High-tech ambition often hits a wall of reality, proving that even the most elite engineering teams can't escape the messy process of trial and error. This explosion serves as a grounded reminder that billionaire rivalries are currently more advanced than their actual rockets.

NEW DETAILS: Blue Origin rocket blows up, Bezos & Musk reactAñadido:
Welcome back into live now from Fox and you are taking a live look here over Cape Canaveral for Florida where we have a just an absolutely wild story that happened overnight with a Blue Origin rocket exploding and there were a lot of people who saw this explosion and we are now starting to hear from witnesses and this is where we want to bring in a Fox 35's Amanda McKenzie now into the conversation. Amanda, what can you tell us about all this?
Well, a lot of folks along the space coast had this explosive view of this rocket on the launchpad looking like a bomb had gone off and Blue Origin is calling the event an anomaly. And fortunately, we can confirm that no personnel were injured. Now, you can take a look at these videos submitted by witnesses showing the moments Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket exploded right on the launchpad during a static test flight. It began as a few bright flashes of light and then a fireball and giant plume of smoke billowing into the air.
It was followed by an orange and red hue that splashed across the sky for several moments. Viewers shared these videos with us. Some say the explosion was so bright that it was like the sun coming out >> on the beach. Jessica's son just graduated. So, they're taking proud parent pictures in the um water and stuff. And we just heard a big like boom. Sky went orange. It was crazy.
Like big explosion.
>> The whole sky looked like fireballs in the sky. It was cool.
>> I was outside when it happened and um I can tell you the whole sky lit up a glow. And uh when I ran out to the beach immediately and once we confirmed and first of all thankful that that everyone's okay and everyone's been accounted for.
In this close-up video showing the explosion, you can also see small streaks like shooting stars coming out of the smoke plume and bright dust like that from fireworks. Those are pieces of fiery debris. Space Launch Delta 45 tells us debris could wash ashore over the coming days or weeks. Officials say while there is no danger from these fumes or other hazards, they're still advising that if you encounter any of this debris to contact 911 for the proper removal. Reporting live from Space View Park, Amanda McKenzie. Back to you, Amanda. Thank you for that report. Just uh grateful everybody was uh safe there. Thank you, Amanda.
>> For that, you're taking a live look there over Cape Canaveral. As we are continuing to follow this story, we have a couple reactions here. This coming from Jeff Bezos's ex account here. This says, "All personnel are accounted for and safe. It's too early to know the root cause, but we're already working to find it. Very rough day, but we'll rebuild whatever needs rebuilding and get back to flying. It's worth it." Now, we're also getting reaction from Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX. He says this, "Most unfortunate rockets are
