Running Nowhere Fast (Spring2026)Added:
Ah, yeah. That's the southbound Z.
Came in kind of late today. Couple hours.
Yeah. Yeah, the train we're going to be waiting on came in at a reasonable hour last night. So, see what it does tonight. It was crazy long, too.
I I don't think I've ever seen it that long.
That Yeah, we just been didn't really have much to do today, so just hung around right in here in the shade.
>> Yeah, I'm going to put my wallet away if you want your card.
>> Oh, well, thank you.
I remember when all these trees were just nothings. Oh, [ __ ] They weren't even here, actually. And I think they're crab apple trees. I don't know if this one is. This one is.
Where did I see one? I thought I did.
Maybe. Yeah, I guess I'm lying. Never mind. Could have sworn I seen one.
>> What? These little things. Oh, I guess then I was just looking at a leaf and thought it was a little crab apple.
>> Oh, no. That's what maybe these turn into.
>> No, I don't.
>> Berries. Yeah, >> I apples start small. I guess they're a little bit bigger than that.
>> Yeah, cuz these are like I think these are just like little like weird scrub trees or something.
It's nice they're here though, but eventually they will cut them down again.
Bet you once they get high enough up to those power lines, they will come and cut them all down.
It's crazy. There ain't too many camps out over here nowadays.
Like I was saying, there was a bunch further down, like a ways down.
But down over here, it's a ghost town.
There's this one old dude that we've been seeing here since 2017, I think.
He's been here ever since.
They have people come and go out of here. Well, not they're not people riding trains. There's that as well, but folks who just uh you know, do their thing or whatever and live out over here.
There's only one that I have seen that's been here a long time. All the rest either died or moved on or I don't know got their [ __ ] together.
But yeah, we got to wait for that guy just came out of the yard. So he's waiting to depart and then hopefully Yeah, that yard dog looks like he's going back. So good. So, as long as he departs and we seen the crew van go and run the uh conductor up.
Yeah, they're doubling up to throw on mids on some of these. So, which is nice.
It uh gives you more options to where you can get on the train. Some you don't need to bottleneck all up in the same [ __ ] spot.
Two, Walmart's cheaper.
I don't mind giving money to Bob's, but >> but not paying $5 for canned food.
>> Yeah, he he gets you for the canned food, man. Or any of that [ __ ] >> And the sandwiches aren't even >> Yeah, the sandwiches are crap now.
His daughter's sweet though. I love her.
She always gives me [ __ ] something free every time I go in there. Donuts or something.
That dude, they help out everybody.
They have for years, years and years and years. And now they too or it's been like this now for a couple years where they don't care that anybody sits like out in front of there in like panhandles or whatever the [ __ ] They used to not dig that [ __ ] at all.
Or I think it was the um Roseville PD that probably used to [ __ ] give them [ __ ] about it, but now they don't. Officer Flood ain't around no more. For any of you who were around in those days, that guy's [ __ ] long gone.
We heard through the grape vine. I don't know how true it is or whatever, but that he's a public um drives public transport, you know, like a public bus, city bus um up near like Truckucky or some [ __ ] like that. That's what we heard. I don't know how true that is. And I'd imagine by now if he was doing that, he's probably retired from even doing that.
But he ain't around in Rosville no more.
That's the cop who like helped crack the case for there was a kid that was murdered up the way about I don't know what mile and a half two miles from here. They found him in the creek bed.
The dry creek is the name of the creek.
But Officer Flood like had something to do with uh helping solve the the case or whatever. I guess I never met the guy or no, I met him once way out at by the Galleria. Me and So got off a train out kind of near there went out to go fly a sign and um yeah, for some whatever reason he showed up. Yeah. And he he knew Sylvia, dealt with her for years.
And yeah, anyone who rode in like the early teens, two like ' 08 or even before then dealt with that guy.
Everybody Everybody knew that [ __ ] dude.
>> I think he quit coming around in like 13 or >> No, cuz we seen him that up there. That was like the year I think we got together. So like for 2014 is when we seen him up there at the Galleria.
But yeah, the guy was I don't know. I've heard horror stories from people. Not like super bad. This dude was a dick.
But I think probably meant well. I don't [ __ ] know. Who knows?
Try to scare people off of uh the wrong path in life, you know.
But all right, we all shoot down there.
Sure.
>> All right.
Coming in early, man.
Be a late night in Sparks, Reno, I mean. All right, we got on.
We're on pretty far back. So Noah said he's seen a train hopper in the Walmart today. train hopper >> and his white shirt was brown and he looked super cool. He had his pants rolled up.
