My name is Deborah Anne Matthews. Please come in and let me know that you're here. Let me know where you're calling from and let me know that you can hear me. We did good earlier today when I did the live, but a few days ago, for a couple of days, every time I started doing the live, I couldn't hear. So, I just wanted to come on. Honey, it is 12:51 57 at night. I'm wide awake and I've been applying for some part-time jobs.
I'm ready to go back to work. part-time that is and I'm ready to just get moving. So, I'm very very motivated. And what I found is that there are lots of jobs out there. If you have the right experiences, if you don't know what experiences you want to give an employer, then you're not going to you're going to your jobs are just going to be vague.
Oh, this is the back of my earring.
Y'all, guess what? I'm hot. You know what? This thing on my head is hot. I'm going to turn my air conditioner up when I get when I get up in the morning. I think that's what it is. Or could it be that I'm under two blankets? Could that be? So, hello. Hello. Hello. Good morning, David. KP-Q9P.
How are you? I am okay. And I'm talking about everything but who I am and what my channel is about. My name is Deborah N. Matthews, y'all. Hey. And my channel is called Lose Weight With Me. So, I thought that I I actually Hey, Chris Benjamin 5564. How you doing? Happy Tuesday. I found a beautiful job that fits me perfectly and it required a video. So, I decided to to uh shoot a video and my sister sent my stuff and she gave me this beautiful scarf. Isn't it cute? You know what? This might be making me hot, too. Cuz you know, if you cover if you cover your head and your neck, it'll warm your whole body up in addition to two blankets over my legs.
So, that may be why I'm hot. But this is so cute. I was like, "Thank you, sister, for giving me this beautiful scarf." So, I might wear it tomorrow.
But any case, y'all, I wanted to come on. Um, I definitely am in my weight loss journey. I lost six pounds last week and I lost 10 pounds between the 25th of April and the 7th of May. So, that was good. That's 15 lbs, 16 lbs.
Now, this last week, I got to knock out at least five more pounds. And then in June, I'm going knock out 20 more pounds. So, what I want to do is when I can get to 3.99, I'm going to start the countdown. It's going to be 3.99, 398, 397. Then it's probably gonna go back up to 3.99, 398, 397. Baby weight loss does that. So, I put in my um tag the copy of the program that I use and that's Dr. Joe's. The first class was called Chosen. The time is now and the second class is called the journey. Now, your weight has to be lower or at least the same as it was when we left. So, I got five more pounds to lose to get back down, which is totally normal. If you are on a weight loss journey and you go up and down, it's totally normal. So, relax. Because if you don't relax, then you're not going to be able to um you're going to stress out. You're going to increase your cortisol level. Your nerves and your anxiety going to go skyhigh and then it's going to hold on to the weight. So, the key is you got to relax and stay hydrated. So, I'm excited about this. Dr. Joe is absolutely fantastic and this way that he has taught us how to eat. I have detailed it in the book where I lost 38 pounds in 31 days. Thank you. So, I wanted to talk to y'all about what we we have a weight loss support group. Anybody can join. It's absolutely free. It's at 400 PM every Monday with Michelle Pettis. We've been interviewing her with her on my channel for two years. So, today Deborah G said something very impactful. She said, "Find something else to get addicted to." Okay. Now, is that not wonderful?
Miss Deborah need to get addicted to folding up her clothes on her bed.
That's what she need to get addicted to.
you know, get another addiction, girl, instead of food. Now, look at here. This earring been coming out. But anyway, y'all already seen this earring, so I'm going take it off. Thank you so much. I appreciate your support. I really, really, really, really do. So, what I'm actually working on, I was What? How do you plan your meals?
Let me tell y'all what I got. I got a buttload of lettuce in that refrigerator right here in my room. So, I was like, I need something to eat with this with this lettuce. So, I'm going to get Let me put my pillow right here so I can write on it. I'm gonna eat bacon. I used to one summer I ate bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches all summer and I lost 15 pounds. So, I have Where is it? I didn't even put it in the refrigerator.
I just put a little thing over it because I'm I'mma wake up in about three more hours. So, then in four more hours going to be time to eat. But see this big old package of lettuce? So, I can eat bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches with just this lettuce. So, I'm going to order some tomorrow cuz I only ordered one piece of lettuce.
And so, if you kind of get excited about what you want to eat, oh, y'all come on in. It's like 20 people in this group.
