
Good morning, David and Erica. Well, many are saying Danielle Jackman was just an amazing person, a friend and a colleague, and her celebration of life is going to be held here in McKeesport tonight at Smitty's Place. It's a place she worked in a local bar here in the community. She tragically lost her life last week. And looking at your screen now, this is her. She was one of two people that lost their lives in that horrific crash near the Fort Duquesne Bridge last Wednesday. She was remembered by many as a loving person.
The celebration of life for Danielle will take place here at Smitty's where she worked about two days a week. It'll begin at 7:00 with a memorial gathering and a karaoke and a celebration of life will follow at 8:00 p.m. The bar owner here at Smitty's Place, David Feiner, spoke to KDKA last week when Jackman lost her life, telling us she was a friend and this is just a tragic loss to their community.
Somebody you can always rely on, somebody that you could talk to whenever you were having issues. Like a family that times you'll go go at it, but she would always be the one who would be like, "Okay, let's work through whatever the issues are. Let's Let's figure out what the solution is to any of the problems that may occur."
If you do plan on attending the memorial service, which anybody is invited, there's going to be two lots here near Smitty's Place that will be for parking.
And Smitty's Place on their Facebook has a map to that. So, if you want to look more specifically, you can head there.
And if that parking is full, you can do side street parking as well. Again, that begins at 7:00 here at Smitty's Place in McKeesport. In McKeesport, Jessica Reilly, back to you.
