The Henry Novak case reveals how religious exemptions allowing Sikhs to carry ceremonial daggers (kirpans) in the UK created a dangerous situation where an 18-year-old student was stabbed to death, and police officers dismissed his dying words in favor of the attacker's accusation of racism, demonstrating how institutional fear of being labeled racist can lead to miscarriages of justice and the failure to protect innocent lives.

The Henry Novak Bodycam Footage Is Here - It's EVEN WORSE Than You ThoughtAdded:
What is up, guys? It is your friendly neighborhood, Dingo, and I had to put this video out very early in the day today because the Henry Novak body cam video has finally come out. Now, I want to warn you, what you're going to see might be distressing. If you recall in 2020, you might have been on your phone randomly one day. You open up X or whatever social media it is, and you saw this cop with his knee on a black man's head. That was George Floyd. And soon after it felt like the whole world was burning over this issue. If you don't know who Henry Novak is, he was a university student in the UK only 18 years old who was stabbed by a seed man with a ceremonial dagger. Now the issue here is that Sikhs in places like the UK are allowed to have a weapon. A weapon that is capable of killing a man because of a religious exemption. I've always said a if women aren't even allowed to carry pepper spray for self-defense, why should a group of people be able to carry a weapon? A knife, well, a dagger.
Something that could really, really damage someone simply because of their religious belief. It should not be the case. It is unfair. You have disarmed the entire population, even for self-defense, and given that right to one group of people. That is wrong. And now we have learned exactly in a tragic way why that shouldn't have been the case in the first place. So let's go right into that video.
>> He was on the bin on the other side of this.
>> He's jumped over these fences and stuff like that.
>> And he's up here, mate.
>> He's obviously >> he's fallen from there and he slipped from there.
>> There's other shooters left over there, mate.
>> What's your name, mate?
>> Huh?
>> Has anyone been hurt other than him?
>> Yeah, me.
>> My brother, my brother. He's took my turban off, started grabbing my head.
>> Are you injured?
>> Yeah. Yeah, I've got swollen eye. Little bruis.
>> All right, just step back a little bit for me.
>> Someone flagged these down.
>> All right, let's get you out of there, shall we?
>> Grab his other arm.
>> What's happened to you?
You've been stabbed. Whereabouts?
>> Don't think you have, mate.
>> Hand over.
>> Put the hand in the cuff, mate.
>> This is This is like racist. Nothing happened.
>> Sy's been stabbed.
>> Where do you think you've been stabbed?
>> In the face.
>> Oh, no. But we have to check, don't we?
>> In the face.
>> Just get these to back off. Get their details and that and I'll keep hold of them.
>> Keep you on your side, mate.
>> You better read then.
saying to him I'm keeping him on his side.
>> We were set up when we had him here in but he didn't like it.
What's your name mate?
At the moment you are under arrest.
That's for assault. So you do have to say anything may harm defense if you do not make your own question. So you later line of court. Anything you do say may be given an evidence. All right.
>> It's going to be sick. I think >> I just want you to call it.
>> Yeah. Um, we've got this mail. He >> Now, let's really think about what's happened there. The first thing these officers do, they believe the people there immediately. There's a man on the ground there. And the first thing they ask is, "Hey, what's happened? Are you injured?" And they immediately start lying. As an officer, as someone whose duty it is to people, to your citizens, how could you believe someone just based off their word? How could you take that person's side just because they yell racism, just because they yell that their turban has been removed and all this other nonsense? That is absurd. It speaks to where society is. And look, I'm not a white guy, but I can assure you a lot of genuine racism today is directed towards white people. It re it really is. It's just a matter of fact.
And they aren't able to say anything about this. This is exactly why even when I criticize Islam, I always say I can actually do it rather easily because of my background, even my skin color, because nobody would be able to throw out those accusations of racism at me that easily. But if you're someone who's European saying the same thing, you can see people getting uncomfortable. You can see the squirms. You can see people getting real weird about it. But why should that be the case? It is because we have normalized feeling that way towards a group of people. And in that sort of environment is where cases like this happen. This does not happen in a vacuum. This happens in an environment where a group of people are always assumed to be suspect, are always assumed to have a sort of original sin where they could be lying on the ground dying because someone else had done the deed. And yet who do you believe? You believe the murderer. You immediately believe the accusation of racism. And as if that accusation, that one word is enough for you to believe that person and assume that this was the great crime that happened instead of a dying man's last words. And the officer immediately goes, "No, I don't think you've been stabbed, mate. How how would you know?
How would you know? How could you know without checking? You have assumed something here. You have assumed because the power of that word that whatever this person laying on the ground dying whatever this person says it cannot be right. I believe genuinely that these officers should be charged for something. They should not be on the job. All those officers should lose their jobs genuinely. But obviously the guy who actually did the stabbing, he has been sentenced to life in prison.
But that's not going to bring back Henry Narvak. And that's not going to change the fact that this word has so much power over people. This environment has so much power. And these officers, they were also white. That's the that's the big irony here. I think they are operating in the same environment that allowed the grooming gang scandal to happen. But people were too afraid to say openly what was clear as day to everybody else. And this is what I always say. There is a number there is a number of victims that these countries especially the United Kingdom has decided is acceptable on the altar of social cohesion and multiculturalism and whatever other buzzwords they like to use. It is more important for some people to feel like they are not racist or they are not Islamophobic overdoing what is right over delivering justice and fairness. over safeguarding the innocent, over safeguarding the people who cannot defend themselves. This is not how a society should work. And obviously I want you to also understand I am for completely getting rid of this exemption for Sikhs to carry around the coupon. That dagger should not be allowed. And they might say, "Oh, it's, you know, it's our religious right or whatever." No, it has been banned elsewhere and it can be banned in the UK and I believe even in Australia here in some states it's allowed. It should be banned. In the UAE, they tried this [ __ ] And the UAE said to them, "It's either you hold the daggers or you're all getting kicked out." You can guess what they chose. This is why it is important for these countries, these governments, everybody to stand firm on principles like this. This was a gross miscarriage of justice here. It's genuinely one of the worst things I've ever seen. And yet, there won't be any rights. There won't be any cities burnt down. Not saying I want that to happen because it shows you there's a difference. There's a big difference between the British people and what you saw there in America. But I do believe what should exist is the anger and the feeling that something needs to change and people need to use the right channels to make sure this change actually takes place. Because for far too long, the United Kingdom and many other Western countries have been going in a direction that's almost bizarre.
Like you could not believe what's going on in these countries. And it is because of that that innocent people are dying.
Innocent people are getting essayed.
Innocent children are getting essay. And it is time we put a stop to this.
In the neon haze of a broken dawn, steel towers, but the wild runs on.
A shadow moves through the circus below.
Half machine, half beast, with a violet glow.
They thought the outback was lost to the flame, but a dingo returned with a code in his face.
Save up my dingo.
Racing through the night on eyes burning bright. Guiding a futures the can't control. Running on data but driven by soul.