Come on in here. Then it'll be great for you because you'll be enjoying yourself eating something different and having a good time. So, I thought about what I have in my refrigerator that I want to eat. I've been eating a lot of fish and some chicken this since like last Wednesday, Thursday. So, I really want to eat turkey sausage and turkey bacon.
And I want to make a a cold broccoli salad. So, I looked it up. And so, what I'm going to get, well, first I'm going to ask my coach. I text my coach and said, "Can I eat this?" So, if I take a raw broccoli and cut it up, sunflower seeds or slithered almonds, he's probably going to tell me to go for with the almonds versus the sunflower seeds.
red onion. I have a red onion already here. He told me that I can't eat cheese. So, it says sharp cheddar cheese. So, he told me I can't eat cheese. So, he's probably gonna say no to that. And it says dried cranberries or dried tart cherries. He's he's not going to let me eat dried cranberries because that has lots of sugar in it.
They coat all this stuff with sugar. And then extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and dijon mustard. So, I'm going to ask him. He's not gonna let me put honey in it. And I got some garlic and then sea salt, but I have a little bit of I have a little bit of pink salt.
So, he told me to put pink salt in my water. So, I put it in my food sometimes, too. So, um that's what's going on there.
And then what else am I going to eat?
So, I gave TAG GPT a list of ingredients of things I want to eat. It gave me some ideas, but I'm like, so, um, I told TPT I want to boil eggs, but I'm really excited about frying eggs. And, um, I want to do turkey bacon. So, it gave me this recipe. It said two boiled eggs.
That was the top to my earring. It fell in my bra. Two boiled eggs, two slices of turkey bacon, two slices of grain bread, tomato slices, peppers, and turkey deli meat. That's too Oh, those are the ingredients. That's too much food for one meal. But that's only 390 calories. So, my goal is to eat 400 calories per meal. So, that's okay. But I'm I've been making fried eggs all last week, and that was really nice. I did fried eggs and like um some spinach on top and just eat it like a open air sandwich. And then another thing I really want to eat is some grits. So I know once July hit, I'm not going to be able to eat grits. So um I'm going to do grits with a turkey sausage.
And it says one boiled egg, peppers, tomato slices, and that's 3.95 calories.
And it it says add light vinegarette or vinegar. Don't nobody put no vinegarette with no grits, girl. But anyh who, I also want to eat spaghetti this month.
So, how can I eat spaghetti and keeping with a nutritious spaghetti? The way I'm going to do it is I'm going to put ground chicken and ground turkey, onions, and peppers, and of course, tomatoes in my as my vegetables. And then you take 34 cup mixture of spaghetti. So, that's 250 calories. And then I'm going to couple that with the side salad, which is 50 calories. It tells you to add the grain bread. I'm not going to put bread with that because that's 70 calories. And then what I'm going to do is I'm going to increase the spaghetti mixture to one cup because 3/4 cup is too is too little. You got to eat enough. So, if I have one cup of spaghetti and then um I think and then a salad, I think that'll be good. But I'm not going to eat that. I'm gonna eat that towards the end of the month. Well, actually, when the day I'm planning to eat it, I have to weigh in two days before. So, I might just make a half of a serving and then eat it after the 27th. Eat one on the 25th, nothing on the 26th, eat and after I weigh in, then eat it 27, 28, 29th, like that. So, that's going to be my end of the month.
And then because I lost five pounds eating um the 21 grain bread, then I can make openf face sandwiches with turkey and tomato and or with lettuce. So those are kind of the things I want to eat this time around.
So that's kind of what's on my mind.
I've been getting really bad apples, really bad oranges. So, I'm going to not eat those for a while and just try to eat something different. And that's kind of what I feel like eating for the next little bit. Well, after I get through eating all these chickens.
So, what are you guys thinking about eating? How are you planning your meals?
Anybody got any recipes that look good to you? Is it good to you? I like it.
And I might get some more miniade zero sugar as well. It only has five calories. I could very well just take some lemons and make some lemonade, but I only would put just lemons and water in it because I wouldn't really put any sugar in it. And this actually has two carbs, 50 milligrams of sodium, zero sugars, and zero added sugar. So, but it has 3% lemon. So, it has some fake food in there, but it really tastes good. So, I might get this again because it balances out. So, anyho, what what y'all thinking about eating? Anybody got some ideas on some recipes that they really enjoy eating and that you're planning to do a grocery list this week?
Anybody? Anybody gonna come in and hit the like button? Three of you all have the like button. Please hit the like button, y'all. So, oh goodness. Um, I've been, if you look at my post, you'll see the people who've given me donations.