>> You could tell the difference between like the ooles and the super cool kids.
>> Yeah. You can tell the like the breed, you know what kind of >> like if they're hippies?
>> Yeah.
>> Dirty kids, the the train riders to the hobos.
>> Yeah.
the summer weekend warriors, you know, and then it goes on. The list does go on actually, but we don't talk about these things.
>> Why would you consider yourself?
>> See, I would feel that's up for somebody else. They can call me a new fool or whatever. I don't know.
>> Let's be real. Yeah, >> we're the cool kids.
>> Really? What the [ __ ] is that? That's what I want to know. We're the cool kids everybody hates.
>> At the top.
>> The only reason why they hate us is cuz we got each other. A lot of people are bitter cuz everybody's single out here.
There's not much girls that ride trains.
And if there's a girl that rides a train, >> they don't like this.
>> Yeah. They're That's the truth.
or they're already taken because that's the way it goes out here.
>> The way in the road, brother.
>> Whoa. [ __ ] There's a Dodge Charger on that.
>> So, that's his property right there.
>> Yeah. You can barely see him.
>> The rabbit [ __ ] dog, man.
>> We didn't want to deal with him, so we didn't space with him a couple months >> before we go trespass on the other side of his fence.
>> Yeah. his [ __ ] truck.
>> But yeah, Noah said he seen somebody inside Walmart, but we don't know.
>> I don't know if he saw me. I'm pretty sure he did. He was in the canned food aisle at Walmart.
>> No, there is like a homeless couple, too. So, um that like live out by Bob's Market.
They're they got bikes, but they got two dogs. It looks like a German Shepherd type of black dog. and like a I don't know light brown type dog.
But every time they take off to go like, you know, score or get food at Walmart, I don't even know what they're doing, but they'll drive their bikes on the road and then their dogs follow like they don't tie them up wherever they're camped at. But at least I give them this. their dogs stay on the road. But >> no, their dogs are smart as all hell.
Then >> they're little bastards. But >> [ __ ] yeah, man.
>> They're going to get killed by a lot of trains work on that end, dude.
>> I think on the main road, >> they already lost one dog last year. So, it's just like homeless couple, a lesbian couple that camp here.
>> Yeah. They've been out over here for a couple days.
>> The last like I think two years off and on. Well, you know, outside. But they have one of the dogs that the same other dogs knew because I'm pretty sure the other dog got killed over by Analopee overpass that they had a memorial on the tracks for it.
>> Oh, did they?
Yeah.
And I think that's why they yell at each other for dogs being loose. But it's like, damn, tie your dog up if you're going to take off. To each their own, you know? Everybody takes care of their animal different out here.
>> But they do take care of them and they [ __ ] love the [ __ ] out of them.
>> I don't know. Yeah, for people that are new or whatever, >> Virginia is fine. We take care of her.
Yeah, >> she gets fast more than we do.
>> Has you seen yet? Like somebody commented some weird submit weird [ __ ] about >> a traveler walking um the road. Yeah, you can see all those people that road have been watching us for years now, you know, and we've been scrutinized by everybody. But you know what I mean? You can see like everyone's like, "No, dude.
You got it. You got it twisted. You got it wrong." They Virginia's fine.

Yeah, this eye it train just getting longer and longer every time I Yeah, this thing was well past uh Analopee.
It never used to be that far down there.
My guess, I haven't heard it on the radio or nothing, but it's probably like maybe a 12,000 axles, maybe something like that.
No, 12,000 ft. I'm sorry. Axles. The [ __ ] am I talking about?
That would be a really long train.
All right, we got off the train yesterday.
Yesterday afternoon. We I don't think we filmed anything, but whatever. We went and got dinner and crack for the night. But yeah, we're trying to get some shade set up.
So, we're going to dig some post holes.
Come here. Let's go.
So, this can be up a little bit.
>> Just so we can have shade.
One of these days, >> we need to just set something up out over here. Careful, man.
>> What is it? What you What the hell is she going crazy for?
>> Oh, bring You better bring it with You better bring it. See? Yeah, those will work, right? What I was talking about, too.
>> Those would be perfect.
>> Come on.
Cuz yeah, we'll just leave the posts so next time we're here at least easy. Just throw up a tarp cuz it's pain in the ass throwing up a tarp with all this sage brush [ __ ] It just it don't work. It's just too loose.
Your tarp will be lying on the ground.
All right. Well, I'm going to be I'm going to get this done.