And if you would like to donate, look in the descriptions and donate. The difference between now and last year is my wheelchair was working. My wheelchair has been broke since November. They have they said they don't know if when it's going to be finished fixed. So, I'm either going to have to fix one of my old wheelchairs, which that's over $1,000, or rent a wheelchair. And the other day I called and they don't have they have plenty of wheelchairs, but they don't have them in my size. I'm like, why? They're like, because we don't rent them a lot and it's costly. I was like, that's not fair.
But that's how they do us, child.
That's just some tea and water mixed together.
I don't really mind having to pee in the middle of the night. I just drink water whenever I want to because I have to get water in. I have to drink really I have to drink two gallons of water a day just to get enough water for the day.
And I have to drink eight bottles of water for one gallon. So really I I drink about a gallon a day, but I need to drink two gallons a day. So that's why anytime I can, I drink water. I bought four gallons of cases of water and I put them in the hallway and when I get ready to come in my room, I just throw these bottles, throw eight of them in my room. I bought 12 gallons of one gallon water because the key for me is to stay hydrated. The key for you is to stay hydrated, too. You don't want your kidneys to go bad. And remember them people in the medical facility, they want to see you get on dialysis because they make money when you get on diialysis. And so, I don't want that. I don't want that. So, that's why I take my time, plan my menu. I take my time and go to my weight loss classes. I take my time. And what I'm doing right now is getting rest. I am just taking extra time to rest. I'm ready to go back to work. And of course, exercise will be my priority. I won't work on the days when I train with my coach, but I will um incorporate different exercises. And I am gonna go back to the pool, but I may have to go um on different days than I've been going or maybe just one day a week because I want to get back to work cuz it's time to, you know, it's time to make some stuff, shake some trees and make some stuff happen. It's time to make my goals come true. It's time to get my house in order. It's time to tie up loose ends. It's time to drop 100 pounds this summer. So, I'm I'm just looking forward to all of that and it's time to continue to calm myself down because the essence of my weight loss is managing stress. If I don't manage stress very well, then I'm going to be right back in the same boat that that I was when my doctor made me quit my job.
And I think that if you have a weight problem, many times it is how we deal with stress. So, learning to be calm and collected, take a deep breath. I really should be sleep right now, but that's okay. I have narcolepsy. So, years ago, the doctor told me, "If you are not sleepy, wake up." So, I'm like, "Okay."
So, I don't get too stressed out about that anymore. But I am going to relax. But let me tell y'all some stuff we learned today in my weight loss group. And um one of the things Michelle said is that we can make choices that serve our health if we want to. We are constantly making decisions based on what's important to us. So you have to get to the point where you decide that hey my health, my weight loss is important enough to me that I'm going to take time to figure it out. And you can't figure it out by yourself. You can eat by yourself. You can go through the drive-thru and order something by yourself. Who among us haven't done that? You can go anywhere and order a big old appetizer and a meal and a diet drink.
But if you really want to be successful in your health change and your weight loss, you do it in community. And so that means you do it. It's something about being around people who are also working on their weight loss. It's something about that that's powerful.
So, um, and Deborah D said the best thing. She said, "Get addicted to something else."
And I love that. I love that. I love that. And, um, oh, this is another affirmation.
I can create peace for myself. I create peace for myself. When I have peace, I don't have to think about the food. And that is the truth. Truth. Truth. Truth.
And the truth. And that's where we want to be. We don't just want to lose weight. We want to not get in the situation that caused us to eat for reasons other than hunger, nutrition, and energy in the first place. Make sense?
Okay. Well, I'm not going to keep y'all because I got to let my phone charge and I also got to go to sleep because I'm going be getting up in about three hours. And so, I just wanted to come on and just talk to you'all about my menu.
talk to you all about not all of those who wonder are lost because that's my journal and just let you know we can do this. We simply can lose weight. We simply can work on improving our health. We can improve our blood pressure, our kidneys, our um liver, our water intake. We can we can improve the way we feel. We can improve if we get a headache. Nine times out of the ten if you get a headache, you probably dehydrated or it may be sinuses. We can improve all of that. You can even get off your allergy medicine.
When I went to the um the holistic doctor seminar, see my face is hurting right here. That's a sign of allergies.
So, I might take my allergy pill tomorrow, but I don't want to take it. My brother don't take no allergy medicine. He just go through the discomfort.
But in either case, I am strong. I am woman. Hear me roar. I am a weight loss warrior. I can do this and you can too.
